Always felt bad for Colin Jackson in that final. He was a very elegant dancer but I knew, when I saw those puppets, that his chance of winning the competition was gone. Don't understand what Erin was thinking when she decided to use those. 😐
Just shows you what a great choreographer Katya is..3 in the top 10..deservedly so..absolutely loved Ed Balls..never took himself too seriously and went full into strictly mode..Gangnam Style has to be THE best good suprise dance..everyone expected him to make a prat out of himself but people didnt know this was his 'go to' dance at parties!!.. a good sport..Kelvin Fletcher was a revelation .. from that first dance he had the glitter ball.. Joe McFadden another winner ..Danny Mac's Samba should have been in there instead of Flavia and Russell Grant though..just my opinion..
I'm all in for excluding Show Dance/Couple's Choice from the list, or make them their own list. Of course Show Dances are usually surprising because there are not really any rules and they are made for "surprise" and "wow factor" to win over the audience.
Whilst I agree with show dances being excluded, couples' choice dances have their own separate set of conventions and competitive criteria (as someone who competes lyrical contemporary and has seen hip hop and jazz competitive routines)
