This is what TWL Siege is all about. I cant stress it enough how important these prac matches really are, i gave rouvak few tips on how to defend this map and told him to be aggressive and confident in his cav play. Next game you guys go on and do this to me and Pedro(mexican Obama) 😅 That cav play through the gate and between the torts straight into my rhodians and a cretan was a game winner. If you guys are this aggressive and confident with your plays, them we are looking at a dangerous playoff team
Wow, crazy close game. 60 extra models on that noble fighter general would have made a huge difference in late game so that's a rough one. Can't wait to see how well this strat works in the actual tournament!
Just to clarify. Sparta can also be used on defense. Theyre just not as good on defense due to Spartas playstyle and is heavily advised against being used on defense. Thats why you see Sparta on attack more often.
Nice battle! I am really no pro when it comes to Rome 2 but at the end you really played into the attackers hands. Its like you put them on the defense which I would say was a mistake, cause you had numerical superiority and also ranged units with ammo. In this case you really dont want this street fights. You could have fall back and retreat to the more open area and fight the Spartans there, cause then you could have flanked them alot easier I guess. Since you were the defenders you were not forced to fight there and Id say this place was disadvantageous in that situation. Again I am no pro, but maybe it helps in other tournament battles to keep in mind that you choose the place to fight
Just gotta point out how retarded skirmishers, especially javelins, are in rtw2. They use a ridiculous amount of time to release, as if every soldier in the unit needs to have a clear shot first.
