Thanks! I used the factory shift linkage and modified the shift lever on the 545rfe to work with the linkage. You can use the mount from the 727 and bolt it onto the 545 and drill a new hole to use the linkage.
Nice RC and build. I have an almost identical 85 RC 318/727/4x4 that I'm looking to do a Hemi swap on. Can you give some more details about the swap process and what components were used? I see you got the DIYHEMI ECU and harness. What about the trans (still running the 727)? What did you do for headers and fuel system?
@@texas_mopar7019 Thanks for the response. I can't seem to figure out how to DM on here these days. There used to be an "About" section with contact info on channels. Don't see it anymore. I could use a throwaway email to get in touch.
@@texas_mopar7019 i would also like these details....i have a 85 and chance to buy a 2010 4wd hemi truck for the parts...3k for the rusted out truck with 135k miles?
I’m thinking about doing this swap in my 1989 D100 but I want to keep the factory ac working. How did you get the lines for the ac? Also what did the motor come out of?
I did the swap myself and made all my own mounts and adaptors need so it wasn’t that expensive on that end but then I ran 3” stainless exhaust and that got expensive. I’d say it you could do most the work and bought all the parts plus engine and transmission you could do it for 3500-5k depending on how much the donor engine cost.
The engine is out of a 2006 ram 2500. Yes I’m in Texas but I don’t work on other peoples stuff because I don’t have time between work and my own projects sorry. I’m more then willing to answer any questions you have though.
I have 93 Ramcharger I want to do the same . Shops in dallas have no desire to help. There all looking for a 5.9 to replace the original. I have a descent budget.. Does anyone no of a shop? Thanks.
very cool nice job
Very nice. I have a 1990 d150 with the same set up. Fun to drive!!
Sounds awesome! Super clean truck.
Very sweet hemi swapped in this mid 80s Dodge Ram charger

Wow i love thus youtube. I just thought anbout what this would look n sound like and boom this video suggestion pop right up😂😂😂😂
How did you make or put together the shift linkage from the 727 column shifter to the transmission? How is the MPG ? Looks awesome !

Love This! Thank you for sharing! Sounds Great Too! What transmission, 727?
545rfe mated to the 208 transfer case
@@texas_mopar7019how did u get a 545 to fit a 208?
I’m thinking about doing this swap in my 1989 D100 but I want to keep the factory ac working. How did you get the lines for the ac? Also what did the motor come out of?
I bought a kit and made my own lines, I’ll look it up and link it, 2006 ram 2500.
Looks good but the filter is in a horrible spot
Agreed but I looked for a while trying to find something that would look better. Should of just swapped everything and ran a car intake.
@@texas_mopar7019 Do you have a fab around there? That may be the best option
Which transmission? The onwme that came with the Hemi or the factory?
I used the 545rfe from a 2007 ram 1500 2wd and used a 4wd adaptor and mated it to the factory 208 transfer case
How much was the swap? Who did the work? I have the same one and would like to have more info.

I’d say it you could do most the work and bought all the parts plus engine and transmission you could do it for 3500-5k depending on how much the donor engine cost.
What kind of car did you get the engine from? How much would you charge to do it yourself? Are you located in Texas?

What year dodge hemi best for this swap
Really depends on budget, 03-08 are affordable and easy to DIY.
What kind of Rad is that?
It’s a 4 row one I got off eBay, about middle of the road on price.
