    Actually i’ve done the same test and had the same results! Bronco tire dead last, Defender tires are much better (and softer) At the end my set of Injora’s MT (at 2.44in) are incredible! With the metal beadlocks AND wheel weight i can climb a 45 degrees wood incline with the Defender body and 52 degrees with the Bronco one. Great video, thanks for all these infos!

    SOLID work, good findings! 👍 Another thing to consider running outdoors is the environmental conditions - let the tires sit in the sun for half an hour in summer time and they will literary become sticky (there is a vid somewhere of a guy having hard times (😜) with tires and batteries in a frosty winter morning).

    Just replaced all the drive train bushings with sealed bearings from INJORA and the Defender is a lot smoother. Getting my crawler gears this week and will do the rest of the bearings. Have a set of INJORA beadlocks with RC4WD mudslingers and 5 mm spacers. Need some weight on the front end and I I think it’ll crawl much better.

    I always enjoy videos where more budget conscientious products do well. I don't know much of anything about crawling. But, it appears to me a light body is an asset when climbing and bigger tires are sometimes the same. If you're going out on the trails without any difficult crawling scale bodies look cool and perform well. But, your demonstration crawl without a body seems to demonstrate lighter is better.

    • @RoadsideRC
      @RoadsideRC  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Yes! Lighter is always better!!!

    • @michaeldorich4485
      @michaeldorich4485 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@RoadsideRC That's what I thought. I am always surprised when people say that this or. that crawler is really good because it's a hard plastic body. Look at the Axial Base Camp with a light weight body and it performs well. As you know in on road racing there are light weight or extra light for bodies races. Are there times in crawling where smaller tires are better?

    • @RoadsideRC
      @RoadsideRC  ปีที่แล้ว +2

      @@michaeldorich4485 Yes! Too much tire is a bad thing. After you get to a certain height, you are just increasing your center of gravity.

      @@ironj100Traxxas seems to think those cheap orings are a good idea. They aren't. Over just the course of months, they can dry rot or tear from use, and it's very inconvenient to lose the pin.
      - Do NOT use thread lock or glue on them.
      - Do consider using heat shrink. Works great.
      - Or just invest in better shafts.
