    Great video. I have several of your mods on my 2024 500. Surprisingly other than the mustang seat, Vans waffle grips are my other favorite mode. Thanks for sharing!

      Thanks! I have a lot of backlogged content to get out as well and definitely looking forward to making more stuff in the future. I do like the idea of the Vans grips but never pulled the trigger on them; I have a few reasons for that but they are definitely quite popular! It's difficult to choose a favorite but if I had to, my top case. It's not the most visually appealing thing but I love having all the lockable storage. You can see it in my other video. Thanks again for the support!

      @@FreekenRides I have the t-rex racing floor boards as well. I have searched and searched, but cant' find the one thing I think most Rebel riders could use... a lowering adapter piece allowing me to drop the factory Footpegs about 2 inches. Have you seen seen such a thing? I'm 5'11 with only a 32 inseam, but the 2" drop would help so much.

    Thanks for the video! How's the cup holder? I am considering getting a set and I wanted to find out how much vibration transfers to the drink you are carrying? Have you dared to try a coffee cup, or do you only use it for water bottles?

      Hello and thanks for the support! I mostly do to-go drinks when picking up take out food so they always have lids...but even if I ride with a straw in the drink, there are no issues. I've rode in the past with my steel coffee cup as well but it did tend to get pushed upwards. Just make sure you aren't putting anything too lightweight in there...otherwise, better to strap the top somehow. Still looking for the perfect top strap for my coffee rides. Hope that helps!

    Isn't aluminum kind of weak for a crash bar? Ive seen crash bars all crumpled up Maybe thats why.

      Probably better than nothing but hoping I will never have to find out!

    I really like your bike. After my motorcycle accident last year (hit a deer), I impulse purchased a 2006 Suzuki S40. I have regretted it since, as it is very temperamental when idling and running when it is humid and/or raining. How do you like the Rebel 500? I am thinking of selling the Suzuki and getting a Rebel 500. I am more interested in not being stranded out in the middle of nowhere since I do a lot of solo rides in a lot of remote places in Northeast PA and Northern NJ. Any thoughts about Pirelli MT60 tires? I used to take my old Rebel 250 down forest access roads and off the beaten path (dirt/gravel roads). The deer totaled that bike, and I miss that reliability that bike had (and running all day long at nearly 80 mpg). The S40 only does like 45 mpg and has no trip or fuel gauge, plus a tiny tank, and everything is at least 20-30 miles away in Northeast PA.

      Thanks!!! I'm sorry to hear about your accident, hopefully, you didn't suffer from any lasting impacts. My first bike (Yamaha R6) was totaled by a distracted driver who ran into me while I was stopped at a red light; it took me over a decade to get riding again. I like my Rebel 500 as it's really perfect for what I use it for at the moment which is getting around the local area. I would not take it on a long-distance trip but people do it. If I were to do my purchase over again though, I might have gone with the 1100 DCT which will likely be my future bike (DCT because I'm getting old). I do think the 500 is better for TH-cam content though as it seems like a more popular bike and I was able to pay it off rather quickly which is also a big plus. I'm not knowledgeable when it comes to tires and I wouldn't recommend anything I haven't tried. I know there is a lot of hate on the 500's stock Dunlops which is what I have and perhaps there are better options but I haven't had issues with mine. I have done research on the 1100's common speed wobble issues it seems like swapping the tires fixes that. I don't think you can go wrong with getting another Honda Rebel, I would just advise against the 300 but to each their own.

      I'm 5'10"...the 500 is fine but I would fit better on 1100 and probably should have initially gone that route.

    Fork gaiters/boots probably?

      I'd probably try it if they were an easy install but it's a little above my skill level, I think. Not a fan of the cut and glue I've seen people do as shortcuts either.

    You know ehat would be cool? To get a passenger seat module by givi, which you'd be just able to put on the back if you need it

    • @FreekenRides
      @FreekenRides  7 หลายเดือนก่อน

      You talking about the part that straps on a passenger seat? My thing with the 500 for me is I think the bike is too small for a passenger so I didn't mind a fixed storage mount in place. I think for a shorter driver, the idea is great! Maybe if I got an 1100 which may happen in the future.

    I like it. I have a 2023 Rebel 500 ABS. I put the same crash bars on mine. I did saddlebag brackets and have have bags on both sides. I installed the sissy bar with the back carrier. I had the dealer install the power port. I installed a Coffmans exhaust which is made in the USA. I love my rebel it's perfect for me.

      Thanks! Did you go with the Shorty or Thunder? I almost pulled the trigger on the Thunder and then I got my Vance & Hines for a great deal BUT, I think I would go Thunder if I did it over again.
