    Start by peeling and cutting your potatoes into even strips.
    Soak the potato strips in cold water for about 30 minutes to remove excess starch. This helps them get crispy.
    Drain and pat them dry with a paper towel.
    Heat oil in a deep pan to around 350°F (175°C). Make sure the oil is hot enough for frying!
    Fry the potatoes in batches, cooking each batch for 3-5 minutes until they’re slightly golden.
    Remove the fries and let them cool for a few minutes.
    Fry the cooled fries again at 375°F (190°C) for another 2-3 minutes until crispy and golden brown.
    Season with salt while they’re hot and enjoy your homemade French fries!
