    Awesome tie, very detailed. I really enjoyed the arts and crafts part, you explained the colors that should be there to mimic a bait fish.

    This is a great looking minnow pattern. I'm going to tie up some for largemouth bass here in North Texas. Thanks for the great tutorial

      Yes. The test tank showed a lot of flow. I wanted more marabou but like how it looks when tied a bit sparser

    Nice, Seen allot of tying and not many glue every couple of steps. I use glue like it was on sale.🤣
    Great looking bait fish, I'm going to put a couple in my arsenal. Thank you.

    I think you used just the right amount. If anything less is better. Might even try polar chenille.

    Did you lose one of your olive feathers at the end?

    • @Svenddiesel
      @Svenddiesel  ปีที่แล้ว

      No a whole feather. Just a bit of the marabou fluffs. Might have been the tight wraps that cut it or just a weak stem, can’t remember. Had to rewatch it to see what you were referring to

    Do the lead eyes turn the hook over in when fishing the fly? Or are they just there to add weight and color. Great looking fly btw

    • @Svenddiesel
      @Svenddiesel  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      The lead eyes placed on the same side as the hook point will keep the hook riding hook point down. They are added for two reasons, eyes and weight. If you place the eyes on the top of the shank (opposite of the hook point) it will invert the hook and cause it to ride point up. Tying them this way you will also benefit from the eyes and weight of adding them, in addition to it riding hook point up
