Nice video .....I tie up similar bugs like this for salt water ( inshore ) I get halibut with them ( 6 yesterday ) . Best colors are orange / white combo . I streamer swing them in the out going / in going tide flows .

Great video. I have the exact same vice, been using it for years. I tie a similar fly but add a small bit of Flashback Tinsel in red pearl to represent the gills, or any other type of holographic tinsel. just so it's no so white. Hot spots on flies seem to be the thing now a days. Fish Sculls work awesome too, in both plastic and metal if you need to get it down. Tight lines, keep em coming

tie it in smaller sizes and it really catches panfish and brook trout in those small to tiny creeks as well

What does the uv light do to the glue ??? Makes it dry faster ???

It's uv clear cure glue. It doesn't set until you zap it with the uv light.

For an all round get the job done streamer, you can't go wrong with one tied with marabou. Nice and clean tying my friend! I bought some of those Allen bass hooks but I'm skeptical that they would hold up to the larger fish, i.e. I predict that they would straighten out. What are your thoughts?

I haven't had one straighten out yet, but I know what you mean. They are a lighter wire hook. I use a different hook for pike and musky flies but for bass and trout the allen hooks seem to do the job. If money wasn't a concern I would buy Gamagatsu B10s all that time. They are a better quality hook. But the Allens have the same shape and profile for a fraction of the price and still get the job done. Buy the Gamas if you can afford it though!

Nice fly pattern. But you need to do 2 improvements. 1) Get/use a longer, streamer hook. 2) You DEFINITELY didn't leave enough space between your material & the eyes/head material. You're jamming too much material at the eye of the hook
