i'm curious, why is it that throughout history, culture, evolution, there was a rite of passage for guys, men, but not for girls, women? or is it true there are some rite of passages for girls?

I feel like nature kind of took care of that with the whole menstruation thing... Men don’t have as prominent of a natural marker of sexual maturity, hence, the reason that “rite of passage” rituals seem to have always been more prominent amongst men

I have followed the whole pua culture for 10 years, since I first read 'The Game'by Neil Strauss. Some early gurus said stuff that was confusing or that seemed disingenuous or manipulative, but the whole community has become more and more relevant and interesting by the year.Given that Western society seems to be fraying, and that men-women relationships are fraught with angst and misunderstanding, you would think that this sort of video deserves to be watched by millions of folks,so we can heal ourselves, men and women, and live more integrated lives. The msm, when it even acknowledges the community, does so only in terms of scandal,as when Julian Blanc of RSD was pilloried for horseplay with a woman on youtube. You wonder what has gone wrong!!

Interesting presentation. I was born in 1956 to Finnish immigrant parents who were born in the 1920s, and who mentally remained mostly in the tough and cautious mindset of their childhood and early-adult years while making a good life for themselves and their children here in America. Many of their friends, around whom I grew up, were also Finnish immigrants of that same generation. My father was a boxer in his youth and a soldier in the Finnish Army during World War II. I don't remember him talking much about the specifics of how to be properly masculine, beyond basic practical advice such as don't break the law or you'll go to prison, and don't cry no matter what because that's unmanly, etc. Beyond that he demanded absolute obedience, with no back-talk or complaining allowed. I resented this at the time but now I understand the value of the upbringing that he gave me. I acquired my masculinity not so much from wise words of advice as from simply imitating (consciously and probably unconsciously) him and his male friends. To a large extent I became him, and I am grateful for that. I feel sorry for you young guys who never had that masculine example to follow when you were growing up, and I can see what a terrible struggle it can be for you to find that on your own. I respect you for trying and I wish you success in that regard.

Very Good advice! YOU must value and think well of youself before anyone else will.
Bible Quote: When I was a child, I spake as a child, I understood as a child, I thought as a child: but when I became a man, I put away childish things. - 1 Cor 13:11 KJV
Give not thy strength unto women, nor thy ways to that which destroyeth kings. - Prov 31:3

I want to piggyback off of something he said: There are still Heroes that we can look to, but the thing is we’ve been looking in the wrong places. What’s the first thing Superman, Batman, Spider-Man, or even Jesus himself did after saving someone? He hid himself away, and stayed out of the spotlight.
Just like his comments on the rap culture, those who are always in your face and are always trying to make themselves appear better than you are not worth your time. You’ll know you’ve found a good role model when everything in his life is quiet. Look for those who have raised good families; who have their finances in check, who are of good spirits, and ask them for honest guidance.
Because beautiful things do not ask for attention.
