Very Well Made , perfect work , seems very efficient , wondering how many psi this tank could stand ??? 100 psi , 80psi or 60psi as max ???All the best .
I've seen a couple air tank builds but your take the cake pal. The build quality is fantastic. The idea to go the next step and build a block to hold the gauge, inlet and outlet was just great. I'm so impressed I'll go and make your additions to my air tank. Keep it up pal.
I had a house gas bottle and left the tap and base in place but added a proper bottle fitting and plugged it into my compressor for and extra tank by hose and fittings. Took 15 minutes
Not many tools??? Well-built tank but dude got money... Drill press, big bore tap set, plasma cutter (air compressor for plasma cutter), MIG welder, angle grinder, table vise, hardened big bore drill bits, high end fire resistant welders overalls and gloves, and all to make a portable tank to top off the tires of his Mercedes... This isn't the average "lemme scrape around see what I have in the garage..." this is "hmmmm... I'm bored, what can I make in my shop today?" 😂🤘😎💵
What was the point of adding wheels and a handle? A tank like that is easily light enough to carry. This seems like a fun project but most of this was just a waste of time.
thats a lot of work but in looks great. i just bought a refillhose(?) that has no pressure reducer, cut it in half and put a air connector on to it. cost me 20 bugs for two tanks and i can convert them with only a wrench.
I made mine from an old freon tank I just added a manifold to the valve that was on the tank which also let fill the tank and shut It off so it didn't leak
Nice job, but the only thing I noticed was that you ran your pipe taps in to deep. Since they are tapered, the farther you go, the bigger the thread diameter gets and you don`t get a tight seal because most fittings will screw all the way in and not "jam" up like a taper pipe is supposed to do. Still a real good job though.
Great idea for Aires tank. I try to do one for me and for my small works in painting small things. When I can I restauring a kids cars and make a dioramas. For that this is perfect. Thanks for idea.

Bro, very good job, I take my hat for you. I loved all the details, and I even watched the all video without skipping many of the parts... it would make more sense for me that this was done during Coronavirus lockdown, where we all have time to spare ... LOL
Nice, more than what I'd do. Viewers, do not tighten pressure gauge by grasping the round housing. You will bung the thin sht mtl. There are flats for a wrench.
Now that is impressive! Absolutely beautiful. You made your own distribution block!?! Awesome video. Love the color. Great job! Much respect from the US. Keep your videos coming

@@tonyhillyard1613 just buy a spare tank for air compressors (or a tank for a truck's air brake system), you get tested material without the need of doing weldings by yourself, you can mount the rest into this tanks without problems. These tanks are often made for 150 Psi working pressure.
That a good idea but it would cost so much to have someone to build one because you can make it yourself people like me don't have the tools to do it are self so bad video.
Great work and craftsman but I am very concern about the safety of using a propane tank in this manner. I guess it would be ok if you coat the inside of the tank with paint or plasti dip so it will not rust and pop on you.
I don't know if it's coated, however propane gas has no oxygen in it, and no moisture. But even with a coated tank the coating is gone if you heat it up too much, like around weldings which are done at home.
@@timsaveneh567 You get coated ones, but not with inexpensive compressors. Kaeser (a good German brand) offers models with coated tanks, Schneider also.
This is a brilliant build! - I want to make one of these based based on this fantastic design but does anybody know, or to what to look for, with the maximum pressure that one of these cylinders can go to safely? - I did see a cylinder years ago in our local tip that was possibly along the same lines, but nowhere as good!, that had 'blown up' in that it was obviously split open by a large inside pressure.

Really not sure is it worth the effort, so much labor in this tank.
An einem Druckbehälter rumzuschweißen ohne Prüfung ist halt schon grob fahrlässig.

Pas mal du tout bon boulot bravo!!

This is why he flushed it with water.

Air compressor tanks are not treated or special, hence why they rust as well. Drain the moisture and it'll be fine

typical overpressure valves coming with the original tank vent at ~325psi so the tank should be cable of 150psi of reserve air...

A+ job on the tank. Something of a contradiction is the very experienced workmanship but most of those tools appeared to be new, first time use.
you built a compressed air tank so that you can put air in your car tire? I would have gone to the gas station and paid the .25 cent.
