Good video! I have a 2007 Precedent I plan to upgrade when the Trojan wet cell batteries get old. I like the set up for the Eco lithium battery. Thanks

Great video James! You just shipped a battery out to me in the West. Eager to apply the tips & ticks in the video on the install.

Needed parts that are NOT included with the kit.....42" battery cables (one for positive, one for negative), a club car "J hook hold down rod" for a 6 battery system, you can find them on Amazon. The factory hold down rods do not have the proper thread size to hold the battery down. Some small rubber or plastic shims in case your battery tray is not even, to keep the battery from rocking. Call, email or text if you run into any problems!

I usually make them, I’ve got a roll of two gauge cable and I get the terminal ends of Amazon and I got the cable crimper off Amazon. Not as difficult as it looks

Are the J hook hold down rods a must or will my current rods I have on my 2008 precedent work? I have the 4 battery (12V) same as in video with the counsel in the middle. Also, When you cut the wires to the OBC bypass, why did you seal the wires and reconnect it? is it necessary to have that connected? and if so, would electrical tape work for it?

Believe or not the last negative post on any battery set up is a common negative for 12 V accessories or 48 V. So if your cart did not come with a black wire pigtail off the negative cable, (usually has a yellow button connector on it) just hook it up to the negative on your EcoBattery. Trust me it will be fine!

I just installed this whole set up on my 2004 Club Car Precedent. Thank you for the step-by-step instructions! Have you installed the Navitas AC conversion kit onto a pre-2008 Club Car Precedent?

I have installed Eco batteries on carts with Navitas , but I have not personally done a Navitas on a pre-2004. It’s not a lot of difference in my opinion I’ve done lots of Navitas kits on newer carts. I definitely would bypass the OBC and there are plenty good videos out there on bypassing the OBC 👍

Great video. How did you connect the blue wire for the lights to the 12v source and how are the connections for the negative on the 12v system connected for the lights?

Hey there!, Most light harnesses are add on (not from club car), they are designed for 12v (but the led lights will work fine on 16v) so for the Eco set up the voltage reducer will have a large red wire for the 13.5v output, and a large black wire for the 13.5v ground. Both of these wires do NOT have ring terminals from Eco. The INPUT wires from the voltage reducer DO HAVE ring terminals on them and they are yellow for 51V positive and black for 51v negative. With just lights, I usually wire my negative and positive up to the 13.5v output with a butt end connector. IF you have more than 1 or 2 accessories, I would do a fuse block. Very easy and cheap. Hope this helps!

Thanks for the response. Which wire is the negative 12v wire on the golf cart. The aftermarket light kit connects via the blue wire fused on the positive 12v, but I want to confirm the negative 12v on the cart.@@Kartznfartz

I have the same Question my cart is a 2008 club car precedent with the 4 12volt batteries and I'm in the process of converting to 48volt lithium batteries and don't want to blow my lights. The positive is that blue wire which is connected to one of the 12volt batteries but where's the negative wire at he said early on in the video I'll be explaining that later but never does. Cuts to well that's wrap and I'm like what I just watched the whole video to see where the negative is on a 2004-2008.5 club car precedent and nothing. @user-zl2vk9bk7z
