What is so great about heather and Chris is that they are actually old good friends. When they did not totally agree about the trans-thing I did not bother because they have that bond that they can disagree and still be friends. They are not just "yes-anding" each other and I love that
None of us should be scared to share our opinions! Thank you Heather for talking about Erasure of women. We can be kind to trans ppl but also acknowledge females being/ feeling erased. Thank you for also talking about Female sports!
Sports is where it gets me… There is a definite advantage when you're born a man… And to pretend that's not a real thing is ridiculous we have to be able to talk about these things without being accused of being racist or sexist or whatever the case may be… These are issues that have to be addressed and if we're too scared to talk about them nothing gets fixed… Nothing gets accomplished… And things go bad quickly
@@chellebelle3538 Yes, these are definitely issues that have to be addressed and they are being talked about, not by you or me or Heather McDonald, but by delegates of the IOC and other sports establishments. It's interesting, however, that you only mentioned trans women but not trans men; because if, for example, you decide that trans women cannot compete in women's sports (because of their "definite advantage" of being born as male), does that mean that trans men CAN compete in women's sports because they have not been given that advantage?
Love your discussion on the Trans issue with women! More people need to talk about it and not be scared of being canceled because you have an opposing opinion. Go heather and chris!
Heather- it’s sad that you had to preface your statement with “this is scary”. We should be able to voice our opinion’s without the fear of backlash. If people don’t speak up because they’re too afraid, the sanity that’s left in the world will dissipate - never to return.
I'm a very far left progressive and even I feel like it's just gotten RIDICULOUS. 🤦🏼♀️ You shouldn't have to fear being "cancelled" just for sharing your opinion on something.
YAY! It's a Franjola episode!! No better way to start a day than with the 'original blue-eyed favourite' and our 'Queen of scoopy delights' - happy Thursday everyone :) x
aw Heather, it pulled on my heart hearing you say "this is scary" to talk about. I agree that it can be. Thank you for having courage to share your opinion here! It's invaluable.
I got married when I was 18 & everyone told us not to literally everyone. I even lost friends because they were not supportive at all. He was my HS sweetheart. It’s been 10 years & I do think we were young but honestly you just have to be willing to fight the fight. If not it won’t last
Many don’t have the maturity at 18 to fight the fight. So glad it worked out for you. I also got married at 18 and mine didn’t last. It’s a strange dynamic when you marry before it is legal to drink and when my ex was able to drink he became an alcoholic and turned into a different person.
@@hawazennnnn who are these people you are accusing of forcing children to transition? Where did you get these facts? The actual number of people transitioning in America is roughly 7%. It’s not contagious. If someone’s pronouns are they/them why does it make you feel so angry? I would bet it doesn’t affect your life in the slightest.
I wish people were as concerned about the women who are brutalized or murdered by their male partners on a regular basis as they are by these hypotheticals involving the trans community. Thanks for the perspective of reality, Chris!
I think it’s important to add that not only it’s highly problematic to say women are unsafe when trans women use women’s bathrooms but that this discourse on trans histeria is being weaponized by right-wingers to create panic and a narrative that wokeness is destroying the country. Let’s not be fools and focus on problems like inequality and having a habitable planet. Let’s worry about CO2 emissions and biodiversity. Let trans people live and thrive. They’re not predators like the commenter here are explicitly stating in this very sad comment section. If Heather thinks it’s hard for the moms who drove the girls to practice I suggest to really think about the hardships and violence trans people face everyday just by existing. Think about their moms and dads worrying about their extremely high rates of suicide and mental illness from not being accepted. For being treated the way some commenters here are advocating. Team Franjola all the way baby. Voice of reason. Listen to your friend Heather, he is a sensible good egg.

Heather should put a T-shirts & mugs out that say, "whatever who cares" . I would show that mug off at work, before the coffee kicks in, loud & proud.😅 Side note - my 2 neices who are sister, did another version of 23 & me. When they received it, both where completely different. Now they both look like both my brother & my sister in law. Couple of people teased that maybe they had different fathers. My sister in law, who is a nurse,(family filled with doctors & nurses) was so up set. She got them both tested to show that they are both children of my my brother & her. None of us including my nieces questioned it. Morel of the story don't panic if this happens to you.🤞😉 Side note- I had an injury to my shoulder & arm. I couldn't shave under that arm. It was so uncomfortable, when it became fully grown in. It was itchy, don't get started when I sweat. It felt so gross. 😅
Thank you Heather for hi lighting the rights of female athletes and prisoners. You’re right that it’s scary to talk about, but it needs wise discussion 🦋
@@bluesmama3726 like religious figures, politicians, teachers, and coaches? Because that is who is arrested every single week for harming children sexually. Or do you mean gun violence?
You mean the rights of the female prisoners being r*ped by prison guards, right? Oh, and the ones being r*ped by cis female prisoners. Those crimes happen on a regular basis. Also, transgender prisoners are at high risk of being victims of r*pe. Check out the statistics and let's talk about those issues.
In regard to the bathroom discussion and the concept of “erasing women”: Standing up for trans rights and equality is not the issue that is seemingly “erasing” women. The choices being made by the still-mostly-male-run society to pseudo-accommodate for trans individuals in society is what has been detrimental to women. In the story, notice how the Women’s restroom was the one that was changed but the mens room remained “the mens room”. This was not an inclusive change. The way to move forward would be to make both restrooms all-genders or to create a third restroom that is all-genders. Remember that there is no harm in keeping 2 restrooms, one for women and one for men; the harm is when we restrict people from walking into the restroom that they feel most comfortable in. There are countless examples of men abusing the gendered restrooms (peeping toms, pedos, etc.) but it’s difficult to find the same stats on women perpetrators. The issue is not protecting Women/society from trans individuals, the issue is protecting them from men. I love how Heather regularly discusses the conversations she has with her boys because a lot of people don’t have those conversations and boys continue to grow up with little guidance on boundaries, bodily respect toward others, and the meaning of “no” when it comes to consent. Anywhoo, love me some juicy scoop and am glad you two discussed these tough topics today. Would love for you to have Dylan on for an interview.
I was married at 19. We just celebrated our 35th anniversary in December. Most days, I'm grateful. Other days....wellll 👊👊... Lol. Whatever age you get married, you have to work at it. It's not always easy, but worth the effort.
New to the channel. Hello Heather. I just watched you for the first time with Annalise 10 to life and I love you I’m glad you were on the show today. Just subscribed, it’s nice to have some new content from another perspective. 👍
Chris's episodes are usually my favorite and this one especially tickled me! I agree with so much of what you and Chris say and it's incredibly refreshing. So happy you and Chris have remained such good friends all these years
In the late 80's, my Mom was all about not finishiing her plate. She would take home half a quarter pounder from McDonalds and leave it in the fridge. Win for me, she never wanted to eat it again. But I did!
My friend & I were talking about that Amazon Prime commercial! Once we found out what it was about, we really got offended, lol! Thank you Heather for talking about us getting erased, because it certainly feels that way.
Once you actually found out what it was about, growing little girls accepting themselves & the changes their bodies are going through instead of physically changing themselves to be accepted by what’s popular, you got offended? YIKES. I hope you don’t have little girls or litters nieces. I hope you don’t pressure them into changing themselves if they feel comfortable with what they look like naturally. Hair is natural on a young girls body, especially a pre-teen. This is a disturbing take. A lot of young girls, a lot of teenagers, a lot of grown women deal with facial hair every day. You’re here talking about women getting erased, yet you’re shaming women for wanting to be themselves in the same damn breath. I guess women are only women if they live according to YOUR own personal standards. Which is the whole reason y’all are problematic.
I saw another TH-camr say she had to just teach her 18 year old daughter how to address a letter and what side the stamp went on so she could mail out her graduation invitations 🤦♂️ Schools appearantly don't make them like they used too 🤷♂️
Maybe when girls were only allowed to be secretaries? I feel like that is a life skill normally taught at home. I think it’s strange for us to expect that of teachers too outside of a office skills class.
@MrsJennRod10 I may have been in school a few decades ago, but I recall being taught how to address an envelope in 3rd grade, and it was not part of a secretary role. There is too much garbage in the current curriculum, and no real-life skills are being taught anymore like balancing a check book or addressing an envelope. Should that be taught in the home, sure, but what are they teaching if they aren't helping them learn how to navigate the real world?
@@partynxs5351 I have children in college, and in middle school and they are learning a lot. And I come from a family of teachers and administrators. They are not teaching crap. I assure you.
The fact that this mother had to be told to clean up her own childrens’ mess is what’s alarming to me. Then she cried about it? 🙄 She was 100% going to leave that popcorn there for the flight attendants to clean up.
Heather - thank you so much for sharing your concern for women prisoners and athletes. It’s an important conversation with a lot of nuance. Just saying, it’s going to be fine, doesn’t address the reality for some women today. 💜
Thank you Chris! I’m sure there will be a few issues and everyone will be dealt with appropriately. It’s definitely a hard conversation but it’s not coming up on every team in every school!
Many years ago, when Kelly and Mark’s kids were small, they literally ran into me, playing in Citarella’s Deli out here in Bridgehampton, NY on Island Ny where I lived. The kids were having fun and I smiled up at Kelly as she came to corral them and Mark was close by. She gave me a look as if I had annoyed her, right after I told her how cute her kids were, took the kids and walked away from me without a word. Mark was right behind her and said hi how are you and was very cordial. He noticed her reaction to me and looked embarrassed. She was cold as a stone. Maybe she was tired, sick, annoyed at someone else, etc. idk, but if you can’t cough up a kind smile or say hello to a potential Fan who is making you filthy rich ( and oh how rich she became), then maybe the entertainment field is not for you. I use that word Entertainment loosely when speaking of Kelly. Lol Even though I was working and never watched her show, occasionally I caught it and I was never impressed. She thinks she’s so funny and her exaggerated enthusiasm and bouncing up and down is fun to watch, no it’s not and it’s ridiculous at her age. And she can’t take her eyes off herself as she looks over at the monitor all throughout the show as I remember. Ugh. I recall that run in and thought of Maya Angelou’s quote. “When someone shows you who they are, believe them the first time”. Heather, you rock ❤ Love your podcast. Huge fan. ❤
You guys are SO good! Made me laugh so much, as usual. I am actually happy to be an OLD woman, because I kind of feel like you, Heather, about the future of AI and all of the difficulties it will wreak on humans. I DO, however, worry about what this all means for my children, grandchildren, and future descendants. 😥
1:05:21 I just love Chris❤❤❤!! It's not as prevalent, it's not keeping anyone up at night. It's manufactured uproar. He's team Raise your kids and mind your business. Now people are pretending that they actually ever cared about female athletes
Lmao that is such a great point. Women's sports have never been respected and hardly acknowledged at all. So true. I'm a little surprised someone as cool as Heather doesn't realize this is all bullshit when a two second google search can inform you trans are literally a community that make up less than 1% of the damn population. This shit is a joke. And I disagree with her being like well if one "real woman" is robbed which is what she wants to say I"m sure then none of it's worth it. Pretty bad take. It's like when white people constantly cry about affirmative action. It's racist and I think what she's doing unwittingly is transphobic.
I just need to say this because Heather was DEAD WRONG about this & it wasn’t okay for her to make a blanket statement like that and dismiss the whole idea like women aren’t problematic too. Women ABSOLUTELY can and, unfortunately, DO assault/rape other women, and it absolutely IS a problem in women’s prisons. It’s also really disturbing to hear her say that women can’t rape other women because they don’t have a penis, because they can’t penetrate? Like, WTF?? Yikes. We all know that’s just not true. There’s TOO many ways to sexually assault someone. In prisons especially, brutal rapes often involve objects, forced penetration via fingers, they can be forced to do things orally or have things done to them, be held down, it’s AWFUL. That made my stomach hurt to hear her just completely dismiss that idea as utterly impossible, when women have been terrorized by other women, even gangs of other women for the entire duration of the time they’ve had to serve. It is life-changing trauma, and it is not only committed by men. We need to stop pretending that women are not also the predators sometimes. Heather, you really needed to think more about this before you spoke on it. It was really sickening to hear. A lot of women’s lives have been destroyed because of the trauma they experienced during their time in a women’s prison, and so many of them don’t feel like they can even talk about it because they feel like they are going to be met with responses like yours. The prison system needs to figure out a legitimate screening system before allowing transitioning folks into women’s prisons. I agree that some men ARE disgusting human beings trying to con the system & get themselves into a better situation by pretending that they are transitioning, but those folks are LYING - the folks who are actually transitioning are not trying to rape anyone, and that’s where people need to GTFU & get over themselves. They are just trying to exist & live their lives, safely, like everyone else. I think that, if these folks want to be allowed into the women’s facilities, they need to show proof that they have been in the process of transitioning for a significant period of time, that they’ve put in the work, that they’ve been seeing the therapists, that they’ve been seeing the doctors, been getting the treatments, they can have these people testify or have documentation written up on their behalf confirming these things, they could even have family members sharing their journey, etc. so that it’s understood that they are really wanting to be there because it’s the right place & safest place for them. It’s not the perfect solution, and it may seem like an unfair burden right now, but, at this time, I think it might be the best way to go about it. Because the lowlifes that are trying to lie their way into this are just NOT going to put in all that effort to seek out doctors & therapists & put medicine in their bodies & do this for months or years. It’s the easiest way to weed these psychos out. Chris, amazing responses, all around. You continue to prove that you’re just a good guy. I wish more people had your perspectives, and could just be more kind to people & let people just be & live their lives & stop spreading so much hate. The only people hurting anyone are the people who are constantly trying tear others down who are just trying to live their lives like everyone else. Stop targeting & bullying people & bringing negative energy into the world everyday - THAT’S where the hurt comes from. The Antipathy Party.
From a report done on the sexual violence inside prisons: “Prevalence rates were highest for female inmates, with 21.2% (212 per 1,000) reporting an incident of some type of inmate-on-inmate sexual victimization in the previous 6 months. This rate was four and a half times higher than that estimated for male inmates (4.3%). Incidents of abusive sexual contact contributed most of the difference in inmate-on-inmate prevalence rates by gender. Female inmates were roughly six times more likely to report an incident of abusive sexual contact than their male counterparts (20.1 vs. 3.5%), while only being twice as likely to report an incident of a nonconsensual sex act (3.2 vs. 1.5%, respectively). There were no statistically significant differences between males and females in rates of experiencing staff-on-inmate sexual violence. While female inmates were more likely to be sexually victimized by other inmates than by staff (21.2 vs. 7.6%), male inmates were more likely to report an incident of sexual victimization perpetrated by staff (7.6 vs. 4.3%).”
PS: that Amazon commercial featured a YOUNG GIRL. It’s incredibly weird to see adults, especially a bunch of grown women on this video commenting negative things about this commercial & this young girl & the message that she could possibly DARE to embrace herself and her growing & changing body. The majority of young girls have had to deal with some manner of facial hair as they go through puberty, some have really struggled with it a lot more because of genetics and were/are bullied terribly because of it. So, they could be terribly self-conscious about it their entire youth, maybe their whole lives, but especially the younger years which can be traumatic & could be constantly obsessing over their looks & trying to find difficult ways to get rid of it or cover it, some ways which may actually make it grow back worse, thicker, darker…OR, you could help them embrace their growing, changing bodies, tell them to do & be who they are & not care what others think, help them be an individual, encourage them to look to others who didn’t follow what society said was acceptable (what the commercial was alluding to), and inspire your kid to be their own person. It’s incredibly weird to find anything negative about a commercial encouraging a teenager to embrace how she naturally looks. A LOT of pre-teens/young teens are literally in that girl’s situation. It makes me so sad to KNOW that the moms in these comments are out there telling their daughters they need to get rid of their hair ASAP or else they’re freaks, basically. That’s what you’re telling them. You’re reacting like you think teenage girls are disgusting for going through puberty & having naturally growing hair. Naturally. growing. hair. It’s not for everyone, as an adult, but it’s weird to judge ANYONE for choosing not to shave their bodies of its natural protection for vanity’s sake (yes, Heather, ask any doctor; shaving your armpits & genital area exposes us to all kinds of bacteria, that’s fact). Judging teenagers is just gross.
@@PetesSake217 appreciate that you even took the time to read it. I’m sure someone will be mad that I took offense, but, honestly, the reaction I had to both the “women can’t rape” & the Amazon teen commercial comment was like physical to me. Like, WHAAAT? I like you people, you are educated, that did not just come out of your mouth. We all know women can rape. We know of many high-profile abuse cases involving older women and young men, in fact, I’m pretty sure at some point Heather mentioned the Mary Kay case (the teacher-student case) for some reason, & that was a form of rape, we all know there’s multiple ways of penetration…like, there was just ZERO thought given to any of that & then she just kind of waved it all away like, yeah whatever women could hurt anyone, it was very weird. I’m not going to go into much detail, but I’ll just say that I’m a 34 yo woman who has been very sick w/a rare autoimmune disease & crazy, rare complications since I was 25, and have spent too much of my life these past 9 years in the hospital or nursing/rehabilitation facilities recovering from emergency surgeries, and I have met/been in recovery with a lot of interesting people over that time. People like to talk to me; I always have a big chair next to my hospital beds, and everyone from patients to parents of other patients to random nursing staff (mine & not mine) often stop by at all hours when I’m inpatient to talk, sometimes small talk, but often we get into really deep stuff. I have roomed twice with two different women who spent time in different women’s prisons; one when younger, one who was a year out & sober, and who had also had a previous stay years earlier. I’m not going to go into what happened to them, but it was really awful. Like, had me up looking into research & statistics because I didn’t realize how bad shit really was in there. Between the inmate-on-inmate sexual assault & just plain violence & the staff-on-inmate SA & violence, there really is no safe place to go in so many of these prisons. The few things that these women come in with they usually either have stolen or have to give up as protection within the second day. The young woman that was a year sober had spent most of her life in foster care, her own abusive foster parent used to make her steal stuff to help him make $$ & that’s how she got busted the first few times…anyway, after the awful experience that last time, she got herself cleaned up, she said she’d never go back, she got herself a good job, but then she started getting sick, long story-short, turns out a huge infection had begun where an old injury had happened from a previous assault at the last women’s prison she was at, she’d been having issues off & on since that injury happened, now she back in the hospital with a massive infection. So, that’s how I met her. Last I saw her, she was healing up pretty good from her surgery, and we had been talking off & on that whole prior week about how her first few weeks were going with the new support group she was helping run for survivors of abuse in the prison system. She was telling me about how initially it was set up for women who were survivors of abuse within the system in general, at first, and that ranged a lot, but in getting to talk with more & more people, they were now considering creating a splinter, for survivors of physical abuse, because there seemed to be so many affected. This was just for the 2 women’s prisons in that area. Anyway. Just trying to say, in dismissing women as predators of other women, you’re erasing a lot of women’s stories, a LOT of women’s trauma. Please, do NOT do that in attempting to paint all trans men as potential predators. Because, soo sadly, that’s what was happening here.🙄🙄🤦🏻♀️🤦🏻♀️ I generally like & appreciate Heather, like I said, it’s feeling like a lot of Kelly vibes are leeching out of her recently, though & it’s been keeping me away a bit, so I’m glad Chris was here to balance that out…that being said, I think what Heather was actually going for was more of what I was saying in my original comment, that there are people LYING about transitioning who are trying to con the system & so a better system needs to be put in place to verify these things, not that actual trans men that are transitioning are all rapists or are all potential rapists, I hope she just didn’t know how to properly articulate her thoughts & words were just tumbling out of her mouth that didn’t sound good, because she sounded ignorant AF during that rant. Or if I’m wrong and she DID mean that, YIKES. Bye. If they are nonviolent offenders?? Do these people that believe this really think just being around a bunch of women creates a rapist?? That’s not how things work?🤦🏻♀️😣🤦🏻♀️ Also, we’re making fun of empowered teenagers having a tough time going through puberty now? What? The mother of one of my best friends in middle school would have died for that commercial for her at the time! Can we not all really put ourselves back at that time, how miserable & uncomfortable everything felt, & even if you had a lot of friends, it could still be so lonely, and, whether we like it or not, advertising is HUGE & IMPORTANT to teenagers - that is the key demographic, because nobody pays attention more. If some young, growing girls out there struggling with facial hair see that commercial while they’re by themselves in their room & they feel freaking SEEN, even if that’s all it is, they will still probably try to get rid of the hair y’all, don’t panic, but maybe it lets them know it’s not uncommon, and other girls are out there struggling with the same thing. Or maybe a couple of baller little girls DO say, ‘ya know what, I’m good, I’m gonna spend my time reading a book this morning instead of trying to fight this hair off my face.’ Good on them. Who cares? It makes no difference to you, its not your kid. If it were your kid…well, I’d hope you’d have a more empathetic response than the ones I’ve seen thus far. I hope the kids are less judgmental than their parents are, for their own children’s sake. Thankfully, I’m pretty sure we’re on our way toward that.
@Caitlin Halloran I was upset listening to this episode, too. There are just a couple of things I want to point out. Prisons already have criteria in place to make sure a person is not lying about being transgender. Also, most transgender women are still put in men's prison when they shouldn't be. This leads to even more violence against them. Have cis men lied and pretended to be transitioning just so they could end up in a women's prison? I'm sure. But when you think about the small percentage of trans people and how easy it is to tell if someone is faking, this really isn't something that requires outrage. It's easy enough to have rules in place that keep everyone safe. Heather bringing it up only added to the fear, hate, and misinformation against a minority group of people who are already at high risk of violence. Transgender people are 10 times more likely to be sexually assaulted in prison than cis inmates. They are often denied medication and abused in other ways as well. If Heather is truly worried about women in prison, I would love to see her advocate for them and their rights. The mistreatment and sexual assault they experience is horrible. As the women you met show, the abuse that goes on leads to long lasting trauma. How are they supposed to recover and contribute to society after that? Prison reform is badly needed and Heather could use her platform to help. Sadly, I think it was just a transphobic talking point she heard, most likely from Kelly Dodd. I also agree about the commercial. I think it's a fun and empowering message for young people. It's strange for adults to be commenting negatively about it.
its not a huge discussion. If you have xy chromosome you go to the mens prison. Period! Geez. And if the prisoner doesn't like it he shouldn't have done the crime.
Kindness only to Britney. She gets a pass for the rest of her existence. What she suffered through is a horror show of biblical proportions that no commentator on this podcast can possibly comprehend. Love you pair though.
It’s going to take some serious therapy for the rest of her life, I believe, to get her emotionally & mentally healthy & stable again. And, sadly, I don’t think she’s currently getting that. I wish people would just leave her alone & stop commenting on anything involving her, it’s sickening to me at this point, and cruel. She’s clearly unwell, and I think it’s vile to be commenting on her mental health struggles in real time. Please stop.
@@compedious591 please explain the thought process behind your reply to my comment….I’d love to hear it. Chris is right in his response to Heather…trans people are not replacing anyone and for her to say that is totally ridiculous.
Chris wrong on two things: Megan Markle (past conversations) and Bio males who think they're women/girls playing sport. Even if it's an outlier case it does negatively impact the women who worked their whole lives to compete. Let's see what happens if/when ur little girl grows up and is confronted by this...then you'll care. I agree with Heather's take. Women are much more of aware about what is happening here than men.
Thanks Heather for speaking about women and especially women athletes. I don’t begrudge anyones choices but it does feel like women are being erased and we are made to feel bad for feeling this way.
There was an Italian Actress from 1950s, Anna Managni, had a mustache and underarm hair; allegedly Marlon Brando in the movie was playing her lover, and complained about the stache and underarm hair
Hate having my gender appropriated and my femininity trolled. Why is it always my rights, my toilets, my sport that I now have to share with men? It is really a new men’s world!
These trans issues are so minute. The reason it seems like a widespread issue is because that’s what the media (like Tucker Carlson) choose to focus on. They know it will bring in views from both sides of the isle. It whips folks up into a frenzy.
On the Dalai Lama comment, that is not a sign of respect in the Tibetan culture. The Tibetan people stick their tongue out in respect or in a sign of approval. There is no sucking, touching any of that stuff. They stick their tongue out. No touching. if this was nothing wrong, why would he be apologizing to world leaders right now.
I love these two. Chris seems like such a down to earth, good guy. I would love to see these two live. Thank you again for the smiles Love from Gilbert AZ ❤️
the psychic Char was in the show, if you remember 20 years ago she predicted Ripa was pregnant with a girl, that daughter appeared on the show with Char earlier this week
Heather the Amazon commercial disturbed me so much I gagged when I watched it ! Now when it comes on I turn the channel !!! Ugh Also agree 100 percent on your take on the female athletes unfairly competing against these men transitioning to women jeez it’s just not fair !!!
I have a huge problem with people not cleaning up after their children! It is your responsibility! I’ve never been a waitress or flight attendant but have always cleaned up after my children if they made a mess.
Oof this was a doozie. I appreciate that Heather and Franjola were able to state their opinions about trans issues without being transphobic. I definitely don’t see their words coming from a place of hate.
Same!!! He's based as they say. While I love and appreciate him he's just saying what I'd expect from everyone who isn't a right wing weirdo but it's just not the case :(

Loved that Chris put some opposing views to Heather bc I feel like anyone else would’ve just agreed with her and been too afraid to correct her/speak out. It’s important to do research on both sides of a topic not just look for things that support your fears. I def don’t agree with Heather on a lot of conservative issues but love hearing a rational discussion
And yet she hasn’t said a word about reproductive rights which impact ALL women, and in some cases is a matter of life and death. But, you’re right, the focus should be on trans women in sports, all 5 of them. 🙄
What is so great about heather and Chris is that they are actually old good friends. When they did not totally agree about the trans-thing I did not bother because they have that bond that they can disagree and still be friends. They are not just "yes-anding" each other and I love that
A Sarah and a Chris episode in the same week. We're not worthy!
they are the best!
I know!!!!!!
Agree 100. Appreciate Heather speaking the truth. Just because you see this issue and speak about it does not mean you hate or are phobic of anyone.
I love you so much Heather for speaking the truth
@@chellebelle3538 Yes, these are definitely issues that have to be addressed and they are being talked about, not by you or me or Heather McDonald, but by delegates of the IOC and other sports establishments. It's interesting, however, that you only mentioned trans women but not trans men; because if, for example, you decide that trans women cannot compete in women's sports (because of their "definite advantage" of being born as male), does that mean that trans men CAN compete in women's sports because they have not been given that advantage?
👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽
Love your discussion on the Trans issue with women! More people need to talk about it and not be scared of being canceled because you have an opposing opinion. Go heather and chris!
Heather- it’s sad that you had to preface your statement with “this is scary”. We should be able to voice our opinion’s without the fear of backlash. If people don’t speak up because they’re too afraid, the sanity that’s left in the world will dissipate - never to return.

I am not shitting you. When you two are together, it's the best!! Your friendship is what makes this so special.
I'm gay and I agree with you with this trans craziness, I'm with women on this, in fact even trans people are against this. This has crossed the line.

With absolutely terrible takes on womens issues.
I wish people were as concerned about the women who are brutalized or murdered by their male partners on a regular basis as they are by these hypotheticals involving the trans community. Thanks for the perspective of reality, Chris!
Or by the children harmed by the actual men in dresses- religious figures.
@@kimandersenjohnson2324 for real the comments here are so sad
Wow very insightful! Agree!
@John Burke I took Kat's comment as defending the trans community and referring to the hypothetical transphobic talking points Heather brought up.
I think this was hands down the BEST Heather & Chris episode ever!! Loved every second, belly laughed so many times x

In regard to the bathroom discussion and the concept of “erasing women”:
Standing up for trans rights and equality is not the issue that is seemingly “erasing” women.

The Amazon commercial is just weird ! Makes me not buy anything from Amazon
Woop-woop, it 's Chris and Heather back together.

Many years ago, when Kelly and Mark’s kids were small, they literally ran into me, playing in Citarella’s Deli out here in Bridgehampton, NY on Island Ny where I lived. The kids were having fun and I smiled up at Kelly as she came to corral them and Mark was close by. She gave me a look as if I had annoyed her, right after I told her how cute her kids were, took the kids and walked away from me without a word.
Mark was right behind her and said hi how are you and was very cordial. He noticed her reaction to me and looked embarrassed.
She was cold as a stone.
Maybe she was tired, sick, annoyed at someone else, etc. idk, but if you can’t cough up a kind smile or say hello to a potential

Entertainment loosely when speaking of Kelly. Lol
Even though I was working and never watched her show, occasionally I caught it and I was never impressed.
She thinks she’s so funny and her exaggerated enthusiasm and bouncing up and down is fun to watch, no it’s not and it’s ridiculous at her age. And she can’t take her eyes off herself as she looks over at the monitor all throughout the show as I remember. Ugh.

All Kelly and Mark’s kids are out of high school - two are in college and one has graduated college.
From a report done on the sexual violence inside prisons:
“Prevalence rates were highest for female inmates, with 21.2% (212 per 1,000) reporting an incident of some type of inmate-on-inmate sexual victimization in the previous 6 months.
Caitlin, thank you for saying all of this. I was planning to but haven't had a chance. You did an amazing job hitting the important points. 👏 👏👏👏
Because, soo sadly, that’s what was happening here.🙄🙄🤦🏻♀️🤦🏻♀️
I generally like & appreciate Heather, like I said, it’s feeling like a lot of Kelly vibes are leeching out of her recently, though & it’s been keeping me away a bit, so I’m glad Chris was here to balance that out…that being said, I think what Heather was actually going for was more of what I was saying in my original comment, that there are people LYING about transitioning who are trying to con the system & so a better system needs to be put in place to verify these things, not that actual trans men that are transitioning are all rapists or are all potential rapists, I hope she just didn’t know how to properly articulate her thoughts & words were just tumbling out of her mouth that didn’t sound good, because she sounded ignorant AF during that rant. Or if I’m wrong and she DID mean that, YIKES. Bye. If they are nonviolent offenders?? Do these people that believe this really think just being around a bunch of women creates a rapist?? That’s not how things work?🤦🏻♀️😣🤦🏻♀️
Also, we’re making fun of empowered teenagers having a tough time going through puberty now?
Oh boy , this was really a fun episode on so many levels. Chris speaks with a realistic point of view.
yeah he's a great guest!
😂😂
WE LOVE CHRIS!! YOU TWO HAVE SUCH GOOD CHEMISTRY. LOVE YOU BOTH TO PIECES
I love watching you two together, great chemistry 👍👏
Watching this at the moment and some very funny moments so far. Thank you both. Great chemistry and great stories. 😂😂😂
Im happy you both decided to talk about that issue.
Thank you Chris for being a completely reasonable person
Grow up
@@compedious591 please explain the thought process behind your reply to my comment….I’d love to hear it. Chris is right in his response to Heather…trans people are not replacing anyone and for her to say that is totally ridiculous.
@@hilaryhoward8918 not replacing anyone with woman of the year? Female athletes? Women becoming ‘cis’ or ‘birthing parents’ - complete insanity
@@hilaryhoward8918 it’s interesting that you side with the man’s opinion on womanhood instead of the woman
@@compedious591 yep, the man doesn't care about women's spaces being invaded. Shocker.
Omg I literlt just came here from 10 to life. I absolutely just love you in that episode. What a preference!
Awesome episode! ❤😂 and yes! Wild times we’re living in.
Thanks Heather for speaking about women and especially women athletes. I don’t begrudge anyones choices but it does feel like women are being erased and we are made to feel bad for feeling this way.
Women are not being erased. If anything we are being celebrated.
@@susanelizabeth30 men doing “womanface” is not celebrating woman 😂

There was an Italian Actress from 1950s, Anna Managni, had a mustache and underarm hair; allegedly Marlon Brando in the movie was playing her lover, and complained about the stache and underarm hair
Hate having my gender appropriated and my femininity trolled. Why is it always my rights, my toilets, my sport that I now have to share with men? It is really a new men’s world!
My husband and I get to see Chris in Omaha in May! We are so excited!!! Thank you to Heather or I may never have known who he was.
These trans issues are so minute. The reason it seems like a widespread issue is because that’s what the media (like Tucker Carlson) choose to focus on. They know it will bring in views from both sides of the isle. It whips folks up into a frenzy.
The same thing was happening in the early and mid 2000’s with gay issues. It’s just been repurposed now
@@Jackhreedfunny all the things they said the gay rights movement would lead to it led to😂
Another good one. Always love a Chris episode!!
Preach Heather, not only the Juicy Scooper, now a relationship guru!
Great show! Love Chris always, I was cracking up.
Thank you again for the smiles
Love from Gilbert AZ ❤️
Chris being the voice of reason 😊
We are driving to the San Diego show and I can't wait!! Front row!
Flight attendants aren’t maids or cleaning crew. Ugh.
the psychic Char was in the show, if you remember 20 years ago she predicted Ripa was pregnant with a girl, that daughter appeared on the show with Char earlier this week
Heather and Chris are GOLD!!!!😂 I adore them.
Oof this was a doozie. I appreciate that Heather and Franjola were able to state their opinions about trans issues without being transphobic. I definitely don’t see their words coming from a place of hate.
It's not transphobic to think trans are Looney Tunes
@@rachelsill79 Blah blah blah, vanilla troll.
The reason for blood testing prior to marriage was to check for syphilis and other transmitted disease.
I thought it was to see if you were related too. It must’ve been the story back in the day. 🤔
Blood testing to get married started in the 1930’s, long before you could tell if two people were related through DNA testing.
It’s actually to test the blood types, to see if one parent has negative blood and one positive…
@@Pearlmoon024 You are actually wrong. I have seen nothing that supports your statement. I worked for 6 doctors who said it was for disease.
Heather needs to stop hanging out with Kelly Dodd.
💯
Chris really impressed me this episode, I’m grateful for his thoughtful opinions.

Chris is on! It's going to be a fabulous day. He is my favorite!!
Chris provided some really great perspective, thank you!
Heather thank you for speaking up regarding women’s rights! ❤ you!!!!
And yet she hasn’t said a word about reproductive rights which impact ALL women, and in some cases is a matter of life and death. But, you’re right, the focus should be on trans women in sports, all 5 of them. 🙄
Great episode!! Chris is fantastic!
Good morning, Juicy Scoopers! 💫
Love how you scoop but not GOSSIP !!! You’re funny real but you keep it classy … thnx for the great laughs.
You are so right regarding the erasion of womanhood. I feel it in aspect of life. Good for you for speaking out about in this scary times.
