How would that be possible? If bosmer are capable of magic that can change them to altmer, wouldn't the Altmer be more than capable of magic that can change them to chimer? Would it be the work of a daedric prince like Azura? Can daedric princes restore ancestry rather than distort it, like the orsimer?
@@jaktam8765Yep, he altered himself with the Razor, turning himself quasi-dragonborn; making it possible for him to wear the Amulet of Kings. He also idolized the Ayleids, and wanted to make himself Ayleid; Altmer and Ayleids look the same basically, so it's hard to tell, but his intention was to turn himself into an Ayleid.
Ok when I read “The Refugees” I wondered if this was an actual event within TES. I was almost terrified of how much of a threat the Usurper sounded. Thanks for clearing things up.
Yeah I watched another lore video about this guy and it almost feels like the story kind of glosses over the fact that he had this huge undead army. They make a big deal about Mannimarco being this great necromancer but this guy is basically the Night King from game of thrones lmao.
It always boggles my mind to think that so many of the countries in this world do not keep a small force mobilised at all times in case of an invasion.
Think about it though, even a small force must cost a shit ton to keep them armoured up and equipped. The closest they get is city guard, which is usually substantial. I imagine it would work the same way it worked IRL where local lords would just hire mercenary companies.
Even if they had an expenditionairy force it would be extremely hard to mobilise. The fact they’d have to get from one city to another would take long enough tbh
They’re rich provinces is what I’m thinking, these places are major money houses, and the real world did maintain troops and the citizenry were usually taught a basic understanding of how to fight so that if needed, there was an army ready within a week. These places seem to take months to mobilise.
@@connorbarton4308 yeah but even then, if you look at real world examples, most colonies would have a defence force, even if it was small. Largely for policing, but also to slow an enemy while larger forces can be mustered.
Sorry for the short vid, the thumbnail is an artwork not a canon image! Other than that, enjoy
Imperial Knowledge Don't apologise for that. Any of your content is brilliant in my eyes!
Imperial Knowledge Amazing as always, my friend. :)
That nederlands accent is making me crazy. Uuu knooo daaat?
+Tiger Cat Oke, nuttige informatie
Little late but Mankar Camoran is indeed from the same Camoran usurper bloodline he turned himself into a high elf using magic
I heard that Mankar Camoran turned himself into a high elf so that he could use magicka more effectively

I wish the ES lore had more powerful necromancers like this and Mannimarco.
Just goes to show how powerful they are

like Potema?
you know if you'd have to live in that world you probably wouldn't wish for more army-raising-necromancers to roam about.
If he didn't need a deal with a daedra to get a daedric army, then now I wonder how large-scale summoning of the daedra works. I truly do not know.
Many bits of lore mention the Camoran usurper, thanks for explaining it!
Nice as always
Great video as always
6:14 Mankar Camormumm?
When Bethesda Misses a Main quest line.
Time for some ursurping!
At the time of oblivion there’s talk of elves who are boycotting imperial goods, could the oblivion mankar be a thalmor spy?

I think they’d come to rely on the empire by then

Or maybe they just happened to have the same name.... -_-
+Blackwindzero It is stated that he is his son
Thanks for pointing this out, I didn't know.
Had to look it up.
What kind of madman would name their kid after an Evil necromancer? That's like calling your Kid Adolf.
