Are you in? I am! 65-hour fast with water, black coffee, unsweetened tea, and zero-calorie drinks starting at 11pm tonight and pushing until Saturday 4pm.
I am so in!! I am currently doing a 96 hour fast and currently 47 hours in. My fast ends at 8:40pm Friday, but I will push it to Saturday at 4pm ❤ I also will continue the rolling hour fast with you until end of the month! This works for me!!
Hi Jerome!! I'm in, too😊 I'd planned to do a modified (500 calorie meal) fast tomorrow, Thursday, but cravings were getting the best of me. I just "happened" to see your video with this challenge. The Lord does indeed work in mysterious ways!! Lol lol I've updated and set my timer for 65hrs. My last meal today, Wednesday, was at 4:00pm so I've got a couple hrs under my belt already. My plan is water, tea and a 500calorie meal each day until I've hit 65hrs. -- I just want to thank you for giving us "permission" to do and get through this challenge as best we can. So many other fasting advocates "poo-poo" modified fasts, juice fasts, etc. I greatly appreciate that you just encourage us to FAST...whatever that may look like. Blessings and hugs to you and my fellow challenge enthusiasts!!🎉 See you all on Saturday!!❤
I was doing ADF, but just today thinking abt extend it. Today I'm 2 weeks consistent already, is a lot for ME. your videos abt consistency are my go to. I watch them on repeat when needed. Thank you so much Jerome❤ Ooh I use to start stop start stop. Now I know why... was starting to big. Have done 7 days to cleanse a couple of times now. So fasting is simple for me, but not so easy😂
I’m in! I’ve been rolling 48s and just had my meal about an hour and a half ago. I’ve noticed now that I’m in the groove that energy levels are thru the roof! Time to stretch those 48s out! My mother is gonna attempt her first 48 as well! Let’s go! 💪
I’m on 45hrs of my 48! I initially wanted to do 36 but said why not go for 12 more 😮💨. My feeding window is coming up and I really could keep going 🙏🏾 also taking my last bite by 11pm tonight so I’ll participate with you and see how this 65 hours go!!
I just finished a 140 hour fast, so I think I'm good lol. I'm gonna be trying to hit 20 hour fasts every day for the rest of this week though. Good luck to everyone else doing this challenge!
I am in with you friend. I have been watching you for 3 years and I have seen GREAT results for you with fasting. I will see you Saturday. I am 68years old and have been fasting every other day, but not good results. I can do THIS!!!!!!!
Oh boy, oh boy, oh boy! Me, me, me, I'm in!! 😃🤩 Been doing ADF since Jan 1st, i just closed my eating window at 7pm so this is perfect timing! Let's do this!!
I am in! I just completed a 48hr fast 2 days ago. I am ready to do a 72HR fast this evening at 7pm hehehe. I will drink one cup of green juice a day though.
I started fasted after eating Chinese last night in an emotional binge prompted from an argument, so emotional eating, a habit im really trying to overcome., I'll do this 65 hour fast by consuming herbal teas and spirulina.
"Just imagine what it would be like if you did this for the rest of the entire year... if you didn't give up... if you did things on an imperfectly consistent way..." This is my quote for this year!! I'm so here for this!! ...Imperfect consistency... 😊 Thank you for the motivation!❤ I'm on hour 12 of a 132-hour fast. After that, I'm doing rolling 36-48 hr fasts for the rest of the year. We got this!
@1984resistant nice👏👏👏 You did that🎯 Congratulations🤩 I'm still going cause I did have omad thursday night 🙃. Wasn't planned, but life happens. Soooo like Jerome says...better be consistent then trying to be perfect. So I will break the fast at noon tomorow reaching 65 hours.
Aww good luck to everyone doing this! By chance, Just completed a 66 myself, was aiming for 72 but it’s ok. My last fast of the month will be a 24 after Sunday afternoon. Blessings all! 🙌🎉 let’s keep at it!
Just went through some of your old videos looking for a Patreon, because I thought you had one (was I wrong?) And I can't get over how much your voice changed once you got to a certain weight (about 7-8 months ago.) Pretty cool. I'll jump on this fast. I had nothing the day before yesterday. One 300 calorie burger yesterday at 7pm. I drink tea with Monk fruit/allulose sweetener, that's it. 0 calories and it feels like I'm feasting, plus the allulose keeps my blood sugar down. The Monk fruit/allulose is thick like sugar and coats my stomach. Totally feels like I'm cheating, but I'm not! I've lost 10 lbs since the holidays... just loosely fasting. No pressure. Here we go!
Hi Jerome! I'm in! I've been struggling with life due to alot of massive changes in my life, but I've been working on fasting and walking consistently since the 1st. Can I go back and use my spreadsheet still? Thanks for being an example of consistency for all of us.
Hi Jerome! Just a couple of comments: Are you shooting your videos in log? Your colors look really great in this video. Second, what is a fasting clock? Where can I buy one? Keep up the inspirational videos! I think I’m gonna try a 65 hour fast starting tonight and ending on Saturday. thanks for the challenge😊
I'm currently (and somewhat unplanned) at 42 hrs of a black coffee and hot tea (with wee itty bit amounts of allulose) fast, as well as a goal to reset my gut biome. *very lengthy background* A bit over 15 months ago, I was discharged from the surgical ward, which happened after more than a year of increasingly bad GI issues. Those GI issues ultimately ended up in 3 ER trips within a week, 2 admissions to the surgical ward, with a total stay of almost a month (I was discharged late on a Fri, the 3rd ER visit was early the following Mon and ended with me being readmitted to the surgical ward; so I was only "out" for a bit over 48 hours between the two surgical stays). Between the 2 surgical stays, I had NG tubes for all but 3 or 4 days, had surgery, and was medically forced to fast for all but a few days (and about 1/2 of that, the fasting even precluded consuming water and ice; i.e. _nothing into my digestive system, at all!)_ Between the first hint of a problem and the 2nd time I was admited, I dropped from 219lbs to 125 lbs without any effort to diet or lose weight, and in fact, the last several months, I was actively trying to increase my caloric intake. Because of the medical fasting, my body weight was down to 95lbs the morning of surgery. *When I was finally discharged, I really didn't want to regain all the weight that I had lost, but after months of having little to **_absolutely NO_** appetite, during the first week on the surgical ward my appetite did start to kick in, and by the first week of my second stay, I started to get ravenous.* Unfortunately, since I was discharged, my appetite has been a complete and non-nonsensical nightmare. I've been through several "fruit phases" where I basically spent all my waking hours buying, preparing, and eating a whole lot of fruit (there was one point when I filled a grocery cart with nothing but fruit and polished all of it off in 3 days; i.e. a *_LOT_* of fruit). I've had several "salad" phases. I've had several "junk food" phases. I've had several "burgers & hot dogs" phases. I've had several "carbs & nuts, _gimme __*_ALL_*_ the carbs and nuts now!"_ phases. And I've had several "I'm not super hungry, maybe if I fast I can get control of my appetite" phases. After the last inadvertent fasting phase, I had been trying really hard to focus on filling up with protein, fiber, and fats, but about a week ago, I was overtaken by yet another "carbs & nuts, _gimme _*_ALL_*_ the carbs and nuts now!"_ phase. After a relatively small binge of cheese toast Monday night, I went to sleep, and have been in yet another "I'm not super hungry, maybe if I fast I can get control of my appetite" phase since waking up yesterday. In the year before the surgical ward, it was actually kind of nice not to be obsessed with food. I was able to grocery shop once or twice a month, and didn't get a lot, so it was cheap, and -other than all the GI issues (which I actually do still have a lot of, they just aren't quite as extreme as they were leading up to the surgical ward)- _losing so much weight without being hungry was much more pleasant than thinking about food all the time, and having such crazy and disparate craving phases._ I got rid of my scale several months ago, so I don't know how much I've put on since I was discharged, but I know my belt is a notch past where I'd like it to be, and too snug even at that setting, and I definitely have love handles again. I just really wish that it didn't feel like food and body weight (or more specifically body fat) had taken over so many of my waking hours. I really miss those days of not even thinking about food _at all_ (granted, I don't miss the corresponding GI issues). While I had obviously gained a lot of weight before all this, I didn't feel like food and body weight were massive energy, and time, and money sinks, and at this point, that's literally all they feel like to me. *current fast* At this point, I'm also targeting Saturday afternoon to break this fast. I'm planning to break it around lunchtime with either some mushroom, spinach, & miso broth or some blackberries, followed by a mid-afternoon snack of some scrambled eggs with veggies, and ending with a dinner of some chicken tikka masala -all with the goal to minimize my current gut biome and slowly and intentionally restart it with some gut bugs that actually want healthy food. Anyway, I'm just venting into the wind. 🍀*Best wishes to all my fellow fasters!* 🍀
Sorry. Many experienced fasters can jump in and out of fasting without necessarily planning. But for others, especially inexperienced fasters, prepping before and having a plan for after is essential.
Agreed. If you're inexperienced and want to participate, I'd encourage you to try doing 16:8 or 20:4 fasts (i.e. fast for 16 or 20 hours each day, and only eat during the remaining 8 or 4 hour window) through Saturday, then eat normally until the next "group" fast. Then try to increase your fasting periods during that next "group" fast.
@@im.empimp That is good advice. I'd add that whether experienced or not, eating well (whole foods, plenty of fat) is important especially leading up to the fast. A lot of people make it so much harder on themselves by not doing that. I'm quite experienced. My comment was a general comment. Unfortunately, I already fast too often and wish everyone in the challenge well.
No you didn't fail...😊 you still went 22 hours without eating..that's a win as far as I am concerned...where I could spend every second hour eating ....
@ 1:55 Jerome explicitely states, "... whether that's a water fast or a water fast with electrolytes or a water fast with black coffee or black coffee and unsweetened tea or *_even a Diet Coke_* or a zero calorie drink put yourself on the clock and hold yourself accountable" He then goes on to state, "This is your chance to do something imperfectly consistent don't worry so much about oh this isn't clean this is cheating this is dirty whatever. If your goal right now is to just lose weight on the scale because it will improve your health and wellness by all means do it there is no shame, no guilt, you shouldn't feel any of that." Heck, just rewatch this video (and frankly many of his more recent videos), he's all about "imperfect consistency".
I'm obviously not Jerome. I just feel the need to point out that you don't _need_ a fasting timer. Log, with pen and paper, or in a digital spreadsheet, etc. what time you start and stop fasting.
Are you in? I am! 65-hour fast with water, black coffee, unsweetened tea, and zero-calorie drinks starting at 11pm tonight and pushing until Saturday 4pm.

Hey Jerome, I'm doing a 48 hr. I'll attempt 65 after I master 48's.
I'm currently (and somewhat unplanned) at 42 hrs of a black coffee and hot tea (with wee itty bit amounts of allulose) fast, as well as a goal to reset my gut biome.
*very lengthy background*
A bit over 15 months ago, I was discharged from the surgical ward, which happened after more than a year of increasingly bad GI issues. Unfortunately, since I was discharged, my appetite has been a complete and non-nonsensical nightmare.

I've had several "salad" phases.
I've had several "junk food" phases.
I've had several "burgers & hot dogs" phases.
I've had several "carbs & nuts, _gimme __*_ALL_*_ the carbs and nuts now!"_ phases.

I am in
I’m In tonight after dinner
I’m in, today as I’m watching this is January 16.
I will do it as well! most of the time i do a 72 hour then eat for 2 days.
Daibtes reversal is fasting
any tips how to deal with the hunger before bed ?
I've just started a 72h fast.
See y'all on Sunday, peeps
I am doing water fast with unsweetened tea, and a little pink Himalayan salt in water. I'm in !
My eating window ends at 3 pm today and then I am going for it.
What do you think about dry fasting. I always find it easier a dry fast for the 1st day then water fasting the next day.
I agree. I don't get the electrolyte imbalance headache on day one if I dry fast 😊
What app does Jerome uses
Nooo it's not me Jerome😅
I'm doing great for a change now since 31st december
What fasting app are you using?!
Zero app.
I just started 65 h fast
Hey yo skippy123 out !!!!
I’m 80 hours in, was gonna do 7 days, but I think I’m gonna go 14. Snake juice, watermelon electrolytes, black coffee, mineral water with salt.
What app is good for keeping tract of your time fasted
Zero app. Down on your phone for free.
Failed at 22hrs. Damn, it wasn't worth it. Gonna restart now. 💪
No you didn't fail...😊 you still went 22 hours without eating..that's a win as far as I am concerned...where I could spend every second hour eating ....
In
started rolling 72 hrs 😂
Question: I don’t think I can fast without 1-2 cans of Diet Coke? Thoughts?
@ 1:55 Jerome explicitely states, "... whether that's a water fast or a water fast with electrolytes or a water fast with black coffee or black coffee and unsweetened tea or *_even a Diet Coke_* or a zero calorie drink put yourself on the clock and hold yourself accountable"
He then goes on to state, "This is your chance to do something imperfectly consistent don't worry so much about oh this isn't clean this is cheating this is dirty whatever. If your goal right now is to just lose weight on the scale because it will improve your health and wellness by all means do it there is no shame, no guilt, you shouldn't feel any of that."
Heck, just rewatch this video (and frankly many of his more recent videos), he's all about "imperfect consistency".
Linda, drink your Diet Coke, if you need to. All the best 💕
Jerome, which fasting timer do you use? Which would you recommend?
I'm obviously not Jerome.
I just feel the need to point out that you don't _need_ a fasting timer. Log, with pen and paper, or in a digital spreadsheet, etc. what time you start and stop fasting.
