Basantji, this is regarding blocking persons who are not adding any value to your you tube teachings and analysis. In pure terms I believe more than 95 per cent people love you for what you are, as we always awe struck by your personality. In this complex world, you are the oasis to many of us, we all wish you health and prosperity and we cannot afford losing you on you tube. By the way I also follow you on Twitter. Keep going as long as we are lucky.
Generally mutual fund expense ratio is below 1% for direct plans but in your smallcase charges are very high. If one invests around 50 lakh then overall charges comes below 1%. Anyone investing 10,20,30 lakhs should not consider your smallcases. They are ok for HNIs.
It is the same as asking that my bank does not charge any expense fees for FD or RD. Whereas MF ask approx .75% fees. I should only do FD.
You invest in MF because you know even after paying fees you will be making more money.
Mutual funds have 10000 crore plus AUM. And then they charge 1% of it. Which comes out to be more than 100 crores.
Also Mutual funds make average returns near the index returns.. their main motive is to just keep giving average returns and manage risk.
It's not correct to directly compare smallcase to mutual funds. As returns are not the same.
Even a 4-5% higher return can compound to lakhs in the long term.
Why is someone even concerned about expenses or fees. I don't understand.. you should be concerned about returns.
I am investing in MFs for 6 years but never looked at expense or fees. All I care about is my returns. If a mutual fund is giving better return, than I am happy to pay that extra .3-.5% in mutual fund.
Similarly, if you think smallcase is making you more money than mutual fund than look at your return why fees even matters. If returns are not much more, then better go for mutual funds or whatever you like.
I have started investing directly. And taken out most of my money from MF. I watch this channel for education and learning.
Also to answer your second part of question, yes BM smallcase is not for small investors. BM sir has himself denied small investors to not invest in his smallcase many times. He himself once said that people should invest 5 lakh minimum and then keep investing via SIP or other methods. He once even denied someone who was ready for 25k SIP.
