Dude, this is one of the funniest repair videos I’ve watched on TH-cam. Thanks for helping me with the Qashqai LBJ and for making me laugh so much. Please keep making these vids. All the best.

People like you sharing your time and knowledge are really generous. Thank you. I wish information like this had been so readily available in the 1980s when I started doing my own car maintenance, I spent so much time trying to match the Haynes manual descriptions to the parts of the car (which invariably didn't have my exact model) whilst freezing outdoors.
    Once again, thanks.

Hilarious! Good humour and the reality of the shit we learn along the way. I thought you were going to piss on it!

I thought about that tbh, but TH-cam would’ve flagged it as inappropriate content :)) lol.
In hindsight I don’t know what was I thinking?!?! WD-40 and fire?! Idiot. Shit happens in life lol. So glad you enjoyed it. Thanks

    Nice work !
Did this job a week ago on my nissan x-Trail
I found out the easiest way was to take out the arm and press the ball joint in and out with a socket in a hydraulic press.
It took about five tons to get the old one out 🙂

On a similar note, using the red straw, WD-40 also makes an excellent flamethrower.

A vice and socket is a good way of pushing tye ball joint out

Can't separate the ball joint from arm, no matter how big my hammer. Have just bought a ball joint press off Amazon. Suspicious your camera battery died before we could see the hammer successfully remove the old joint...

Doing this on the GFs Pulsar today (same platform/parts mostly), both sides boots destroyed, circlips have completely disappeared and broke my tools... soaking in some plus gas while I wait for a replacement puller off Amazon. I hate cars.

You cant seperate the ball joint , from the arm. Looks like you brought a new arm lol after the camera went off and back on again

    • @TheGarage2018

Yes I did buy a new arm, the ball joint was riveted on to the old arm and I didn’t fancy cutting the rivets off. The complete arm wasn’t that much more expensive.
