Withe the Easyonmade 22-28 splitter and box wedge it's easy to process big rounds. In this video I try to use some really big logs that have been passed over previously.
With the 572s teeth worn down, it still cuts like a dream. The new 562 mark ll is getting some nice reviews so far. Yes sir, just like that, you are doing amazing.
As always a pleasure to see you producing some great firewood. A video I always look forward to. We try not to waste any timber that we sell through our farm shop. Looking forward to seeing more. Regards to the family from across the pond
Dick, I appreciate anyone near my age that is still cutting firewood. You always put up useful videos. I used to be able to handle big stuff like that but now I have to leave them in the woods. If I had a log lift, I might try it and I would need a tractor. So basically, I just leave them alone. If it is white oak, it will be good, red oak doesn't last as long on the ground.
Good morning Dick, unfortunately those logs were too far gone but you did manage to find some to make another tote of some nice wood. Now to dispose of the rotten stuff. Ughh. We can’t always win. Cheers Woody !!!
hi there well i was feeling a bit old today and it got me thinking i havent seen a show from you in a while ,I checked i was still subed , but havent been coming up . good show best to all john
Ha! Feeling old and thought of me? I understand John lol. Life has been very busy on many fronts, but I plan to be up and running starting this week. Thanks for the concern!
Im jealous of all your equipment. I just bought a 2019 Ford F150 XL 4x4. I have 3 chainsaws. MS171 , MS250 & MS261 . I do not have a splitter, trailer , skid steer , tractor. Im 64 years old with Asthma and underweight. Im giving it my best shot.
Good video Dick it is so much easier now days all I used was a mall and a axe o by the way how is the saw mill coming along I may have missed the video? Anyway keep moving my friend
Hi Frank. This Eastonmade splitter is the only reason I can continue to produce firewood. It really eliminates most of the physical work. The sawmill is finally together. I’m having some problems with getting the blade to track right. Hopefully I’ll have a video in the next couple weeks.
I tried cutting green oak 40” dia, ripped it in quarter pieces and could hardly pick them up by hand. I’m pushing 60 and went through two tanks of gas in my chain saw. Didn’t even get a 1/3 cord. Didn’t go back. You need equipment that I don’t have for that 😱
@@oldguyfirewood 👍 I drove almost a 1/2 hour with my trailer to get this “free” wood. lol. It was an answer to a marketplace ad. No tractors or splitters. Just me, a chainsaw and a dump trailer. Live and learn :)
Glad to see Clifford in the woodyard making sure you are doing your job correctly and being safe. Keep moving Dick!!
Hello Obie. Got to keep moving!
There you are, great to see you again log splitter is a big help to you stay well in the shade 😎
Hi Digger! Hope you’re doing well my friend.
That went smooth as always and the boss was right there looking for that perfect piece ❤❤❤❤hello Clifford and you and Clifford stay safe my friend
Thanks John. Best boss I ever had haha!

Thanks Kenny. I’m really liking the 572xp for the bigger wood. For anything under 16” the 550xp is my favorite.

Hello Bob. Thanks for watching. I hate to waste any wood I get!

Hi James. Without the 22-28 splitter I wouldn’t be able to handle the big wood.

Hi Woody. Fortunately I can burn my scrap in a big burn pile every 3 months or so. Those logs will burn right up.
Awesome looking red oak firewood.
Thank you. The only negative is how long it takes to dry!
Hey Dick can’t beat the box wedge. Glad to see you are still out there producing at a high level. Looks like you have a good inventory so far.
Thanks Bill!
Great video!! Nice red oak!! Stay Hydrated and Have a Safe Day
Hi David. Thanks for watching. I appreciate you my friend!

@@oldguyfirewood good thing john
Hey Dick hope all is good . Good video today brother . Have a great day ..
Hi Jack. Thanks for watching. I hope to see you again at some point… maybe at Brad’s next year?
Good splitting 👍 Splitting dry oak is no joke but your splitter did it with ease 😊
Hi Lyle. The Eastonmade 22~28 will split anything I put on it!
Hey Dick , very nice IBC tote of split red oak . That Eastonmade is great .👍🏻🇺🇸🪵
Thanks Del. It’s the only reason I can keep going!

Thank you Anthony. Things have been really busy lately. I really appreciate you watching.
Awesome set up. I wish i had your money 🤑
Hi Steve. I wish I had the money you think I have! 😂😂
Looks like you have a nice supply of totes .l like them have 113 and would like some more
Hi John. The totes work really well for me. I need to pick up some more myself.
You have a lot of totes lined up in your woodyard Dick. You must have been busy with the new splitter. Have a great day!
Hi Jeff. The 22-28 Eastonmade really cranks it out! Hope you’re doing well. I enjoyed your coverage of the International Firewood Expo.
If it’s not straight grain “saw log” grade I lose BIG wood. #MoreWorkThanWorth
Hey Joe. Thanks for watching. I understand. The Ultra isn’t built to handle huge rounds. The 22-28 makes it worth while.
Looked line fun! Last week when I enquired about my 22-28 they said 2-3 weeks still so as of today I hope 1-2 weeks.
You will love the power Hayes. Did you get the conveyor?
@@oldguyfirewood I purchased a Wolf Ridge conveyor and it is waiting too!
@@hayesrutherford9415 I quickly found out that a conveyor is a “must have” to handle the output from a commercial splitter.
Good video Dick it is so much easier now days all I used was a mall and a axe o by the way how is the saw mill coming along I may have missed the video? Anyway keep moving my friend

Have the same issues with tree service wood. hate to waste it....
There’s a lot of wood in those big logs, and the Eastonmade 22-28 box wedge makes it much easier to process.

Thanks for watching Bob. You’re absolutely right. The Eastonmade 22-28 log lift and box wedge makes it manageable.

Hello Dick, had to resubscribe you. Crooked youtube. We always have a plan B and C😂👍🏼🪵🇺🇸
Hi Larry. Thanks for resubscribing. I’ve had to do that on a few channels. There’s no reason for TH-cam allowing that to happen.
