Excellent job, and excellent video. Also fab tip about getting those 2 replacement hoses. I'm doing the same job at the weekend and will get the hoses in advance as I expect to have the same problem. Thanks very much 👍

Some calipers don't have the little metal pipe to join the brake hose to the caliper. Instead, the flexible brake hose has a banjo coupling that goes directly into the caliper. In that case the job is a bit easier. But take care to ensure the banjo coupling is correctly aligned.

Had this same problem on my mk5 golf. Really important to change brake fluid every 2 years as recommended preventing moisture in the braking system which will hasten the corrosion on the brake lines.

By the look of those brake pads, I´m guessing the slider pins are probably in need of some tlc, definitely should of pulled those out and re-greased while you were in there ..

how did you fix the parking brake? did you have to adjust the piston? I changed the rear brakes and after that I don't have hand brakes because the piston doesn't come out enough and the parking brake handle has a lot of movement like yours

Do you not need some thread locker on the caliper nuts?

I budy that copper pipe is not just a dealer part u can get it from a half decent parts shop/motor factor they make it up for u but u have to bend it to shape I've done it a few times by hand.an price wise 4 pounds max yes!! Really. you thank me later 🙂

Those discs are shot. Should have replaced them while you had everything off. Cheap as chips for these cars. Those pads should go in easy, file the area not just wire brush.
