Thanks guys, great vid. I did the oil change last night in the garage while watching your video and that made it so easy! I'd read the manual and only got confused. Cheers!
Hi guys .. I had a question.. do you do this process with a bike on vertically or on their side stand? We should see the oil on the side stand or central stand? The manual doesn't say that. Tks guys
Is it possible to put a set of dirtwheels on the 701 SM ? Some people say no but i cant believe it. if 21"/ 18" is impossible, maybe someone can explain me why…? What if i would change the whole Suspensions front and rear??
Hey Dustin, so my dealer is telling me that Husqvarna is now telling them 1000 miles for first service/oil change... where can I find the right info?? also any chance you guys can do a video on proper breakin?
You would be better off avoiding contact cleaner. It's not good for the finish on the engine and is a good way to introduce contamination into your fresh oil. Clean the screens with soap and water and dry with compressed air. For the engine, A cycle cleaner like S100 for the oily parts followed by more soap and water.
WD40 has lubrication properties in it which normally leave an oily residue behind. It will probably work fine for this application but you're better off getting a specific contact cleaner.
@@rmatvmc thank you for your answer, i dont Know the exact translation in french but i order some brake cleaner. Is it the same thing that contact cleaner ? Thank you. Greetings from Switzerland. Axel
Yes, this is the same engine that Husqvarna uses in the Duke street bike. So they recommend full synthetic oil which also helps extend the service intervals. Pretty awesome though!
The price is pretty high by the time you do a full oil change because there is an oil filter service kit that includes o-rings and filters that you must get along with the oil. But you are right, when you're changing the oil every 6000 miles it's not too bad!
Great video, very clear camera. I usually pre oil my filters before installing
Thanks for the guide, I have a ‘23 701 Enduro so will definitely help when the time comes.

Excellent description, great filming !!
We appreciate it! 🙌 Glad you liked the video.
Thanks for the video!!!
More please with Husky 701!! 👍
It’s a great bike isn’t it ?
once again you guys save me to investigate how many ftlbs torq and what filters go where.
Perfect, thanks. Short and complete. Well done.
You're welcome! Glad the video helped.
Thanks for the very clear video!
Can you make video installing heated grips??
do the filter bolts by hand, not by torque. I managed to snap a bolt by following the manuals specs...
Too
Same
Wow… good advice, thx for posting
Very informative and quick video. Thanks. By the way did you make or purchase the oil dispensing funnel/hopper ?
Found the Motion Pro funnel on your web site.
wow, two oil filters and 2 screens. im impressed. over engineering is good in this case.
Andrey Kitsen the newer yamahas have a a oil screen
Over engineering you say? Well I'm glad they did that, because it does the job.
@@laurisvisockas4042 This engine is based on racing technology. Everything doubled up: 2 oil pumps, 2 oil filters, 2 oil screens, 2 ignition systems
what an awesome video, thankyou so much
Great video
Excellent service vid
Thanx guys😺
Who makes that funnel shown at the 3:42 mark?
Motion pro does. Here it is: www.rockymountainatvmc.com/p/1657/69707/Motion-Pro-Pro-Funnel

For draining it won't matter, but when you check the oil the bike needs to be held level and not on any stands. -Charles

In my manual it’s 1000km or 800 miles
Appreciate the video
Where can I get that oil filler?
Buy the 1L Motorex and they come with a handy filler neck.

Super video. I’m sure some of the so-called KTM unreliability issues are so
Ely due to idiots not maintaining them properly

Every 6,000 miles seems too long. Is that really ok?

@@rmatvmc Very awesome! Are the oil change kits really like $90? That's still great considering the long interval change...

@@rmatvmc what is the time interval if you don't put that many miles on the bike? manual says every year but does that apply to synthetic? thanks
CoachSteve4u what if I only put on 1000 miles per year? Change oil every 6 years ok? Thanks!
