    Wow. I'm a vascular surgeon and I had difficulty completing this repair. Granted I have been drinking. Thank you for the video.

    why remove the mother board? looks like all you have to do is remove the sim card reader and battery taptic engine and speaker to remove the charging ribbon

      I don’t know what I was thinking. You don’t need to remove the logic board

    • @repaironwheels
      @repaironwheels  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      It’s possible I was removing the board for another repair and forgot to edit that portion out. But you definitely don’t need to remove the board. You don’t even need to remove the battery. Just the sim reader Taptic Engine and loudspeaker

    I have an iPhone 11 that will not charge and the vibration engine does not work either will this repair fix both of these issues?

    • @repaironwheels
      @repaironwheels  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      It might be a coincidence but the Taptic Engine is connected to the charging port so it’s not unreasonable to thing the 2 are connected

      If the phone charges on the wireless charging pad but not regular through the port that’s an indicator that the port may need to be replaced

    I replace chARGING PORT AND PUT IT ALL BACK BUT THE PHONE DOES NOT START...ONLY SOME BUZZZ WHEN I TRY BUT NO DISPLAY ....?

    • @repaironwheels
      @repaironwheels  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Always always always disconnect your battery before disconnecting or reconnecting flex cables. Just because there device is off as long as the battery is connected there is still power running through the board

    I can’t put my charger inside it it goes in a bit and I can see a white thing inside the charger port

      Rice?

    • @repaironwheels
      @repaironwheels  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      There shouldn’t be anything white in your port. I’d suggest removing the port and reinstall. This time around installs the port by coming in at a 45°angle and lay down once the base of the port is flush with the base of the housing. It’s easier to explain over the phone or in person. I hope that helps a little.

      I also suggest plugging in the charging dock before you start to tighten the 2 Philips screws, this should ensure it’s position correctly

      Hey man, my ports effed. The local shop said that their repair would “be like”getting a new phone. What’s that about?

    • @repaironwheels
      @repaironwheels  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Change a port means your port is new. Not the whole phone. Never once have I ever made a claim like that and it’s ridiculous that they’d even make a claim like that
