I find that irritating when people say that about a great film. Well its not as good as this movie its not as good as that movie. Just judge the film on its on merits ffs
@Daisy Dan yeah but he wasnt so much doing that Jack he was almost dimissing Promising Young Woman saying its not great. Its almost like saying well I loved The Godfather it was so much better than GoodFellas thats pretty much how he was speaking.
@@ajs41 Basically all of it except for the scenes involving Jennifer Coolidge and Clancy Brown (as the main character's parents) and, briefly, a part of the film which is almost a movie within a movie (which sort of riffs on classic Rom-Coms, even echoing the date night scene from Good Will Hunting at one point). The rest of it is the most awful 2-dimensional, cardboard cut-out, paint-by-numbers bollocks ever put on screen.

There is nothing wrong in comparing one movie to another, comparing movies with tv shows is not fair, though.
