Jazakhallah khair for such a wonderful groundbreaking series. Please could you present a video on how to overcome PMT and body dysmorphia from an Islamic and psychological perspective.

salam aleykoum, jazakAllahukhair this was extremely beneficial al hamdoulilah, the dua mentionned at the end :
    رَبِّ أَعُوذُ بِكَ مِنْ هَمَزَاتِ الشَّيَاطِينِ. وَأَعُوذُ بِكَ رَبِّ أَن يَحْضُرُونِ.
Rabbi audhu bika min hamazatishshayatin. Wa audhu bika Rabbi ayyahḍurun.
My Lord, I seek refuge in You from the incitements of the devils, And I seek refuge in You, my Lord, lest they be present with me.

Always wonderful to watch Dr. Rania Awaad, i just wish there was no background music as it’s very distracting.

yes its a waswas on aqidah. which makes me sick!!!!! it drives me crazy i constantly question my certainty, i question if those thoughts will take me out of islam. its so bad i pray to Allah all the time and the thoughts wont stop. this started 1 1/2 months ago and started with one waswasa from shaytan which stayed til now im afraid they will turn into doubts 😢 it was so bad that i thought or think theyre now my thoughts. i watch videos to boost my iman but nonsense-arguments shoot in my head and i feel like i have to convince myself, also it feels like my mind or i am sabotaging myself to fall into disbelief :( i dont know what to do. i think the waswasa and OCD thought crumbled my certainty in the pillars of imaan. I am devastated

please read the book “overcoming unwanted intrusive thoughts” by Sally m Winston and Martin n seif. This was my medicine and truly helped me with managing ocd! It’s not your fault and you will get better!!

@@nour.mp4 ameen, it’s okay sis. You are only having religious/scrupulosity ocd (a subtype/theme of ocd) because you care about your religion, ocd latches on to what you care about and gives you opposite thoughts about it and tricks you to think it’s you. The book will help you understand more and may Allah allow it to help you recover, ameen. and if you can I’d love to hear an update later whenever you have finished it!

These thoughts are from Shaytan, not from you! He wants you to think that they’re coming from yourself so that you become miserable. Whenever you get these thoughts then you should smile because it’s a sign of your strong faith since Shaytan doesn’t rob from an empty house!
The scholars have also advised repeating Surah Al-Nas throughout the day to combat these thoughts. Lastly and most importantly, you should seek advice from a pious person that can help you overcome this. May Allah reward you for your steadfastness and provide you with relief!

jazakumullah khairan !🌺 Is a neurodivergent muslim with (ADHD, ASD) accountable to the same degree for their actions as a neurotypical person?
