Every time I think I’m on the straight path, I hear a message like this and I realize I’m back to square one. I’m humbled yet again 😊❤

True. Embarrassing. But this is life. I'm in Medinah for ramadan and I thought I'd almost been perfected. Then I realize how lost I am on some issues.

With all the madness going on, Shaykh Abdal Hakim Murad brings coolness to the heart and soul, by transmitting Prophetic wisdom. May Allah grant him good health, long life and ever sharper faculties so that we may benefit from him for many more years.

Subhanallah, i feel like i sometimes see my reality with all its beauty but that feeling doesn't last as I would like it to last. May Allah open our hearts to see that beauty more frequently and unite the true believers. And may Allah bless you with this calm and peaceful small talk. It was soothing to listen.

It happened to me also, and didn't want that feeling to go away. To keep it, have to create awareness, daily intentions to focus (not in a forcefull way, but just to be mindful)

Beautiful. And Solitude in the crowd (khalwat dar anjuman in the farsi) - referred to herein as being part of “the khorasani tradition,” is perhaps a somewhat vague way of saying the Naqshbandi sufi path. That (khalwat dar anjuman) is one of the core principles of the naqshbandi tariqa. Allah bless you shaykh, see you again someday iA.

I don't think it is correct that the Mongols slaughtered everyone, including babies. I learned that they killed enemy leaders, and spared those who surrendered. This is evidenced with Islamic cities like Shiraz, which thrived even after the Mongols conquered it.
When I hear about the sacking of Baghdad, no matter how impressive and mighty the city was, I can't help but be reminded of Al-A'raf 7:34
"For each community there is an appointed term. When their time arrives, they can neither delay it for a moment, nor could they advance it."
No society lasts forever. And perhaps if the ruler of Bagdad hadn't murdered the Mongol envoys, the sacking may never have happened.
