Building in Ghana:Episode 11_ Phase 1 Electrical works for 110V and 240V and back-up systems

This channel describes how we re-purposed an old bungalow into 3 dwelling units or apartments.
In Episode 11, we discuss the rough-in electrical works for 110V and 240V electrical outlets as well the provision of back-up solar and generator systems for the outhouse, security post and the fence wall.
Upon completion:
(a) The bungalow will be converted into three (3) separate dwelling units; one 2.5BHK, one 2BHK and one 1BHK
(B=Bedroom, H=Hall/Living room, K=Kitchen; each bedroom will have an en-suite washroom).
(b) The outhouse will consist of:
(1) Ground floor-Bedroom with an en-suite washroom and a single car garage,
(2) First floor- 1BHK and a guest washroom.
(3) Secured stair well at the end of the building.
(c) A security post with its own washroom

One cable to one conduit is out of spec, once correctly size the cable CSA to the load schedule and all safety devices installed were necessary you should be fine.

Thank you for the feedback. I checked with Mr Osei and he mentioned that each conduit will contain 3 wires. Others may put more to save cost but his approach has served his clients well over the years.

What was the total cost? With labor

Total cost (labour and materials) for the outhouse, security post and fence wall was GHC 15900.

@@xhibitplus Yes they work in Accra. I can ask the head mason to send pictures of other houses and apartments they have built in Accra to you. They charge moderately.
