Hey - you guys are neighbors and this never came up? How about you two & the Morgans get together and sponsor a cruise! A good time of year is your mud season.
The wife and I have wanted to Cruise and this makes it more desirable. And yes would love to go down in the engine rooms as this is what I did in the Navy
Great video! I was on Harmony of the Seas sailing out of Galveston over the MLK holiday. There is SO much to do on these massive ships. I agree with the point you make at the end. When you consider the food, activities, shows, entertainment, service, and everything that is included with the price of cruising, it is hard to beat the “bang for the buck” you get. I’m partial to Royal Caribbean. They definitely do it right.
Great video, Adam. We did a Caribbean cruise in 2001, when our youngest son graduated college. There were 32 of us, family and friends and it was fantastic. Thanks again👍
These ships have definitely come a long way since we went on a cruise for our honeymoon 36 years ago. Makes me want to look at one again. Thanks for sharing
I really enjoyed this video. Looks like a good time. The only cruise that I was ever on happened on an aircraft carrier while I was in the Navy back in 1989. Have a good one, take care and God Bless you all!!!❤😊
WOW WICKED COOL! I LIKE THE IDEA OF A CRUSE, BUT MY WIFE IS NOT BEST FRIENDS WITH THE OCEAN... THANX FOR ALL THE VIEWS AND KILLER FOOD, AND FUN SHOTS. STAY COOL GUYS... PEACE FROM CREEL CHIHUAHUA, MEXICO...
We were in Jamaica in December of 2020 and did the blue hole tour. Just our group of friends were the only one there on the tour so we were able to jump as much as we wanted since they weren't busy due to covid. They even let us jump off the falls as well. Was glad we went during covid and didn't have the huge crowds
For beginners in cruising. Choose the ship that has good rating but not that expensive. Choose the very basic package on your first cruise. Create a list of activities or places that are not included in your package when you go around the cruise ship. So that in your next cruise you can choose what you want to add on your package, only add one. So that you will not regret if the experience of the activity or place is not in your liking.
He told it all..I will definetly sub to him. Best informative video..Thanks for showing the whole cruise and pricing. Most people never give the price.
pretty cool. We did Harmony of the seas from Royal Carribean back when the ship was new... a couple years before covid. All different ports on the one we took except for Labadee. Folks told us we would gain weight that week, but we stayed even or lost weight. I think it is because anywhere you want to go on the ship.. you are walking. Add to that swimming or more walking on their track. Great footage.
Hi Adam et al, Thank you for posting this video. The opening sequence of leaving the port of Miami--something I've done numerous times--started a walk down memory lane. Decades ago, I worked as a personal trainer in the gym of the Carnival Destiny (since rechristened the Sunshine).
Enjoyable video. We've done 3 Carnival cruises in total (1 in 2010, 2 in 2011, all to various South American ports), and went with our friends who are cruise-alholics. To date they've been on over 200 cruises. It was enjoyable enough, but too many people for my taste. The stops on your cruise were much nicer, and I think the privately owned islands offer a lot more. To me, most of the ports of call all looked the same with the duty free shops, the chain restaurants, etc. We did do some excursions that were pretty cool, like going to a wildlife refuge in Costa Rica and swimming with sting rays. It's one of those things that I'm glad we did it, but I don't think I'll do it again. My wife wants to go on another cruise, and I'm like "Fine, find a friend that'll go with you, but I'm staying at home with the dog." I'm not much into traveling, and I a kind of anxiety about leaving the house empty that long, which doesn't help. Oh, and if you go again, I highly recommend "The Captains Tour" if they offer that. Inner workings of the ship and all that stuff, and seriously cool.
Nice video Adam, glad you were all able to get together for this. Royal Caribbean is the only way to go on a cruise, they know how to do it. You are like the 3rd channel that came to Miami this month for a cruise..
Thank you for your detail at several levels. This was very useful. I was pretty sure would not like a cruise, and your information confirmed my earlier position. There is nothing about activities on board of interest. Food, ... nah. I have a hard time with any food outside the house. Water activities, ... no. However, I am happy your family had a good time, especially extended family. This was a very important time for all, from small to your parents. Thanks.
This was great. I smiled the entire video - well, not during the pricing info! 😉 It's amazing what's built into these ships - entire cities!! It's such a blessing that all of your family could be there!! You really are patient to do all that videoing - takes a lot of effort, but now your family has a wonderful way to remember this trip! Good to see you, Adam's Mom! Personally, I'd rather be at your Airbnb! 🥰 God bless y'all! ♥️🙏♥️
Thank you for the review!! That is the cruise ship I want to go on next. I’ve been on a Disney and it was very nice but a little more expensive. Thank you so much for the breakdown of everything. Really enjoy your channel.
Adam, thank you for sharing this experience. I’ve never been on one but like you like to say “not my cup of tea“😂. The most interesting part was your accountant analysis of the costs. For your next cruise I will suggest to look into chartering a catamaran sailboat, although more expensive and tight space you may convince the company for a discount in exchange for a TH-cam video. Getting close to 200k. Looking forward for pond’s updates 😅.
I took a cruise on the ship - Wonder of the Seas in November 2023. It is very similar to the ship you were on. Cruises are a great value for a vacation and nice get-a-away in during the cold winter months. Royal Caribbean has more professional shows than MSC cruise line.
Awesome overview! Thanks for sharing your information. My father-in-law and his wife go on multiple cruises a year. Others in my family have done it too. My wife is not too interested, but maybe this video will change her mind. We did go to Jamaica in 2010 and did the Dunns River Falls walk. I still have my water shoes from that. 😅
Hey Adam and Family!!!! Love your videos so much. Our family is a big cruise family. Haven't been since COVID. Need to go within the next year or so. This helped me get my mind going. Really engaged watching it with a few inches of the white stuff on the ground in Illinois.
A very different type of video Adam but a great one. It looks like you had a wonderful time with your entire family. The cruise line should give you money for the full-length commercial you just provided them. Anyway, stay safe, healthy and warm. Bill H from Cranberry Township
Thank you for taking us along on your cruise. It was very interesting. Those cruise ships (boats?*) are like a floating city with amusement parks, Las Vegas like shows and casinos, restaurants and everything else. *boat. If it can fit on the deck of something larger it's not a ship. So says the Navy.
Very good video better c than the companies. Too many people for my taste. My favorite places are where I cannot see a house or light from the highest point.
Great video. While my wife and I normally watch all of your videos when they come out, I passed over this video initially because I don't think that we are cruise type people. Boats yes, ships, not so much. Anyway, the video was really good and an excellent introduction to landlubbers like me or wannabe cruisers. I would think that Royal Caribbean might want to sponsor you after this one.
What an amazing adventure! Thank you for sharing this with your audience. I don’t know if I’ll ever take a cruise in the Caribbean, we are interested in the Alaskan cruises, and actually looking at a Viking cruise on a river in Europe somewhere. I have to say, we’ll have to save for that one. My wife’s dream trip is to Wales. And to see the whales off the coast of California, I can’t forget that one either.
Great video and enjoyed it very much. I suggest you modify the tag or image for the video to be more hometown acres centric as I didn't even recognize it as one of your videos the first several days it was posted.
Absolutely enjoyed the whole video! This is the first “cruise” I have seen from top to bottom with a great breakdown of expenses. Well, except for 9 months on a carrier (USS AMERICA) WESPAC Tonkin Gulf but that was an entirely different story. You did an excellent job throughout!! Thanks for bringing us along 😊. Marcus from Chesapeake VA but in Florida for a while 😉.
We just sailed RC Liberty of the Seas beginning on MLK day and visited Nassau and CocoCay. Funny to be a subscriber from PA and seeing you did a similar vacation. Fun fact the private yacht Seven Seas that was docked in Nassau is owned by Steven Spielberg.
Thanks for this video. I have been looking to take my wife on a cruise for our anniversary. Seeing what it actually like i would hate it. Time for a new plan.
We did a Nassau cruise in 92 for our wedding vacation. We did the city tour and everyone wanted a tip for just anything. Looks like things have changed a lot since
My take on the differences in room prices with kids compared to without is they want people with kids to be in certain areas and not in other areas... Just a thought.
Where did you book from and do you have to book the room based off how my are in your party? for example, Can i book a two adult room for me and my two kids and share the bed with my smaller child?or am i forced to book who's in my party. I ask because we can share space and save if possible
calling it already: most unexpected rick roll of 2024. got rick rolled in a video about a cruise trip from a guy who usually is processing firewood in his videos. lol

I’m blown away with the size of those ships! Thanks for showing me something I’ve never seen before.
You and me both!

Nice cruise! Best part was the burn on Kyle buried 20 minutes into the video! Well played!
Yeah we’ll see if he catches that one lol
That was hilarious 😂 👍🌟 Kyle was too cute!!
Oh ya i caught it. Nice touch

Thank you Adam for taking us along on your family vacation. That cruise ship was amazing, I didn't realize how much they had available!
I’m surprised you didn’t bring Doug 😂

Great video, Adam. We did a Caribbean cruise in 2001, when our youngest son graduated college. There were 32 of us, family and friends and it was fantastic. Thanks again👍
This is hilarious! I got off the ship the morning you got on the ship. We love cruising!
I imagine that Neighbor Doug has completely reorganized the ship layout after watching this.
GOOOOOOOD MAAAAAAAAWNIN….Thanks for sharing Adam. Glad y’all had some family fun & made
Lifetime memories.

Cruises are not my cup of tea; great overview can see why they’re popular
How expensive were drinks? Did you spend much out of pocket on beverages and food that was not included?

No it was not. I figured airfare will be different for everybody and some people could even drive to port if they lived close enough
