- The London Underground District Line is in Train Simulator 2017 with this cool community made Virtual District Lines map where you can drive D78 Stock (and 1973 stock) around south west london. Today I do a shift from Richmond to Earl's Court! Enjoy!

The d-stock you are driving is limited to 30mph, press SHIFT + W to raise the weak field flag, this means that the restrictor is removed
This was awesome. Can't wait to see more. Was oozing with giddiness hearing those sounds. I'm always so fascinated by anything London Underground or London Overground and this happens to be coming from someone who resides in NYC saying this :D
One of the best freeware routes available. Can't stop driving it especially because of the D78 stock. Certainly gives DTG a run for their money!

The depot is called Lillie Bridge, and at West Kensington you see the big building on the right of the station? That's Ashfield House, or as we all call it (Ashtray House) which is one of London Underground's main assessment and training centre's. I was there last week!
R.I.P D78 London Underground Stock. We loved you so much. You will be awfully missed by everyone. We hope to see you on the Afterlife Metro😆. I missed the Farewell Heritage tour, so I didn't see you go on your last journey in real life😭. Thank you TfL for bringing us such an amazing train😄🙏🙏prayers for the D78 Stock

The good thing about the D-stock is that they're being modified to run on national rail as either DMUs or battery powered EMUs and two are going to be delivered to the Isle of white to replace the 1938 stock currently running there

you are right about a track from W. Ken to Lillie Bridge depot and Earls Court is not the most major area for terminating trains but there are a few sidings there for use.

yh I have been told about the flags like the weakfield, I think i have thise except the olympia shuttle run, i have problems with the other two however, in the d stock final run the s stock doesn't show even though i have the western mainline and chiltern mainline s7 ai (maybe a re install on those?), the 73 replacement is wierd i basically have a battery loco outside of hammersmith which doesn't want to move so I cannot drive anywhere, any thoughts?

I love the inside of the D78 stock compare to the s stock I just yellow where the D stock had a nice green colour Goodbye to them all
The single leafed deep level tube stock was the 1983 stock. The deep level equivalent to the d stock. Its literally almost identical except thats deep level this is sub surface. It was scrapped due to wooden floors and how fragile they were and how crap they were. Hence why the 1986 stock was tested. Then eventually in 1997 came the 1996 stock.

Yep, there was an experimental Jubilee Line stock at the start of the Jubilee Line. It was testing round doors, single doors as user operated doors.
they should have transferred it to the actual bakerloo line shame it never took of but I guess a single leaf door on deep level tube lines was not fit
I thought they were always Jubilee Line trains for 13 years as those trains entered in 1983 and the Jubilee opened in 1979, those 4 years, the line I thought used 1972 MKI stock trains...
Its looks better than much of the official paid dlc.

QwertyAfro, The 15mph speed limit on the approach to Gunnersbury is to protect the junction just north of the station which normally on LU owned track would be "approach controlled" as seen at Baker Street and Moorgate were the train would draw up to a red signal mid-way down the platform, the signal would then clear to a yellow aspect allowing the train to move forward at a slow enough speed that even if it overran the signal at the platform end it wouldn't "foul" the junction. As Gunnersbury is on NR territory, they don't have approach control signals at such close proximity hence the slow speed which must be compatible with AWS. First and last District services do turn back at Earls Court but it's a move that blocks lines so can't be carried out even when running an off-peak service.

If you press CTRL+SHIFT+W, the Weakfield will activate and you can do 45mph.

Imyy Khan don't press control just shift and W at the same time then your limit will be 30 to 45

The weak field and coast flags must be raised in order to speed up faster than thirty. These are controlled be shift c for coast flag and shift w for your weak field flag. The weak field flag is the main one.

Hi, any ideas on how to open the doors on D78? I'm running the route on TS2019, loaded up stardard route/scenario, cannot pick up any passemgers. Pressing T, pressing the unclickable buttons on the cab's dashboard but nothing.

The reason on why you were capped is because you didn't use the 'weak field' or 'coasting' flags. With both up, you'll get 45mph.
ah yes the more advanced controls need to get a hand of that at some point
What is the instruction to move the D78 stock and 1973 stock Piccadilly lines train on rail simulator plz I really need help I tried everything but nothing seem to be moving at all.
Are there any plans to continue the rest of the District Line towards upminster and Wimbledon. cos that would be cool and we can then have the whole of the district line and maybe the new s stock trains which now runs on the District Line.
The D Stock were nice trains to drive, but you'd have to push for anything above 35mph!
Northern were going to run these trains to replace the pacers but they orderd new class 195 Civity units to replace them

Where can I find this? It is not on Steam so I take it that it isnt available as an add-on now that Train Simulator is in 2021 and not 2017. I got this in 2015 so I probably cannot get it as it still only has the trains from the 2015 version and no trains in any versions since.

its I know exactly how the background looks like from gunnersbury. The park to the left after gunnersbury is called triangle park xD I know exactly how everything looks like once u joined the 4 main tracks to turnham green and its not that bad.
A big disgrace to Tfl for getting rid of the amazing D78 stock train. It should have been on "the London underground" until 2020.

A new game came out its called omsi 2 addon bus company pre-order on the description. GO GET IT QUICKLY.
No don't!! It's very buggy at the moment. Many are people having issues with it. Check out the OMSI discussion forums on Steam.

I'm still surprised why the D stock Lasted further than the C stock, they were exactly the same but the doors were much better in my opinion
