It started like a show; it ended as a massacre...
It ended in the only way possible I think
😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
he let him play and believe in the best foolish way
Like all great players, Sinner figured him out even before the end of the first set, which he almost lost in a bagel.
Sintesi perfetta.
If Sinner had been Rublev, he would have exploded in anger at 0-5 and not been able to recover his composure. Kudos to Sinner for maintaining self belief, inner calmness, and adapting in the second set to handle Moutet’s defensive/offensive style of play.
To be honest, Moutet pulled out the best drop shots i've seen in a long time, he's also fast as hell, nice performance but I'm Happy Jannik handled him really well, DAJE
Oh my God, Sinner!💯💯💯
That was so incredibly enjoyable. Unlike a great showman like Monfils, Moutet takes himself seriously and doesn't really have a plan B. Sinner came up with a new plan and dominated. Especially fun was how he began to outplay Moutet on everything, including drop shots.
Moutet is a clown. I wasn't remotely worried after the first set. Knew it was just a matter of time before Jannik nullified his eccentricities. To be fair Moutet did some good scrambling. It said it all though when the French crowd started doing the Mexican wave just because he saved being broken for second time. Clowns one and all.
@@hertor8803 It's fun being in a crowd and rooting for the home-town guy. Same thing happens in every country in the world, and the fans from other places all complain about it.
@@zweigackroyd7301we don't complain. We win!!!!💪💪💪
@@raffaelecafiero3608 Judging by that name, i guess you are Italian, right? So if i'm correct, you win what exactly? Before Sinner, who is already great and gonna become greater, there was no winning men's italian tennis. I'm Greek and Tsitsipas alone, even slamless, has won more big titles (4) than all the male Italian players ever (Sinner has 2 and Fognini has 1, if i'm not mistaken). Not even at 5-0 in the 1st set did I believe for a
single moment that Jannik could lose this match. 👍
The truth is that he needed to stay on the court a
little more to improve his physical form.... 😛😎
Great to see Sinner humble this guy. Those drop shots are nice but unlike the other opponents Sinner figured them out real quick and started using them against him. Good shit. And good shit for silencing toxic frenchies in the crowd
No different than Murray in Wimbledon with the crowd.
What is the difference between Italian fans and French ones? These are very strange comments. Everyone is rooting for their tennis player

Insopportabile. Con eleganza Jannik lo ha devastato
Seeing Sinner putting that clown and his crowd to sleep is priceless.
Well said, my friend
Agree
You evidently don't know what the word "respect" means. Moutet was unable to maintain the incredibly high standard he displayed in the first set (also because Sinner became better), but Moutet's play and behaviour was anything BUT clown-like!
@@EconomistGI I think he was not plainly referring to this one match. The guy did have quite a lot of questionable behaviors in the past.
BrunoLiegiBastonLiegi. 😂😂😂 Maccio regna!
He might say the crowd was fair because we all know that Jannik will always be humble, but this is karma! They kept singing, screaming and doing weird stuff during the match which was so disturbing and glad that Jannik silenced them by winning this tough match!!!! Karma 🔥🇮🇹
It's not karma, it's an exceptional player with great variety figuring out how to win. If these pros worried about "karma", they'd lose because focusing on nonsense doesn't help.

Moutet can be a bellend sometimes, but you can't deny his hands. Great to see that he was able to give Sinner a different look for almost 1 set and a half. Great fight by Jannik
I'm italian but I don't like the comments below on crowd and poor Moutet. Moutet played at his best and many drop shots just to mess up Sinner plan... What else could he have done? Crowd tried to help him during the match, maybe was a little bit noisy, but nothing of terrible. This stuff worked for the first set, where everything worked perfectly, but when Sinner got the right countermeasures the match was over. Anyway this match learns what the difference is between a champ and a good player, finding the way to get out of trouble and winning the match. Well done Jannik.
As Italian, unfortunately we don't have much class in victory

You are not italian.
That Moutet is disliked, and his wins not acknowledged may be due to his unsportsmenlike reputation.
I did not like his style/technique during his first set, even though he managed to win the set. It looked too clunky. But I admire his determination going for every ball.

Once again, the elegance of a non-french player gives a masterful lesson to the worst crowd in the entire circuit.
Invece a Roma tutti signori e zitti

well done Sinner, who brought Moutet, who had gotten in his head, back into line. I'm sorry for the French fans, who are so chauvinistic... but I enjoyed it doubly for this. How on earth could they think that moutet could defeat a great champion like the Italian?
Nobody in France was thinking that he could win, why people always gotta hate on other people, thats just sad... We have very few good players in France that can go far in this type of tournament so we cheer for them, let people enjoy
Italian here, and to think that we - of all people - have any right to judge other countries for supporting their players is just ridiculous: no longer than a couple of weeks ago Korda was harassed all day long by italian hooligans rooting for Cobolli... and the list could go on forever.

Moutet drank a perfect coffee this day but it's effect is not long
Second set Sinner moved into the base line to run down the drop shots and even start mixing in a few of his own. Since Moutet had no plan B, that was end of story. I have no issue with underarm serves btw, they have the same purpose as drop shots and are 100% legal - you just have to accept the opponent's answer to them just as well.
Yes but there are unwritten rules that you cannot overcome...Silence during rallies is not planned by any rulebook, but It exists and respected...This kind of serve is disrespectful, legal doesn't mean fair or moral
@@tonymaner5510and then you think drop shots also are disrespectful?
@@tonymaner5510mate thinking underarm serves is disrespectful is just being salty. Also, you have seen the height of Moutet? As a short player one has to be crafty and more unpredictable on serve as he won't get a lot of free points on his serve. Isn't a coincidence that Chang made it famous.

Corentin Moutet's underarm serve is like a secret weapon from a parallel tennis universe. It's not a lob, it's not a slice-it's a cryptic message to the tennis gods: 'Dear deities, please accept this humble offering of confusion and awkwardness. May it confound my opponent and grant me a point.' And you know what? The gods must have chuckled, because Jannik Sinner was left standing there, wondering if he accidentally stumbled into a game of Pictionary. It's nice to see a player like Moutet who is a bit of a character and plays the game differently. A lot of tennis these days, whilst entertaining, is full of quite predictable baseline rallies. It made the match interesting for the first two sets as well until Sinner took control.
why is everyone getting angry at the french crowed cheering much more for moutet (a french player )isnt that logical for a home crowd to support their player and celebrate when they win points .

Bella partita! Bravo Moutet!
