Lovely! Thank you for this and your two previous videos. Yes, you do give people confidence to have a go :) we have a similar LR2 3.2 i6 that has a sun damaged dash. It would have been good to have seen how you went about the process of covering the dash, and what filler and methods you used to smooth out the cracks. I can imagine though that it is hard trying to film and do the work. Maybe you have some images that you could use. Thanks too for the tip about the vinyl stretch direction too.
Yeah, i am really sorry i couldn't keep up with filming and working. Was alone for the most part. Right underneath the cracked layer of dash, is a sort of pale greenish (some of us may be colour blind though) base which is actually smooth. So what i did was use a plastic trim tool (the flat part that looks like a wide chisel or scraper), carefully peel off the cracked layer to expose the smooth pale greenish base. It was not difficult to peel off. It is on this smooth layer that i applied the adhesive and layed the vinyl upon. Let me know if you need any more details. Will try to provide assistance

Wonder where it the copilot airbag?
What was the material used to cover the dashboard?
Man-made/artificial leather. Chose something durable yet soft enough to allow the airbag go off if/when the need arise
Where did you get the material?
From a local furniture lad. Told him the purpose I needed it for, and that's what he gave to me. Not bad at all thus far.
