What about when Sgt. Martínez betrayed Victor Vance, in GTA Vice City Stories? He got him out of the army, and got him in a lot of troubles, even his girlfriend which had a baby got killed. The whole plot of GTA Vice City Stories was Victor's revenge on Martinez
That is a good one as well . The death of Louise was more on the Mendez brothers and Lance . Lance caused the whole mess by telling Vic it was Martinez’s coke when in reality it was the Mendez brothers .
Wow, that's a good catch. After a bit of a cursory search, it seems only one specific weapon is the exact same model-- namely the Ruger Mini-14 --but, if you stretch it to broader strokes, both did involve pump-action shotguns and .357 magnums as well. So yeah, neat trivia; thanks for the share.
@@MGVK2277 For me? The lack of single player content in the last 8 years. @@MGVK2277 my bro Jesse said that right. I only played once gta5 and it took me like 15 hours to finish all the missions. If thats not fail what is it? When I played san andreas for the first time I did 2 months to finish it. Another fact is that: Gta 3~2001, gta vice city~2002, san andreas~2004. We had 3 games that was each of them epic and mythic in their own way in 3 years!!! Can you believe this??? I am still waiting for the next gta.
At the start of your videos, you always mention that they are long. We love long videos so don’t feel that you need to tell your viewers that you apologize for such a long video. Much love man!
This was top quality content! As a viewer I could tell you were passionate about this one. I never beat Vice City but now I wanna take another crack at it!
Very well done video Pro! Huge thanks for taking the time to play these awesome classics and sharing your thoughts on their characters! There sure was a lot of interesting material on these characters. Catalina always was a cold hearted person, she would kill anyone who got in her way. Vinnie was just the jealous type, he didn't want anyone taking his place even though that's exactly what he did to Toni when he was away. Smoke and Ryder definitely screwed over Carl and the rest of the Grove, that just shows you how far people will go to have money and power, even if it means betraying your childhood friends. Dimitri may look like a human being from the outside, but in the inside he is nothing but a snake! This guy betrayed everyone who came in contact with him, his best friend, his business partners, hell he probably betray his own damn mother! Now Lance's betrayal hit me like a freight train when I first played VC. After everything Tommy went through to build his empire, saving and helping Lance on many occasions, and making him his right hand man, just to have him betray him in front of Sonny, another backstabber!? It's bad enough Tommy knew Sonny was already a backstabber, but Lance too?! Jesus! Lance was an idiot from the start, even before the events of VC. In VCS Vic knew Lance could not be handle anything on his own and always had to "babysit" him throughout the game. Lance got Vic into so many problems. Because of Lance's stupid mistakes and actions he got Vic into a war with the Mendez brothers, got Vic's love interest killed, and even got Vic killed by persuading him to start dealing drugs again even though Vic wanted nothing to do with drugs anymore. Oh man Lance was just nothing but a selfish child to both Tommy and Vic. He always wanted what's best for him and not for those around him. If Lance was the one who got shot during the deal and Vic was the one who survived in the chopper, I think Tommy and Vic would of been two of the most powerful and badass crime lords in VC! Again thanks for making this great video Pro! I definitely enjoy these top 5 videos in other GTAs! Please continue to do more!
I didn't feel impressed by Lance's betrayal because he was indeed the single most useless guy in the Vercetti Gang and still complained about getting called out
Lance was useless from the start of game but him finding Tommy in the beginning of the game was weird to me at first cause I thought was he following Tommy but when the phone calls came I knew he was gonna betray Tommy. Like I straight up knew Lance goal was money and power therefore I was like ya he is a straight up traitor. It was after his first phone call I knew this but Sonny betrayal was a little of guard but it makes sense cause Sonny employed Lance. So the betrayal of Vice city was like straight forward and I knew it was gonna happen. San Andreas betrayal really got me cause I didn't expect any of it. Gta 4 was a 50/50 after Dimitri call to see him alone, I got suspicious he is gonna kill Niko but then thought also he wants Niko to help him with something. So Gta 4 betrayal was a 50/50 thing for me, I still got mad at his betrayal but I wasn't shocked cause I half expected it. But Vance was a idiot and useless guy to start with.
It wasn't THAT surprising. I knew the second he started complaining to Tommy about feeling under appreciated, he was going to turn traitor. Sonny's betrayal was kind of a given too. It made for a badass final mission though.
Or if GTA 6 follows the multiple protagonist system from GTA 5, one of its protagonists should be based on, or similar to tommy vercetti.. like tommy vercetti, the protagonist is from liberty city, a member of an Italian mafia based in liberty city that was never seen or mentioned previously on GTA 4. His backstory is similar to tommy vercetti in which his boss set him up to be arrested, and imprisoned at least 5 years before GTA 6, but instead of being sent to kill a certain target, this protagonist for a change is sent by his boss(the GTA 6 Version of sonny forelli) to deliver drugs to a certain buyer who turned out to be an undercover (corrupt) cop
I love these videos. These top 5’s are just really good and not just low effort videos. You can see the effort and passion The Professional put into this.
I can understand why Lance Vance is # 1 but Ryder and Big Smoke has to AT LEAST be # 2 not only because you grew an attachment to the 2 characters on your first playthrough, but for the way Ryders betrayal was “handled” by Rockstar
that shit aint action packed, that one guy from gta 4 that was always talking about how powerful his friends are CLEARLY had more of an action packed death!!!!!11!!!🙄🙄🙄🙄🙄🙄🙄🙄🙄🙄🙄🙄🙄🙄🙄🙄
Just because someone betrayed the main character doesn’t mean they’re unlikeable. Lance is still a well written character, and if his betrayal hurt us, it shows how his betrayal is well written. So is Sonny’s betrayal because of the background of the story. Every GTA antagonist betrayal is well written. However I can understand why some don’t feel much sympathy towards antagonists. I for one though, thinks that Lance’s betrayal has two sides and I don’t feel hatred towards him, just disappointment. And honestly I feel that Tommy also feels that way. Lance’s betrayal really affected Tommy. And killing his best friend made him feel very bad. I doubt Ken was able to constitute as a replacement for Lance. The Tommy who killed Sonny and Lance wouldn’t have abandoned Lance. After Sonny and Lance betrayed him, Tommy became colder and more practical, likely due to his Mafia lifestyle hardening him even more. As Sonny would say: “I hoped you’d see sense. See what’s good for business”. In a way, Tommy’s exile of Ken is reminiscent of Sonny exiling Tommy, for his sake, and for the family’s sake. The difference is that Tommy didn’t try have Ken killed, and Sonny did, but unfortunately leaving a recovering addict in the desert is as bad as killing him.
SDM If you have a PS3 or Xbox One, get GTA 4 and Episodes from Liberty City, they are fun. You would enjoy them. I’m going to replay them again. I love GTA
The campaign is very long and repetitive. I find that to be the biggest downfalls of GTA IV. I still love the game, but I have yet to finish the campaign.
@@huntermielke12 yeh true a lot of the missions are like that in the game which is what I think like san andreas did a lot better with the game but the story is way too damn good and that's kinda just what kept me playing. Also the length of it is pretty long but it also has to set up the episodes as well which they were able to tie into the whole overall story which was another really cool thing I forgot about
I was so frustrated about Lance's betrayal. I wanted him dead from the time I had to rescue him, I knew he was dead weight and self-important. Not a good combo for a #2. I remember actually getting excited when Tommy "warned" him over the phone. I really thought I was gonna get to cap him and solve the brewing problem I saw coming a mile away.

San Andreas was truly ahead of its time. Greatest gta of all time. Vice City was amazing too, I loved the scarface vibes it gave off. Gta 4 was also great to me. Caesar and Little Jacob are your REAL best friends😎 Out of all the betrayals I'm mostly affected by is Lance Vance,I could sense it even in vice city stories before he met tommy >.
I don’t think GTA IV should be on this list, especially above San Andreas. A betrayal only works if you trust a character. Niko only trusts his family, just like CJ. This is why San Andreas had a worse betrayal.
I agree that SA was hands down the worst betrayal, but Niko kinda did trust Dimitri, which is why he killed what's his name and agreed to meet Dimitri later to collect his money. Hell Dimitri literally turns on everyone he works with in the game. It's why Niko hates him so much. I mean, did you watch the video or played the game??
I get why Professional didn’t want to include GTA V, but I’m talking about the last few Story Mode missions when I say Devin Weston, Steve Haines, and Stretch was by far one of the worst betrayals. Because you have three options, two of them being killing friends Franklin has known and connected with in some sort of way. The other risking all three protagonists’ lives, getting into trouble with one of the most well known and bloodthirsty gangs, trying to fend for yourself when NOOSE ambushes the three protagonists, and almost getting yourself killed when you assassinate Steve, because you get yourself involved the freaking IAA. That’s just my opinion though. This was a great video!

Lance betrayed Tommy out of greed, felt that he wasn't being compensated enough though Tommy was responsible for the relationships and business that made the Vercetti gang what it was.

Yeah tho at the end he (Uncle Kenny) was behind Huang's Dad's death
same, I almost cried when I first beat Chinatown Wars on Nintendo DS lol
I also remember the mission being called Salt in the Wounds or something
Chinatown wars is a concrete example in which the people who will betray you are your own relatives, case in point wu lee murdering his brother who is also huang's dad
imho, dimitri betraying niko was the worst one.
More like smoke and Ryder
@@anime_editor3383 more like dimitri
Na, you could see that coming, worst one was vice city last mission
I feel like ryders and big smokes betrayel was worse initially but over the years I ended up hating dimitri more and his betrayel has left a bad taste in my mouth longer
@@xavi123ify it was fairly similar in sa but Ryder felt a bit suspicious to me
What about when Sgt.
@@theprofessional155 all the more proof that Lance never thought about anyone else but himself and his ego
I liked Vics "Drugs are bad mkay" outlook in vcs
Aqui Clife Strongly disagree. Martinez didn't betray Vic, because he was never friends with him to begin with.

MY GOD NOW THERE ARE TWO OF THEM
I'm just realizing that some of the weapons in GTA Vice City were the ones used during the Miami-Dade shooting in 1986
Had this exact thought a month ago
Wow, that's a good catch.
After a bit of a cursory search, it seems only one specific weapon is the exact same model-- namely the Ruger Mini-14 --but, if you stretch it to broader strokes, both did involve pump-action shotguns and .357 magnums as well.
So yeah, neat trivia; thanks for the share.
Even a minigun and a katana? And a rocket launcher?
Never apologise for long videos especially when they are this enjoyable, you’re a good creator I’ve found your GTA videos insightful.
The worst part about Lance's betrayal is that he had Vic killed, his own brother.
Really I thought it was the Diaz guy who sent them to kill him
Lance's betrayal was the other part of the story, it was Diaz who had Vic killed
Lance's betrayal happened cause he was a little bitch never happy with his cuts and was needing more attention
Lance didn't have Vic killed that was Diaz they was gonna do the deal with Tommy at the start of vice city but Diaz's people ruined the deal
Lance didn't betray Vic, he betrayed Tommy. Lance would never betray Vic.
Mom’s death is the most saddest deaths in GTA history
Next one is probably Louise's in VCS
Caesar was such a good guy on gta sa, cj would’ve died without him
Worst betrayals in Gta History?
Rockstar betraying the fans. Ba-zing!
you said that perfectlly right brother. rockstar has betrayed us all "old" fans since 2013....
how?
@@MGVK2277 For me? The lack of single player content in the last 8 years. The massive "paywalls" in GTAO (I've got 700 levels in it BTW so, miss me with grind more defense.) how they handled/handle RDO.
I could go on and on. I've been a loyal R* boi my entire life, but personally I feel they want money more than they want to make good games.
You mean... Bazinga.
@@w.c2255 but he was a friend😢
It wasn't THAT surprising. I knew the second he started complaining to Tommy about feeling under appreciated, he was going to turn traitor. Sonny's betrayal was kind of a given too. It made for a badass final mission though.
@@jpeg.600x2fake friend from the start
It's not like Kendl. Louise or Kate were useful. They weren't.
Tommy is the most badass GTA protagonist ever in my opinion. I wish we could see or play as him again in another game.
he was based off of Tony Montana from Scarface after all, even the final mission in the game and the final scene in the movie
Yeah definitely
Doubtful. Ray Liotta passed away some years ago to play him again.
I really hope I'm wrong about that one.
Aww, Mr. Mister’s “Broken Wings” one of my favorite 1980s songs
We got Big Smoke's and Rockstar's betrayal in one game lol.

srsly, Tommy rubbed ass just to save him
Agreed.. lance was never a villain until the finale.. unlike Catalina who started GTA 3 by betraying Claude
I never played IV but this makes me want to. I played all the others, even 2

Also the length of it is pretty long but it also has to set up the episodes as well which they were able to tie into the whole overall story which was another really cool thing I forgot about
The gta 4 complete edition is on steam for 7 bucks
I was so frustrated about Lance's betrayal. I wanted him dead from the time I had to rescue him, I knew he was dead weight and self-important. Not a good combo for a #2. I remember actually getting excited when Tommy "warned" him over the phone. I really thought I was gonna get to cap him and solve the brewing problem I saw coming a mile away.

San Andreas was truly ahead of its time. Greatest gta of all time. Vice City was amazing too, I loved the scarface vibes it gave off. Gta 4 was also great to me. Its story & gameplay is my personal favorite, I actually got emotional playing it. Gta 5 story just didnt do it for me. Didnt meet my standards in terms of a great gta game, to me its actually lackluster. I think you should do a vid about your favorite features from the older games.

Out of all the betrayals I'm mostly affected by is Lance Vance,I could sense it even in vice city stories before he met tommy >.
Very nice commentary and editing, good work!
