I noticed at the beginning of this video that the main meters are pretty much in sync with the 0 level when you solo the channel. My proFX16v3 main meters barely read at 20 when I have gain staged various channels at 0 and the solos are turned off. This can't be normal.

00:37 Thank you so much for explaining this. I was about to write a real pissed-of email to the seller because I bought a B-Stock I thought it was broken only working on one side....

Took me a while to figure this out myself!

Why can’t I add gain to stereo channels ? It has gain knob and I get no boost? I’m using stereo synths line in

I typically set my channel slider to unity gain, run the gains into red then roll them back. If the channel I’m using has compression knob, I might set the signal a bit hotter then use the compression to tighten highs/lows (squish) the signal a bit. Sweet unit.

Mau nanya saya py mixer yg sama tapi yg 12 chanel.
Chanel 1-4 gain jack akai dn canon berfungsi tapi utk chanel 5-10 gain utk jack akai tdk berfungsi tp utk jack canon berfungsi...
Apakah itu mixer nya normal atau ada kesalahan produksi.
    Mohon penjelasan nya.
    Terimakasih

Are these Mackies known for having to crank the gain right up? I have profx12 v3 and I really ahve to crnk the gain to get the meter lights going...

Yes, I have found that they require you to really crank the gain up. These Mackie mixers are really good and affordable, but they do not have the best pre-amps in my opinion.

Depends on the device you’re leveling - some need more gain some less. That’s pretty much true with any mixer in this price range. But these pres will easily run any device into clipping.

I’m a little late to the party but the rude light is pretty much exactly what it means. It flashes to rudely get your attention to let you know that you have an open channel or in this case the PFL button is pushed.

Good. Your ProFX15v3 is identical to my ProFX16v3.

Rude solo its just an indicator which flashes whenever any solo is engaged.
It tells you "Hey you have activated a solo somewhere so be careful 😊"
