What a great video! 20 minutes ago I hardly knew anything about my mixer. Now I get most of it! I have this mixer and a simmons da200 monitor. I didn't know if I was going to use the monitor with my acoustic drums. From what can tell by this video, it looks like I can. Can't wait to try it.

Great video! Thanks for posting it. I have a ProFx16 (not the v2) that I got a few years ago. This video was still applicable and helped me understand how the subs work. I really like this mixer. I use it for DJ work as well as studio and live performances. I highly recommend it.

i love it and this presentation too the mixer is the best only 1 problem theres no mono main out but except this this is the best mixer for live bands and party and mobile dj (thats what i use for)

Suddenly ALL the internal effects failed, readout shows "88," preset knob does nothing, no effects at all. Still under warranty, will keep everyone posted!

@@windcruz keep in mind that it does have its limitations. It's not 100% I wouldn't get close to the speakers with the microphone.
Thank you for the review. What i don't understand is the combined knob CR/phones. In a home setup.If i have my active monitor speakers on the control room outs and want to use the headphones too with the same sound source, how do you control both volume levels than?
Thanks, I bought the Pro16Fx some years ago after my Mackie 24 recording mixer went out from years of work (RIAP) Rest In Audio Peace.This video is great even though it's for the V2 of the original.I have had good success with mine with limited understanding of how it all works but this video explains a lot of what I've been wondering would work.I'm adding a second set of monitors to my studio for mastering referencing with a Mackie Big Knob as the monitor A/B controller. Any suggestions on the output routing from the mixer thru the Big Knob to the speakers?

Something I notice on this very nice video (very understandable!) , there is quite a loud background noise. I tried other videos, its not my setup, its definately that video. And since you use your microphone in that mixer there I suppose, the mic preamps seem to do quite some noise.
Very informative video. A question, is there a way to split the usb output out of the mixer? A regular usb splitter does not work. I would like to send the audio from the usb out into two different computers. Tried a usb hub and nothing.
I have the 12 channel version which has the USB option as well. However I haven’t figured out when to use the USB line

First, why the four sub-exits do not have the effect of echo FX and what is their use unless they are mixed with echo...?

Thanks for the presentation. I’m having trouble with channel 15/16. I do not get any sound when I plug into 15/16 from the L/R out put from my Alesis iO Dock ll. I get sound from 9/10,11/12 & 13/14. But nothing from 15/16. I have pressed the usb button on & off. Any ideas? Thanks

Dude how do you dial in the fx? The knob brings up the desired preset effect but how do you work that preset effect to the desired sound your looking for.....?????or can you????
No Pre/post fader selection for aux? Or is it defaulted?

Great video. It's fantastic board. one thing i was looking for was a main effects on/off switch. Like the sub channel i like to kill all effects after a song rather than have to turn everyone's vocals effects off individually. So is there a main effect bypass switch?

If you record one track - drum - can you record another bas or what ever and listening in the monitor previously drum track ? This console work in the 100% like interface or only one way if you want monitorig in the real time you mix? Many thx

I liked this mixer to use in my weekend parties at home! I have a few questions. Does it have 48V Phantom Power supply for condenser mics? How can I connect two wireless mics with UHF receiver? Will this mixer work well with 2 Mackie speakers Thump 15A?

What in-ear system do you have? You could use some of the monitors send and/ or the Headphone with headphone Splitter like the PHA40

How do you use the tape in and tape out? I want to play music from my laptop through the system and I can't find a level for tape.
The gain for tape in is right above the sub 3 slider, make sure tape.usb button is in correct position

You want at least a little kick slap. It's part of a good kick sound.
Connect ur powered sub to a Aux so you can control the sub level

No, just different levels of the same effect. For different effects, you need an outboard unit.
Ok on the profx16 v2 how do I come out of the board for Subwoofers ?
Part of the Main, or Use one of the AUX, or use SUB Out
We can't seem to get any volume to go through our Main Speakers. Also can't control the volume with the sliders, either the channel for the individual mics or the Main Slider. I can ONLY lower the Volume by reducing the amount of Gain on each Channel, Why?

whats the difference between the V2 and the V3?
The v2 is the 2nd generation, the v3 is the 3rd generation. The v3 has a different design than the v2.

One of the 12 buttons at the bottom PFL/SOLO pressed? That is what the RUDE/SOLO light is for.

It comes with the standard 3 prong power cable that's used with most audio gear.
