Crowley's the sweetest and most savage at the same time. He goes from "Jump out the window" to "want some cocoa?" within 60 seconds.

I loved the Seamstress bit; it's actually in other Pratchett books as well. In Discworld, there's a formal "Guild of Seamstresses," with one ACTUAL seamstress among them, because sometimes a gentleman doesn't get the innuendo and needs an actual button sewn on. The rest of the steamstresses are very protective of her, and she actually makes a decent amount of money, lol.
That is GENIUS.
Poor Crowley, the definition of a good old-fashioned lover boy, who just wants to protect his angel.
And Aziraphale!You are right. He is perfectly capable. But he just wants to live his Jane Austen,rescued by a dashing demon fantasies. he wasn’t gonna let a hoard of demon stand in his way. He’s been plotting this!
Someday I'm going to write the fanfic about Aziraphale getting the wrong lot of used books and discovering the supernatural bodice-ripper genre
Crowley channeling his inner Kilgrave and telling Gabriel/Jim to jump out the window will always be my favorite part of that scene!
But then he's so sweet that he offers him hot chocolate! It's so adorable.
It makes me kind of sad that, without Heaven's influence, Gabriel is naturally very kind, brave, and funny.
Makes sense... after all, the only templates he has to pattern his behavior on are Aziraphale and Crowley. 😄
I like the idea that Muriel actually would've been able to know Gabriel/James/Jim was Gabriel but they never meet. The miracle was meant to keep people who are looking for Gabriel from knowing that's him, and Muriel wasn't looking for him, she was just supposed to make sure Nina and Maggie fell in love. Super casual looking through the window, two humans dancing, check. Archangel Gabriel glammed out and serving tiny dinners, none of my business
One of my favorite parts of this episode is the fantastic coat Jimbriel comes out in. 🎉

Also the red fez is another Doctor Who reference.
According to Neil, it's actually a Tommy Cooper reference, who was a comedian and magician back in the day before tragically dying on stage, but I can see how it can be seen as a DW ref, seeing as this show has a few of them.

Basically they can’t talk normally and can’t speak words like “prostitute”. The word “seamstress” was used in other Terry Prachet books. It had the same meaning

I love your question about the other archangels working....they do just seem to sit around in heaven and do nothing....at least in hell the demons seems to keep busy scheming, threatening people, feeding them to giant spiders....

Seamstress has to be a reference to Terry Pratchett's Discworld series where ladies of the night shall we say are called seamstresses and have a guild in the main city the books spend alot of time with. Before they had a guild and it was illegal the ladies would carry a basket with sewing equiptment as cover for their activities claiming to be seamstresses and not ladies of the night. But they would also offer to darn a sock as well as giving a tuppeny upright.
Terry Pratchett helped right Good Omens but sadly passed away before seeing this series.

Love that your a Buffy fan! There's a lot of Buffy/ Good Omens crossover fanfiction out there! In the show Angel, we learn that Spike and Angelus used to sleep together, until he got his soul back. In the fanfics, Spike and Crowley have whirlwind romances in 1900's England while they both deal with their respective 'Angel' problems. ...And Crowley really has a thing for Spike's blond hair.😂

In the scene with jump out of the window our lovely demon was just like Killgrave- role of David that I first saw him.

I love how Aziraphale says they'll be all right because Crowley will be back and he loves rescuing Aziraphale. Then Aziraphale comes up with his own plan which doesn't depend on Crowley at all and it WORKS and helps save the day.😊

Is that a portable harpsichord?
Harpsichords are always kind of portable. You always have to bring one, they’re never on location like a piano. My son plays the harp and a concert harp is even heavier than a harpsichord, still you always have to bring your own if you want to give a concert.
