Now I know why they charge so much to fit a decent kitchen. Done right it takes a lot of planning.

Great demo video!!! I'm anxious to redo my kitchen with new cabinets, but the price to have a home improvement place was way too high. This video will be a great help when we do it ourselves!!

Just love your work sir! Its so rare to learn more off a video than in real life. this 30 mins was more useful to me than two days with a "professional" fitter. I would gladly work for you for free for at least a month. perhaps even pay you haha.
seriously could you please do a video of where two wall units make a corner like in this one? also plinth fitting would be helpful. I know similar videos can be found but you just know how to explan stuff. I don't hang doors or skirting any other way than your videos either.
You should consider teaching small groups you could easily charge 600 quid per person for a weekend course.

Dave, thanks for the excellent video. I'm just starting on a DIY kitchen project - so this may seem a daft question...but I'll ask it anyway! I see you've fastened the infill post to the side of one of the carcasses. Yet when it is fitted in place on the other side it will sit on the outside edge of the other unit (running at 90 degrees). This means that the infill on that side will butt against the door - whilst on the other side (where originally fixed) the door edge will be protruding beyond the infill post. Do you ever use blocks to butt the infill the width of a door so that both door edges are hidden? Or is there a reason why this is not done?

You're right Bruce. the doors should be flush on both sides which would have also solved the clearance issue with the pipes

If you'd set the corner post correctly it would have saved you all that messing with the router.

A prime example of bad design. The kitchen doesn't fit. This is exactly what I'd expect though from Howdens. A half decent independant kitchen retailer would explain to the client the errors here. The corner post doesn't line up with the doors on both sides. There's no filler far right. Different sized unit either side of cooker. Sink too close to worktop joint. I could go on. On principle I'd refuse to fit this kitchen. Appalling!
