Look at their Google reviews also- that's what made me feel even more sure about my decision in the run up to my surgery date. I probably watched 101 videos prior to my surgery, lol.
I as well choose Heva because of your detailed videos.. Thank you. I did however fill out a form along with pictures of my head from all angles. They then informed me of the kind of hair loss that I had in each area of my head. Im schedule for my transplant in the new year and im excited. Thank again for your videos.
Just scrolled all the way back to the beginning of my WhatsApp messages with them and can see they DID ask me to complete a health form out prior to giving me a quote. Sorry for the incorrect relocation in this video! The form didn't ask about the cause of my hair loss, but did ask about prior health conditions, allergies, prior transplants etc.
Thx for your video! I just returned to NY from Turkey & agree with you about HEVA. They are extremely professional & caring. I did have a lead technician that spoke some English, but my translator did check in with me quite often. I was given a Valium so at some point I did fall asleep. Why is the graft amount so important when your head is shaved? Just for my own knowledge. I did complete a medical questionnaire when I arrived, and I heard the doctor speaking with the translator about the details of my history. The doctor said that I had traction alopecia. I then told her two times that no, I have androgenetic alopecia, which was diagnosed in blood work back in the states. As far as the aftercare, correct, there was none other than requesting you send pictures. I also agree that it is not right that they don’t call just to check on you, especially when people come from different parts of the world to get to their location. At least make sure that you’re OK with your transport and just being Healthy. That part is off-putting. However, I will recommend Heva clinic to others, and I’ll be giving my own review also and Yelp and Google per their request.
You're welcome! That's good to hear. The graft amount is important as you don't want your donor area (the back of your head) to be thin once your hair starts to grow again. We want the front of our heads to be fixed but not at the expense of the backs of our heads! Glad to hear you completed the medical questionnaire- I think I forgot about that when I filmed and uploaded this video but put it in the pinned comments that in fact they did do the medical questionnaire with me. That's interesting they thought yours was traction alopecia- as I'd expect them to know that some alopecia types need actual blood work done or proper scalp analysis by a trichologist to diagnose. It's a shame that some of us get no aftercare whereas others get some- the service should be consistent. I completely agree! Overall, I'm glad your experience went well- our hair is so important to us!!!!
I’ve just come back from Heva, I changed last minute because I wasn’t satisfied with Longevita. They told me before that they were taking 4000 grafts, i thought that sounded like a lot but they told me it was typical for women. I already don’t have thick hair, so I hope my donor area will grow back ok. I think I’ll do more pfp sessions down the line. As for the translators they had quite a few there on the day, it almost seemed like too many. Loads of people were standing around and it felt like too many cooks. They were very attentive though. I didn’t like that a lot of people kept coming in and out of the room during the procedure and some were on their phones as in having phone calls, which didn’t seem sanitary or professional. I also wish we got more privacy throughout. They seem to have taken on your feedback as they asked about the reason for my hair loss. I agree with what you’ve said, we can’t expect certain standards while in another country. I’m glad I made it out ok and haven’t had any complications so far. Just have to hope for the best now.
Oh wow. From other women's experiences on TH-cam who went to longevita 4000 isn't typical for us, but I guess those who upload videos are only a small pool of the women who actually get transplants. Yes, I hope it does too. Really? Sounds like they've increased the number of translators which is good. Attentiveness is good. Yes, it is a lot of people in and out, but I kinda gave me the impression that they really cared that things went well if you know what I mean. Oh wow- on their phones- that's new! That's great to hear. Yes, pray and hope for the best- you've done it now- well done for being brave!!!
That is actually a good sign. That's normal that a lot of people come in and out, otherwise how you gonna explain any issue or communicate with the team? Would your be prefer to be alone and no help?

Hey. I can't remember off the top of my head, but when I did, I did mention it in my videos, so you may have to look back at them, sorry. Also, when I contacted aftercare about how tight my scalp was feeling they advised that I could have been using aloe vera gel or a light natural oil to alleviate that- if I had known earlier then I would have done.

@@shakiramcgee2023 some clinics don't insist on shaving the recipient area, but you'll need to ask whichever clinic you're considering whether they do UFUE transplants as not all do I believe.
@shakiramcgee2023 you're welcome. I don't really have an opinion on it tbh, but if you're doing a no shave hair transplant (not shaving the rest of your head for it- just the donor area being shaved), then it would be handy to not have your recipient area shaved also, as your hair won't look as weird after the transplant- good for confidence and styling.
Dr Seda drew my hairline, told the techs what to do, and came in and out during the day to check on what the techs were doing and give them more information. A man- I believe it was Dr Ozlem- made my incisions.
@@lavishreacts8010 I'm not sure- please contact them to ask what the differences are between their packages, as they didn't have different packages when I got mine done in March 2023, and it's been a few months since I looked at their new leaflet/pamphlet (don't want to be giving you wrong information).
I know you said they did ask you them questions, but if you had all them reservations why did you go ahead with heva. Also which package did you pick and why? Do you think silver package is fine
I didn't have any reservations going ahead with heva. The things I mention happened on/after the surgery day- not before- and I've added a correction in the comments that they sent me the form prior to me booking my surgery date which was good. All in all, the negatives I mention didn't cloud my overall experience and the positives definitely outweighed the negatives, hence why I don't actually regret going there.
Oh about the package- I think they've updated the packages since I had my surgery, but mine was the sapphire FUE transplant and I was there for 3 nights.
It risks your hair at the back, middle and sides of your head looking thin if they overdo it e.g. when we straighten or relax our hair or wear braids, if too many grafts where taken from the donor area, our hair will look thin. So basically, it may mess up our ability to wear certain styles confidently in future. That's what I meant 👍🏽
So, I paid my deposit via PayPal online if I remember correctly, and then the remainder was paid in cash in person yes- because they say that if you want to pay the rest electronically a Turkish medical charge thing will be added to the total amount- so the whole procedure would end up costing you more- I wasn't willing to pay more than what they quoted me, so I just carried cash and carried it in a bum bag I wore around my waist, so that there was no way I'd get pickpocketed or something!
I went to Heva as well and I did my deposit online and paid Cash in USD since I am from the US. I don't know about other currencies. I'm in day 5 and guys tell me I look great. I had 3800 grafts. But only time will tell. I will need another one if possible due to my baldness in the crown area.
There were multiple people on my head- 2 female technicians, a male made the incisions in the recipient area, and Dr Seda drew my hairline and told them what to do in the morning.
@IntentionalAdulting I remember in a previous video you said the other agency you looked at required a hair test of some sort to determine if you would be a good candidate for the procedure. If doctors determined who was good candidates or not, they would have a lot fewer patients. Also having androgenic alopecia doesn't mean you aren't a good candidate for hair transplant, it means you need to use minoxidil after the transplant to maintain the follicles they transplanted or you risk losing them again.
Yep, but maybe some clinics feel they're skilled enough to be able to tell without doing that test- who knows. It's surprising that they don't ask for the cause of the person's hairloss, and I don't think that merely sending them pictures is enough. They may assess this all from our photos and on the morning of the transplant without actually communicating anything to us, but it would actually make their service better if they provided a thorough consultation and information, even if this only took place on the day of the surgery. The clinics in the UK seemed to have a more thorough consultation process than Heva and longevita.
@IntentionalAdulting doctors in most developed countries would do a consultation and make sure patients are good candidates for hair transplants. I did a consultation in the US to determine if I was a good candidate for a hair transplant. They used advanced technology to determine that. These doctors in Türkiye only care about the money. This is the reason they use a team of technicians so they can maximize their day and perform several procedures in the day as opposed to focusing on one patient. I paid a lot more than the average person does when they go to Türkiye because I didn't have a team of technicians and the doctor couldn't perform multiple procedures for 2 days. The reality is they don't care about their patients, they are just hoping for a positive outcome after they perform the procedure so they can gain more patients through social media and videos such as yours that provide free promotion.
@IntentionalAdulting Also, if you aren't talking to a real clinic, but a fake clinic acting as a middleman, they don't know to ask these questions because they aren't medical professionals. But I am sure your clinic which is a middleman may start doing it now that you said it in your video and they reached out to you after seeing it.
Maybe I’m slow but idk how they transplant the hair. So they pull your hair out then put it back in a different place? But wouldn’t you be bald in the original place
Yeah, they take it out the back and put it in the front. Yes, the scalp will be bald where they take the hairs out, so that's why it's really important that they don't take too many hairs otherwise it'll be really noticeable!
I just returned from HEVA last Monday. Today I am 11 days post-op. They weren’t perfect (who is?), but they did a good job and I’m happy with the results. I’ve watched several of your videos. You do complaint alot, but I give you credit for recognizing and acknowledging that.

@@ForeverSolidJay I got the gold package. No need to convert. They will put your cash in a money counter at the clinic. When I went they told me not to bring any $50 bills because they are having problems with fake ones being circulated around Turkey, so I took all $100 bills with me. I never had any problems or felt unsafe. I only used my debit card for room service after my procedure. The day of my procedure I met half a dozen others of African descent at the clinic. Some were from the states like me. Others were from England, Canada, Ethiopia. About half were men and half women. You won’t feel alone. Just be advised it will probably take all day. I didn’t need a full transplant. I just needed my hairline lowered (big forehead) and a beard transplant and it took eight hours. I don't really have an opinion on it tbh, but if you're doing a no shave hair transplant (not shaving the rest of your head for it- just the donor area being shaved), then it would be handy to not have your recipient area shaved also, as your hair won't look as weird after the transplant- good for confidence and styling.
What kind of involvement did the doctor have during operation ?
Dr Seda drew my hairline, told the techs what to do, and came in and out during the day to check on what the techs were doing and give them more information. A man- I believe it was Dr Ozlem- made my incisions.
@@TheWellnessAbbey ok so the only difference between the silver and gold package is the incision part ?
I’m a bit confused what’s the issue with taking more from your donor area? Isn’t that the point aha
Just be grateful that you got your edges back. Too much complaining. Be grateful 😇 Edges look amazing
Thank you!! X
Can I ask, was it a doctor or technician that did you hair
I didn't ask that information, so I don't know know for sure, I'm afraid. They didn't explain who each person and/or their roles were.
Aww ok, where can I see a video of your donor area, without it in twist?
All of the videos prior to this one have my donor area un-twisted! Hope that helps!
Can you tell me about your payment process? I am worried about carrying cash.
What doctor did yours?
There were multiple people on my head- 2 female technicians, a male made the incisions in the recipient area, and Dr Seda drew my hairline and told them what to do in the morning.
They weren't going to ask you about your hair loss because they were going to do your transplant no matter what because you paid them.
Not good! They should be asking this during the consultation stage.
@@TheWellnessAbbeywhy can’t they just cut the hair from the donor area instead of pulling it out?
The follicle needs to be transplanted otherwise new hair won't grow in the recipient area. Hair grows from a follicle 👍🏽
Your hair is growing just fine be happy.what are u worried about
Thanks!
Fut or fue?
FUE
Thanks for the info 👍
Can i get the HEVA contact 🙏
You're welcome! Their websites in the description box. Alternatively, instagram.com/hevaclinic?igshid=MzRlODBiNWFlZA==
I just returned from HEVA last Monday. Today I am 11 days post-op. They weren’t perfect (who is?), but they did a good job and I’m happy with the results. I’ve watched several of your videos. You do complaint alot, but I give you credit for recognizing and acknowledging that.
@@windycity258 that's good to hear! Wishing you a speedy and successful recovery. Thanks for the constructive feedback- it's good to be reminded of what I need to work on to be more positive in life.
I’m going too in may. What package deal should I get? Also I’m in the US so is USD cash okay to pay with or do I need to convert it to a different currency?
The anesthesia is painful, but not as painful as people make you think. Hope this helps, but hit me up if you have any other questions. I just removed my scabs a couple of days ago. This was one of the best decisions I ever made. Good luck!!
@@TheWellnessAbbey no problem. Thanks for not being offended. In the year leading up to my transplant I watched your videos as well as others. They helped a lot!! In fact, you’ve probably helped a bunch of people and don’t even know it..
@@ForeverSolidJaymy appt with Heva is booked for next month. They told me they accept USD cash so you don’t have to convert your money. They don’t accept $50 bills though.
👍🏾👍🏾👍🏾
I feel like from your story, my story, and other people's stories, it seems like these Turkish surgeons lack boundaries and respect for autonomy.
☹️
why would you still recommend them to people with all of what you said??. what you said is very important, no one should do their hair with a company that dont ask information etc. Its not a good clinic from your analyse, so please dont recommend them.
They did ask for information- see the pinned comment.
Don't exaggerate.
