However, it's interesting to notice that the only emotion Kel really expresses strongly is rage. Even when angry, he looks more annoyed than genuiely angry. Which is fitting, as someone who's not used to being angry would express this emotion more strongly than most. Aubrey expresses her emotions very strongly. She's very sensitive and it shows. He barely shows any emotions whatsoever, even when enraged. Which eventually caused all of his emotions to burst when he screamed horrible things at Kel. That's also why he was at his lowest point when he shouted at Kel, because he didn't act like himself. Sunny/Omori's emotions are all out of whack, which is logical since his mind is dealing with guilt and psychosis. He's unstable. He doesn't experience emotions the same way others do. Even when feeling miserable, he doesn't cry. Whether because he's used to it or because he never allowed himself to cry. When he's overly happy, he's manic. Exactly lol Manic Omori seems like he is doing something completely depraved and enjoying the hell out of it. Angry Omori is going to fucking murder you at the first chance he gets with no fear of consequences. Miserable Omori barely changes his normal expression. Guess that means something.
@@Rickfernello Actually ... Angry Omori wants to beat the heck out of you and furious Omori wants to murder you Recklessly.... Regardless I'd have a shield for both Manic and furious Omori 😅
It's funny how the most expressive of all is Omori who always put a poker face. Meanwhile Kel and Aubrey has quite expressive face and then there is Hero who is just slightly happy, sad, or angry which makes me laugh.
@@FracturedPhantasm Kel would have the scariest fucking face out of all of them, bro he'd be scarier than the infected Jennifer in Slaughterhouse 3, and scarier than the creation of Midinoise itself. Since Aubrey is innocent, she cannot truly express her emotions rather than being one of the most expressive besides Omori in the group. It'd still be scary, but nowhere near as scary as Kel's. Hero would be the least scary, but still damn scary. It does my soul good to see Hero properly expressing, but kinda unfitting for him
Whenever Omori emotes, it’s like there’s nothing behind it. Just him pretending to express things, and even mimicking whatever he sees. All while over-compensating for the fact he’s pretty much emotionless.
I dunno, I get the exact opposite feeling, like the cold emotionless persona of his is just a facade for bottled up feelings he can't properly express without looking like some kind of maniac
Idk. I feel like it's the opposite (like the previous comment stated) Otherwise why would he have a third stage when no one else does. Just that fact alone makes it seem as if his emotions are actually heightened compared to everyone else which would make sense since he bottles it up constantly. That's just my take on it though being someone who also does this.
It might be a combo of both of them When he does the two stages for each, they do have a controlled look to them, like how he doesn't have tears in his eyes for the second stage of sadness while the others do I think the third stage is him letting it all out instead of mimicking cause there's no one to mimic So both hold weight imo
I went through the game without seeing Omori’s third stage emotions (but I knew he had them), and I thought the whole time that the last stage to Happy would be Guilty, for some reason
Imagine if sunny put up the same face as manic imprint when he fights Aubrey and pull out his knife or when Aubrey pushes basil into the lake sunny puts up the same face as furious initial and attacks Aubrey
@Stupider and Spookier hero, afraid, cooks up the sprout mole and thus, they were created into stinky food and then omori got the unused scared emotion

I can't do anything right, I just ruined my whole life and all of my friends' because I was careless and selfish... Furious: *You have 10 seconds to live.*
That's a good detail to note~, but I don't think they are closely related. The black things moreso seem to represent his fears and emotional complications towards certain people or things (●´ω`●)💝
usually the shade covering someone's eyes indicates tension within that person, especially if their mouth doesn't show any emotion whatsoever. And there you have one eye that just stares at you out of that shade and you know that he's pissed
Nah, thats an artstyle thing that is just common with anime in general It gives an impression of viewing him from the bottom while he stares down at us,,, makes him much more intimidating.
you mean you obsess over a blood-thirsty savage, a boy that seems like they would commit self deletetus right in front of you and someone that would kill you off the spot?
Manic omori: about to rip someone apart limb by limb just for fun Miserable omori: wants to curl up into a ball and die Furious omori: will kill everyone in sight with no remorse
Unfortunately they are not really worth it. Manic Omori is the most useful because combining it with a hit rate item allows him to basically always Crit and go first. Furious makes it so that most attacks from equally levelled enemies and bosses can one shot him. Miserable makes him take no damage but he loses most of his juice if he gets hit and he can't deal much damage without skills.
I never ran into a situation that would’ve caused 3rd tier emotions for anyone but Omori, so I had just assumed everyone had them until seeing this video.
@@brobuscus4882 howdy! I'm from the future! The opposite of what this guy says is true. Manic Omori sucks because he has other ways to guarantee crit without fucking his hit rate. Also, he already out speeds everything. So Happy/Manic Omori is actually quite literally the worst Omori because it nerfs his hit rate and gives him buffs he doesn't benefit from. Even boosted Lucky Strike is garbage, because the damage is weaker than Stab's and it costs way more. The priority isn't even helpful (outside of getting Chicken Ball) because Omori already outspeeds everything that isn't Kel. Furious Omori is by far the strongest Omori. Omori already has a very high attack stat and very hard hitting skills. Furthermore, the defense reduction is completely inconsequential because you are supposed to have Aubrey and Hero tank with Counter and Mesmerize. Doing this, you have a completely roided out Omori who can't take damage because he is untargetable. Sad Omori isnt nearly as good as Mad Omori, but he's definitely way better than Glad Omori because at Sad Omori gets guaranteed crits that ignore defense, rather than a higher chance to crit... and miss. Sad Omori gets guaranteed crits and still outspeeds, only difference is he doesn't miss and takes less damage. Still, you're much better off just nuking everything with Furious Omori and Enraged (because once again happiness is garbage bc hit rate, and Enraged Kel hits harder than Happy Kel, even when you're speed scaling) run n gun chicken ball Kel, while Aubrey and Hero keep everyone safe.
@@mr.cup6yearsago211 I think during space ex-boyfriends fight or something I got a third tier on omori and since my strategy in the game was just to make Aubrey pissed and nuke everything, I spent ages trying to get furious on her lol.
Dreamworld emotions belike: *Everyone else* Happy: Yeah! So fun~~ Sad: Aww man... Not like this Angry: Look at what have you done!!! *OMORI* Manic: Your useless struggle makes me satisfied Miserable: I should just die Furious: You have 5 seconds left to make a testament and say your last will
spoiler when you realize everyone's best emotions are how they coped with mari's death. sadness's defense increase is good for hero, anger turns aubery into a glass cannon, happiness makes kel speedy af and run n' gun hits like a dumptruck,
This is probably a coincidence, but I just noticed something interesting. You can only see Omori's left eye when he's furious. Meanwhile Sunny's right eye later in the story... There's also the fact that miserable Omori's eyes are white just like in Sunny's video tape.
Interesting that Stressed Out doesn’t seem to be included in the isolated datamine linked in the description. Wonder if the game treats it differently internally.
Man oh man... STRESSED OUT. The first time I saw it, I had mad shivers. Idk, I just felt that the potrayal for when Sunny's backed up into wall and is extremely distressed to be really cool. Of course, I wont deny that the situation itself is extremely disturbing, but I just like the illustration. Also, maybe it's like Afraid, where you can only gain the status through plot points, or in this case, the climax, and that's why it's seperated from the other emotions? (I have no idea how stuff is stored so I'm just speculating lol)
Lol, Hero's still bottles his emotions up, even his second tier he will try his best, but omori with his third tier emotions XD They're so creepy and that's what makes them amazing
oh i see. ok so, ONLY Omori can reach the 3rd emotion stages which are Manic, Miserable and Furious. while the rest of his friends can get their emotion stages to 2.
Omori seems to be more susceptible to strong emotions, going from ecstatic and directly to manic. Or from enrages straight to furious. Or from flat out sad to absolutely depressed. He seems always one emotion stronger than the other three
Things you should do in order to deal with 3rd level emotions Manic: Just smile back... Miserable: Hug them, that wasn’t a choice Furious: Just keep running
Maybe they didn’t include them because they would count as spoilers? Because Afraid only appears during plot points, so it could definitely be a spoiler.
as said earlier, Afraid appears in certain plot points, but it also appears in Pyrefly Forest because Hero's scared of spiders, and in specific Hikikomori Route-only battles Stressed Out _only_ appears at the end of the game though, so i understand why that wasn't included
So basically: *Aubrey:* Happy/ecstatic: Looks like a child who just got offered a lollipop Sad/depressed: Cute but also sad Enraged: She’s so angry she’s crying, how sad *Hero:* Happy/ecstatic: Wide grin Sad, depressed, angry, and enraged: Hides it well. I can imagine talking to himself, “calm down, calm down, *keep it cool, it’s all good..*” *Kel:* Happy/ecstatic: wide grin, all nice Sad/depressed: visible pain Angry: annoyed Engraged: he looks like he wants to dropkick the enemy *Omori:* Happy, Sad, and Angry: all cute Ecstatic: you alright there bud? Enraged: wants to wring necks Manic: Looks like he wants to throw you on glass and hear your screams Miserable: *d e p r e s s i o n* Furious: *He is 100 meters from your location and approaching rapidly, start running.*
I think Omori's face expressions are NOT his real expressions, but what he thinks how they looked. I mean, he obviously only remembers the faces of his friends, not his own face. And while being super shy, he thinks that in the past he looked not as cute as his friends, probably even thinks that he was the obnoxious one in their group who did not deserve friends like that. Though in reality he was just like all the others. That's his distorted self-perception .
Wow, Sunny/Omori's expressions... Real World Aubrey despite being a delinquent and using a freaking bat, Sunny really is a knife-wielding psychopath. ._. Is he going to be okay...? D: I'm in the middle of seeing a playthrough and it's on the spider forest part... Honestly, some aspects of this game actually kind of reminds me of End Roll. :p

It's funny how the most expressive of all is Omori who always put a poker face. Meanwhile Kel and Aubrey has quite expressive face and then there is Hero who is just slightly happy, sad, or angry which makes me laugh.

@@FracturedPhantasm
Makes sense, i mean, just like Sunny, he bottled it up for a long time
@@FracturedPhantasm Kel would have the scariest fucking face out of all of them, bro he'd be scarier than the infected Jennifer in Slaughterhouse 3, and scarier than the creation of Midinoise itself.
Since Aubrey is innocent, she cannot truly express her emotions rather than being one of the most expressive besides Omori in the group. It'd still be scary, but nowhere near as scary as Kel's.
Hero would be the least scary, but still damn scary. It does my soul good to see Hero properly expressing, but kinda unfitting for him
@@elizabethramirezthezenshii9691 Midinoise?
@@yellowpower3755 Yep. Even that.
This both speculations just so much fit to Omori's character
These two theories could go either way tbh.
It might be a combo of both of them
When he does the two stages for each, they do have a controlled look to them, like how he doesn't have tears in his eyes for the second stage of sadness while the others do
I think the third stage is him letting it all out instead of mimicking cause there's no one to mimic
So both hold weight imo
omori always has a third one to those emotions- they all look terrifying too- especially the manic one 😭

what are you doing here
didn't know Omori had 3rd tier emotions

0:30 Sweet mother of god, that is way more than a happy face. A murderous intent i should say
Omori seems to be more susceptible to strong emotions, going from ecstatic and directly to manic. Or from enrages straight to furious. Or from flat out sad to absolutely depressed. He seems always one emotion stronger than the other three
Things you should do in order to deal with 3rd level emotions
Manic: Just smile back...
Miserable: Hug them, that wasn’t a choice
Furious: Just keep running
you are forgetting afraid => stressed out
Maybe they didn’t include them because they would count as spoilers? Because Afraid only appears during plot points, so it could definitely be a spoiler.
as said earlier, Afraid appears in certain plot points, but it also appears in Pyrefly Forest because Hero's scared of spiders, and in specific Hikikomori Route-only battles
