That's why it's called a challenge. Besides, all the food he bought would have only cost $25 in the Midwest. The laws the liberals pass in California make things more expensive. Why? Gas. Gas is $6 a gallon, which means the cost of freight and shipping increasing. Gas in the Midwest is $2.50 a gallon. Also, we don't tax the shit out of stuff.
I agree with your food choices. Btw, it's even more difficult here in Hawaii to get the most bang for your buck when it comes to food shopping due to the cost of living here.
Here in Miami you definitely can. You can get a whole meal with chicken breast, rice, fried plantains, and beans for like $8. That will last you the whole day.

13 years of marriage and 5 kids have definitely taught me a lot in terms of shopping. we do our grocery shopping at winco and can feed everyone very well on an average of 65 bucks per week. We only buy chicken when its on sale (typically safeway when they have it on for 1.44 per pound) and we load up...and I mean LOAD up (the chest freezer will be packed). So that cost gets spread over a few months. granted our kids age span is 1-11 but they get what they want and I'm also eating heartily as well. of course we go over that average here and there but more often than not we come in under 70 each week. The store also definitely determines how far your 50 bucks (or whatever amount you pick) will go. loved the video and loving the cutting series!!!!

This video proves that you can get the right nutrition without spending a substantial amount of money. As many of the other comments say, I spend ~$40 each week for my lunches and dinners. The only addition I would recommend would be to invest in good spices and/or sauces (hot sauce, sriracha, etc.) Eating the same meals within a 5 or 6 day period can take a toll on your taste buds. Sauces/spices do a good job of mixing it up and help prevent taste aversion. Cheers!

So I'm surprised the total cost for all these particular items almost came to his same total of $48.86. $71 is usually more than I can afford to spend on food, but I'm glad I've seen just what you can get for that much. It might come in handy!
Whole chickens are usually $99cents/lb and on sale for as little as $69cents/lb. Canned wild caught salmon has more omega 3, no PCBs and supports American fishing jobs.
Awesome video, one thing I’ve learned about grocery shopping cheap is less variety in the diet means less money spent. Obviously you have to strike a balance and find a spot that you enjoy, so a cost/variety ratio that works for you. But a low option diet is the cheapest if you don’t mind the lack of choices.
I am trying to lose what I gained during these holidays 😣. I am doing intermittent fasting and have already lost 10 lbs. I start eating at 11am and stop at 7pm. I workout at 10pm and dont eat anything other than drink water after my workout. Should I be eating or drinking a shake afterwards? I can't workout within those 8 hrs of eating cause of work. I dont eat anything after my workout, because I figured that would defeat the purpose of intermittent fasting. Am I wrong and I hope I made some sense. Thx Buff Dudes
You don’t need to do intermittent fasting at all.... Calories in, calories out. Eat healthy Drink lots of water. I’ve lost 10 pounds in 2 months. And I’m not super strict on my diet because i go to restaurants and family dinners a couple times a week.
I eat as cheap as possible as a student. Lots of frozen veg, chicken thigh fillets, frozen whitefish, eggs, white rice, yogurt, pasta, peanut butter, oats, semi-skimmed milk. My flatmates ask me every day if I'll get bored of chicken and rice.
something that would've helped you immensely is not shopping at safeway. i've never done the math but if i had to guess i get an extra 10-20% value of my money shopping at walmart or winco. and if you have a local meatshop you can tend to get bulk meats for lower costs and just freeze it.
I like Buff Dudes but they are so bros in the worst way. I eat GOOD, atleast .5 lb of beef .5lb of chicken, eggs, veggies, fruits, a quart of milk a day and snacks for less then $100 every 2 weeks. I swear prices just went up so Iam hitting towards $100 now and before I paid like $80 every 2 weeks for 2 years. Throw in protein powder and I easily have over 200 grams of clean protein a day. Ive been considering making cooking videos to help some guys out, I graduated culinary school and have some experience professionally, so I think I can really help others cook good food for reasonable prices.
Justin Y’s Receptionist to be honest you can get internet for 50 bucks a month if you’re fine getting the super slow shit and it’s only just for one person.
Nice video, love how you guys cover all aspects to fitness, not just focus on the exercising and such but give tips on how to shop as well. I honestly think shopping and portioning out food is the hardest part for me. I am so used to just tossing whatever I find on the stove or whatever when I feel hungry rather than planning out what I eat and how much of it I eat. I am also not that great of a cook, especially when it comes to chicken. I've come to really dislike the stuff because I can't make chicken breasts taste even remotely palatable without somehow adding unnecessary calories or relying on salt for flavoring (the latter I am definitely wary of as I've had hyper tension in the past) Sweet potatoes are thankfully something I've grown up with as they are a bit of a staple when your family is mostly from the southern US. I'm partial to a few sprinklings of cinnamon and nutmeg though on my fries.
I spend like 120 euros per month lol. Rice, chicken, beef, vegetables, eggs, fruits, some dairy like cheese and yoghurt also snacks like chips or cheap cheesecake
John Lees hey guys today we're doing a video where i do the 50$ per week challenge. Ok guys i just spent 48.90$ on protein and then i bought 1 snickers thanks for watching and stay buff!!!!
You don't really need protein powder for your shake. Throw in some oats, milk, natural yogurt, nuts, peanut butter etc. That's all the protein you need. Add in a banana for some extra carbs and you're good to go.
Ha ha @ Upular, don't worry little guy, take it from me, when you get a little bit older you'll start to look at people differently (girls and boys, although probably boys in your case), and you'll start to have these strange feelings, yearnings. Don't worry about it too much, it's perfectly natural, going to bed with another boy/lots of boys will feel a bit strange at first, but I'm sure you'll come to love it. And it'll probably bring you and dad closer together too.

Obviously you have to strike a balance and find a spot that you enjoy, so a cost/variety ratio that works for you. But a low option diet is the cheapest if you don’t mind the lack of choices.
I only spend around £30 a week or less and im a bodybuilder
Chicken
Rice
Frozen veg
Apples
Bananas
Cereal
Milk
Orange Juice
Smoothie
scorpion1129 Gaming that's interesting
Only negative is that u have to eat chicken rice and veg everyday
I recommend you go more into variety. Chicken shouldn't be the only meat available.
Another 90 days to change this probably, just chicken is so cheap, easy and low in fat
tilapia is cheap.
I'm in college full time working part time to support myself. Welcome to my life m8
Thx Buff Dudes
fencerider u HAVE to eat carbs and proteins after ur workout.
Jo No Thx for the reply, u are definitely right. Been reading more into it and everybody says what u are saying.
Matt Bernstein Damn thats impressive. Thats my target too 175. Thx for the advice Matt, I will get in it.
You don’t need to do intermittent fasting at all....
Calories in, calories out.
Eat healthy
Drink lots of water.
I’ve lost 10 pounds in 2 months.
And I’m not super strict on my diet because i go to restaurants and family dinners a couple times a week.
I’m glad he called her out
WHERE.IS.THE.BEARD!!?????
I eat as cheap as possible as a student. Lots of frozen veg, chicken thigh fillets, frozen whitefish, eggs, white rice, yogurt, pasta, peanut butter, oats, semi-skimmed milk. My flatmates ask me every day if I'll get bored of chicken and rice.
0:50 I got scared
Jaime santiago how the fuck did she not see a truck right next to her smh
Oh shit, first time i saw him ATCUALLY mad. Scary stuff...
something that would've helped you immensely is not shopping at safeway. i've never done the math but if i had to guess i get an extra 10-20% value of my money shopping at walmart or winco. and if you have a local meatshop you can tend to get bulk meats for lower costs and just freeze it.
Yeah Safeway is literally the most expensive grocery store in my whole area.
"You wanna watch your door next time?" 😂👌
you got one like for confronting the lady about the door ding lmao
I live on less every week it's called being poor.
Captain Mayhem oh booh hoo you’re not poor enough to be off the internet
@@masterbroda3838 Public library?
@@silentk59 definitely make some cooking videos, you'll help us out
Justin Y’s Receptionist to be honest you can get internet for 50 bucks a month if you’re fine getting the super slow shit and it’s only just for one person.
I've come to really dislike the stuff because I can't make chicken breasts taste even remotely palatable without somehow adding unnecessary calories or relying on salt for flavoring (the latter I am definitely wary of as I've had hyper tension in the past)
Sweet potatoes are thankfully something I've grown up with as they are a bit of a staple when your family is mostly from the southern US. I'm partial to a few sprinklings of cinnamon and nutmeg though on my fries.
Under cooked chicken placed immediately into a fridge is a big no-no! Gordon Ramsay would be pissed.
If Brandon confronted me in the parking lot in the grocery store, I’d probably say sorry and go home and cry
3:50 :-(
the same chicken can lay brown and white eggs. It has to do with minerals. Factories separate them to make them more appealing to the eye.
50 dollars can be 2 months of food on the right country
:(
On africa
I loved the joke about chocolat milk ... healthy food ALWAYS!
In my country, you can live for a month with $50 😅
MrHimitsu86 i want to move to your country 👍💪
Matty P plot twist: average income is 200 a month in that country.
Oh so you’re in one of the countries that trump was talking about
Josh Johnston that country Guatemala?
in my country you could live for a year
I spend like 120 euros per month lol. Rice, chicken, beef, vegetables, eggs, fruits, some dairy like cheese and yoghurt also snacks like chips or cheap cheesecake
Throw bananas in a protein shake? Sure, but you didn't buy protein powder with your budget
i guess as protein shake is a supplement and they buy that each month
John Lees hey guys today we're doing a video where i do the 50$ per week challenge. Ok guys i just spent 48.90$ on protein and then i bought 1 snickers thanks for watching and stay buff!!!!
You don't really need protein powder for your shake. Throw in some oats, milk, natural yogurt, nuts, peanut butter etc. That's all the protein you need. Add in a banana for some extra carbs and you're good to go.
I think he made it with the almond milk
4:20 GoldenEye 007 N64 bad guys dying sound! love it!
The eggs are so cheap over there. Over here in australia its like $8 for a dozen.
$8?!?!Do you guys eat golden eggs over there?!
Damn lol. At my Walmart you can buy a dozen for $1.79.
It's because HowToBasic has been hogging all the egg supply.
Alex Carter yeah legit not even joking
StaticDreamsEntert lmao when i saw the prices for the eggs over there i was stunned
Best video on you tube Buff Dudes
Why do I like this guy more than the other one
Upular he’s less dramatic/animated
Upular bruh
The other one is very sleep deprived lately.
Karim how do you call him better looking then call me gay lol
Ha ha @ Upular, don't worry little guy, take it from me, when you get a little bit older you'll start to look at people differently (girls and boys, although probably boys in your case), and you'll start to have these strange feelings, yearnings. Don't worry about it too much, it's perfectly natural, going to bed with another boy/lots of boys will feel a bit strange at first, but I'm sure you'll come to love it. And it'll probably bring you and dad closer together too.
The sweet potatoes don’t need to be in a baking dish. You could bake them straight on the rack although it is a good idea to wrap them in foil first.
