Wow, exciting news!!! I'm trying to think of all the amazing applications for this tech. It's crazy to think of how much time I spend navigating my phone's UI and typing stuff. What a moment when at last, those tasks will be actionable in a far more intuitive and 'in flow' manner. 🤯You've done it again, Pete. I'd be lost at sea without you.

Sorry, but this video sounded more like an Apple PR. E.g., ChatGPT wss more like an afterthought in the presentation. Given Apple's culture to never relinquish control of its UX, how is it going to integrate with a system that by default needs to connect to all users data?
There is so much excitement about something you can't try yet. A lot of this won't be available until the end of the year. I heard nothing that would convince me to move to that platform. Android has been promising these same features for about 10 years. Let's wait to see what happens.
It is a massive phase change for Apple and the world to be honest.
One note is that Apple has its own servers with its own larger model that the phones can call on too.
By default Siri will decide between on-device processing or using Apple's "secure servers" to complete the request.
ChatGPT only comes in if Apple's cloud models are also insufficient. And later, Claude and Gemini are likely to be equally presented options as well (but perhaps by then Apple's own models will have caught up...)
So Google and Anthropic ARE the losers here, but not by much and not for long
We can all agree though that the real losers are Humane and Rabbit (but they were losers from the beginning anyway 😅)
What happens to terms and conditions before sleeping in bed an enemy. Apple has sold everyone to OpenAi
The main features won't be processed by Open AI at all, duh.
watch WWDC before you comment dude. 99% will be om device and on Apple's private cloud compute. ChatGPT will only be asked if Apple cant. It's completely separate...and more AI will be available like Gemini in lieu of ChatGPT
