  • Hi everyone! This week I'll be polishing up the 1960 Plymouth Fury and getting ready to start putting the trim back on the car! It's been a long road, but the car is looking nice and I can't wait to put it all back together!
My Newport backs up now (sorry I forgot to show itlast time, haha), and now it needs the charging system sorted out!
. Thanks also to everyone who subscribed to our channel here, and thanks also for all of your "likes" and comments! We do appreciate that anyone would take the time to leave us a note. If you would like to help keep our channel going, you can get a sticker, hat or a coffee mug at:

"Alberta!" sez he with a grin,
Where I sinned me original sin.
      The deed was so bold,
      Or so I've been told,
That it ain't been allowed once again.
The Unknown Poet Formerly Known As The Unknown Poet, JPL
Editor's note:. Well, The Poet sez he was up to Alberta once and it was so cold his dick froze and fell off, and now he ain't got no dick. I can believe half that story.

It's satisfying to see the donning of her jewelry and badging. When you re-installed the Plymouth nose lettering, I remembered the '56 Plymouth from my youth. I rearranged the hood letters to read "OL THUMPY" because it was descriptive of her condition and seemed like a good idea at the time. Funny how stuff from almost 60 years ago stays in a guy's head, eh? Rock on.

Yep, no painting robots like today. An assembly line worker for this car probably had 60 to 70 seconds to complete a job...so one worker on each side installed the two rear medallions. Perhaps one worker put the individual letters on the hood followed by another worker down the line tightening those letters from inside the hood....all in the same 60-70 seconds.

All of the documentation on the hood was great. It is all about the documentation. That is the best part. I collect vintage nonsense especially if these is an original box and docs. Last year, I started collecting old watches. First, I was buying just the watches, then it became watches with original boxes, then it became boxes that just happened to have watches inside them, and next I presume it will just be the box. The vintage watch boxes or cases were pieces of art with great style. It is a sickness. Great show as usual.

The Fury was definitely worth the extra work. Coming along so nicely. Love the Citroen as well. Love watching your work progress. And yes, I do have quite a good idea as to what it takes. I've painted a few cars, but on the fly so to speak, usually while driving them, hoping to find a calm day to give them a good spray. maybe some day I'll be able to do a car under better conditions like yours. Thanks for sharing. Yeah, I'd like to see the cars in the garage alive again. So many things. I'm still having my hands full getting this apartment done and then I have an '82 Yamaha 920 Virago to spruce up a bit. Guy said it had carb problems. It came with 2 tanks and both had overspray inside.

rich melillo when a car is classic, in some areas you’re allowed to run vintage plates. Some areas allow you to have vintage era plates on the car, and the current ones in the car. Some areas only require a rear tag so the front can be anything.

The Fury seems to glow now with that glass - like finish ! The letters on the hood appear to float , Virgil E is Excited I bet to be looking upon his once forgotten forlorn design masterpiece from the heavens being revived. Surprise entry for Winter Beater Challenge appears to be the Newport. AL must have given up on the Granada, had hoped to see it compete against Dean's LTD... Ahhh yes.....once you start bolting the chrome back on it's hard to stop. It's so cool that people have donated parts to help complete the Fury. I've never even paid attention to any 60 Fury before this series started but now I totally understand the obsession. That being said.....I don't ever want to work on one. 😂

Sounds like we missed a lot of great dialogue in that time-lapse based on what I heard! Thanks for the tip on minding the corners, I remember making those scratches!

I always enjoy the video's. My preference would be to rebuild the Frazer . Oh, I know I have brought this up before. You may ask, but why the Frazer? Is it worth investing time and resources in? My answer would be, because "the old girl" deserves it. She looks great on tee shirts, you have already done the interior and a lot of other mechanical work, she could serve as both a winter beater and a nice summer ride. She's perfect for that late night refreshment and chip run. She can take the rough terrain, lots of room for Frankers and Agents, she has charm and could be used for a variety of purposes, and the women(s) love her.

P.S. The Fury looks great. She is going to be a real beauty with the chrome on her.

Love the Hudson. The getaway car from Swamp Women (1956). The most fun Mike Connors ever had.

I've had excellent results with PB Blaster. Squirt some on, wait a few, appyly (mild and gradually increasing) torque. Works well. Greetings from Georgia, USA. I remember snow and -20F cold from youth in suburban Cleveland, Ohio. Keep on keepin' on!

Me personally, I want to hear everything you have to say! If I could slow down your "speeding up Fast Forward" I would to hear what you said! Hudson and Kaiser? Why not! Thanks for your efforts and experience you're sharing!
