For the first time accused child abuser Malka Leifer has faced court in Australia after a protracted extradition process from Israel.

Her lawyers say the 54-year-old has "significant mental health issues" and needs "special arrangements" while in custody.
She's facing 74 charges, including child rape, which date back to the mid 2000's.
