It makes me happy that you shared what made you grateful, while still accepting that it’s hard. That’s why I keep watching you. Thank you for your thank yous!
The blue vest outfit was really cute! There def is so much hard work that goes into preparing for this event, really fun, but cool to see everything that goes into the process!
The medical name is orthostatic or postural syncope. Happens at church, graduations, weddings or at events when standing a long time. More common if one keeps the knees "locked." This pools the blood in the leg veins. A person who stands long enough in one place will faint
I've had a recent shift too when it comes to existential concepts that used to keep me up at night. It used to make me feel ill but now the thoughts come and they pass quickly without a visceral repulsion reflex. So that's nice for us.
@@Eliszzyy hahaha I was sick for a couple of weeks but other than that I cannot think of anything that 'happened' for this shift to occur. Perhaps being sick highlighted how important health is and now I'm grateful to be feeling 100% again? Not sure. Would do shrooms to test.
Glad you’re okay allegro! I fainted at a Julien Baker concert in Vancouver a few years ago. Helped with my anxiety and panic afterwards as well. I just felt more clear headed. I don’t know how to really explain it. Proud of you for going back the next day 💓
OMG! That story is terrifying Allegra, I was nervous to hear you talk about it. Glad you’re taking care of yourself. It’s hard to do that in the moment because we always prioritize work 😫
Thank you for your positive outlook on your experience at Coachella/Revolve. I've seen so many influencers complaining about all the things instead of being grateful for the experience, especially since a lot of people are unable to afford or travel to go. Also glad you are healthy! XOXO
passing out often happens when you're standing still for a long amount of time and the blood pools at the bottom of your feet and you lose circulation. That's why lots of people faint during church, presentations, concerts, standing in lines at the airport, anywhere where you have to stand for a long period of time in one spot.
I have low blood pressure and I pass out pretty easily during any kind of stress. You feel nauseous and panicky right before and then you get sort of clamy & sweaty and then drop, that’s really what this sounds like imo, I would just keep an eye on your blood pressure and maybe look into iron supplements
I have the same problem! If it’s blood pressure then I feel sick to my stomach and start sweating right before I pass out. Iron supplements definitely help, I have been put on prescription supplements before.
I’ve passed out three different times at three different events completely sober. Not dehydrated one was at the beginning while the dj was still playing lol one in the middle, I do remember specifically thinking about time and how eternal minutes can feel and how dreadful and scary it is to be stuck in one terrible moment you can’t get out of and then poof, I was on the floor lol.
OMG the way you described the situation is so similar to what happened at me but at church of all places lmao 😭 out of nowhere i just felt heat, heart pounding so past, and started to lose my vision even though i could hear everything fine. Luckily my mom was there but tbh i could not walk by myself at all when i tried and probably looked like a rag doll being dragged across the aisle. Super weird experience. Grandmas probably thought i had a rough night out 😂😭
I passed out at the last Carbiana. I have low blood sugar. And when I don’t eat enough or drink enough I will faint. Last time I fainted was at the beginning of pandemic 😷 and ended getting four stitches in my eyebrow area. Glad your okay.
I get really bad vasovagal syncope and it’s so frustrating that I literally can’t control it. I will feel totally fine but something could randomly trigger it and then I’m on the ground unable to see. I can relate to that helpless feeling of passing out - I’m so glad that Jonathan was with you and that you’re ok! Sounds like you have good people around you 💛
Thank God you crouched down when your vision went wonky, so many horrible jaw & head injuries happen from falling and hitting hard surfaces. Also with fainting its so instinctual to immediately help the person up when thats actually the last thing you should do. Best thing to do is to get the person electrolytes or water and keep them laying/sitting down resting for at least 15 - 20 minutes before attempting to help them up. Dehydration & exhaustion-traveling and festivaling is hard on the sleep cycle and the body -and if you had any stress that could all create the perfect storm for fainting spells. California is so dry plus the sun even with drinking water your body may have needed more electrolytes than normal to help absorb the water. So glad you are okay!
that happened to me twice while drinking (losing vision and then passing out). I believe it was just from dehydration, running around all day, heat, alcohol, etc. My experiences were to the tee the same as what you described. I'm glad you're okay!
im only like 2 seconds in and right when u said u cant see anything.. i immediately know its a heat stroke !! the same thing happened to me once... all i saw was black for about 10 minutes.. then my vision came back and i was vomitting. Doctors said it was a heat stroke. scariest thing EVER
Hopefully a rando didn’t drug you. The same thing happened to me at a club one time. At the hospital they just said it was from the alcohol but I didn’t even have much to drink. Glad you’re checking everything out with the doctor and glad you’re okay!
I love small world stories so sharing! I’ve watched you for quite some time Met a friend of a friend who is good friends with Johnathan from high school! Arielle!
Babe you did bloodwork when you got home right? I mean it was probably the food and heat but always good to get these things checked. Also, if I have a cavity or other dental problem I have had health scares. The mouth is one of the easiest places to get an infection and if you have a high white blood cell count it could be your body fighting something else off that contributed. Glad your ok! ❤️🩹
Coachella has always been on my bucket list but idk about the heat. I get sick from the heat here in the GTA 😅 Although it's more just humidity. Glad you're okay! Side note: do the B12 patches actually work well? I'm B12 deficient.. and supplements don't help me much. Considering the patches!
It's really interesting how you described the desert heat! I'm from Toronto too, and have only every been to Florida and the Dominica (in terms of tropics) both of which are humid heat. So I'm really curious what heat is like in the desert like Palm Springs and Vegas! I can't imagine heat where it doesn't feel like a thick fog covering you!
From a locals perspective it’s a kind of dry heat for the most part but it can also be described as suffocating and sweltering for sure when it’s july and 115-120 everyday
Oh Allegra you must have been so scared. I really hope you take care of yourself. You put a lot of pressure on your work but please put your health first.
side note! if you ate edibles or smoked, marijuana fucks with your body's ability to compensate for low blood pressure if you were standing still for a long time. i have friends who have had exact same thing happen and the only variable in common has been marijuana. makes sense if you look at some of the physiological changes that thc can cause--tachycardia, BP changes. just some food for thought! disregard this if it doesnt apply to you lol
I wonder why the other influencers didn’t arrange their own transportation to Revolve festival like you did. So many videos of people complaining about the long wait for the shuttle and the disorganization.
I lose my vision sometimes when I stand up too fast as well. But this sounds exactly like the time I passed out. Didn’t eat/drink anything all morning bc I was rushing to college classes. And then had a single beer at noon in the sun and passed out. A friend caught me and Woke up embarrassed. Tried to play it off and passed out again after I stood back up. A stranger even came over to tell me to stop standing up. They had to wheel me to the medic tent 🤡
It makes me happy that you shared what made you grateful, while still accepting that it’s hard. That’s why I keep watching you. Thank you for your thank yous!
💕 feeling so lucky

Indeed, but from what I have seen it is well worth the effort.

Yes!!! It’s the lack of circulation from standing in one spot
i don't think this is why i did but so interesting, never heard that!
