I saw Toto in Toronto way back in 1987 on the Seventh One tour just before Joseph Williams had those health problems with his voice. As you say Joseph is back to those youthful heights, older and more mellow. Loved this band since I landed in LA on a visit from the UK in Jan 1979 and heard Toto on the radio with "Hold the Line".
I was seated right next to the sound board. I was there for Toto, and wished they could have kept playing for the rest of the show. The vocals are getting stronger and stronger as this tour goes on. Steve Lukather sounded pretty much like the record. Journey was Journey, which is to say they were very good. The highlight for me was Deen Castronovo (drummer) singing "Mother Father" It was a sold out show, and I think Toto being added to the bill has a lot to do with that. They (Toto) are a hard act to follow, but this is a well matched pair for the tour. BY the way, @DIMEBAGDARYL79 - You did a nice job here. 100% Oddly enough, I was more excited to see Toto last night. I'm familiar with added drummer from Snarky Puppy. If you haven't experienced that band, do yourself a favor. Amazing.
Just saw them on thursday night and as much as I love both bands, Toto sounded way better than Journey did throughout the entire night. Either way definitely a night to remember.

So they've got an hour to play and an extensive (and incredible) catalogue to pick songs from. Why they still opt to play a cover, With a Little Help, and the Joe Cocker version at that, is beyond me.

Toto did better than Journey. I Play Roxana. Africa on my Yamaha fx20 organ. Great theater sound. I'm a Hockey organist. Both those songs sound beautiful on the keyboards between periods when the zamboni resurfaces the ice.
This concert was excellent! I would have been very happy if it were just Toto. I've seen Journey twice. 10 songs by Toto wasn't enough. Joesph was unbelievable!

Toto isn't there to make new friends and fans, they are in a fist fight with Journey. Bring the good stuff and leave out the crap like Rosanna and Beatles. Let's hear some deep killer tunes like All us Boys and Hydra. Blow Journey off the stage!
They aren’t in a fist fight for fucks sake. Neal and Luke are friends have been for 40 years. Luke’s son is engaged to Jonathan Caine daughter. Toto is on the e tour because Neal called Luke and asked him if Toto would do it.

@@schuey999 Sorry they play those songs because that’s what the American audience knows and work in a short set. When they tour alone the play 2 plus hours hits and deep cuts. I saw them every year between 2012 and 2019, 15 times. Most of The people attending a Journey show don’t know the deep cuts.

Great to see how this version of the band has moulded it's groove. There is nice chemistry and the very clear Toto sound. Awesome!

Steve Lukather is one outstanding guitar player. Toto had a better sound than the headline act, Journey, at the show I saw in OKC.

The drummer before was a latin style guy, this one is more of soul and funk, both they are fantastic players.
