    Nice to watch some fishing from Dovercourt. The bigger bass and the Ray made it for me, but intriguing fishing throughout. Many thanks.

    Great video 👍 i too feel like a swimmer magnet at times, empty beach no anglers an people want to swim past big baited hooks. Keep the videos coming.

      Yes - its a quite frequent occurrence. I'm more concerned about them getting line cuts from the braid I use, if they insist on crossing my lines. Thanks for watching again.

    Another great video, amazing how some beach users can't be more thoughtful. Wouldn't have hurt going the others side of the concrete breakwater I'm sure.

    I use to get the odd larger Bass off the sea wall on higher rougher tides this time of year.A larger single bait on a ledger left rolling can pick them up while their hunting the white water.

    That used to be a bit of a hot spot for Sole and some very good Bass, but i haven't fished there for over 20yrs, so I don't know if things have changed🎣

    • @rodsangleuk6283
      @rodsangleuk6283  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      I had half hoped that I might catch a sole, but locals who talked to me whilst I was fishing claimed I would more likely see a flounder, but apparently not too many of those are around here these days either. There seem to be quite a few rays there by all accounts. Thanks for watching and commenting again Chris.

    Well fished , one of my local marks since Harwich is my home town..the larger bass you caught are the best ive seen along there for some time...I fish Stone Pier a lot, maybe you might give it a go next time, be interesting to see if you're tactics and style of fishing payes off.. Again well fished, and keep up the great Channel..John

      @rodsangleuk6283  2 ปีที่แล้ว

    Hi Mick. Why is it that some swimmers seem to think that they have a God given right to swim where and when they like even if it means interfering with another beach user who was already there? And I bet that had they snagged your line (or worse, your hooks) and been injured they would have blamed you. Rant over! Two reasonable sessions, some good fish (the larger bass in the first session and the roker in the second session), decent weather on both occasions and an interesting venue that I fancy trying. Nearly forget, an excellent video too! Your trolley looks interesting. What make is it and doers it come with the double tyre configuration as standard or was it "an extra"? Stay safe - stay healthy. Cheers. Ken.

    • @rodsangleuk6283
      @rodsangleuk6283  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Thanks again Ken. Yes the swimmers did cross my lines, giving a false bite, but as soon as they were out of the way I got proper bites - but my fishing was still unreasonably disturbed. Not sure about where I got the trolley - I've had it for quite some time but rarely use it. It was very cheap and off eBay I think - a good buy (it did come with all wheels) and cheaper than a single replacement wheel for my Carp Porter that I use for coarse match fishing.

    • @rodsangleuk6283
      @rodsangleuk6283  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Yes - I've got a couple, but can't remember the last time I've tried them! I do sometimes put on a small fish which I don't think is going to survive - but find that more successful at night and I don't do much night fishing nowadays! Thanks for watching and your suggestion.

    Another great video pal. The camera angles and the effort you put in is top notch pal. Your home must be close to the coast to go fishing there every week. I’m like 1 half hours away from the sea so would be bout 3 hours round trip for me. Well done some nice fish as well.

    • @rodsangleuk6283
      @rodsangleuk6283  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Thanks for your kind words 👍. Yes, the sea is practically at the end of my road here in Southend - useful for digging lugworm, though it's still a good drive to somewhere that fishes well!

      @@rodsangleuk6283 you are a real nice bloke pal. And btw it’s always the same with the swimmers they always come next to you and there is a whole beach left and right. Typical. Thanks for upload again. Tight lines.

    Hello there we first met you in seaford and still watching your vlog. My question is what rig and bait you reckon for us to use coz we are going and fishing in pevensey bay this weekend. Thanks and looking forward for your reply.

    • @rodsangleuk6283
      @rodsangleuk6283  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Hi Leya - black lug and squid on loop rigs and small bits of lug or ragworm on boom rigs with small hooks. Could also try fish baits on pulley rigs as there is colour in the water and rays may still be present. Good luck!

      I sometimes take sizeable fish, but prefer to put them back. Lures work best when the water is clear - too dirty here at the time I was fishing. Please check Kent and Essex IFCA District website for recreational sea fishing byelaws and size limits. Thanks for watching.
