  • This is the CJM Industries MK7/7.5 GTI & Golf R V3 Dual Gauge Pod. The CJM Industries 52mm pod is designed to fit left hand drive MK7 GTI's & R's. It replaces the factory defrost dash vent on the drivers side with a pod to mount (2) 2 1/16" (52mm) gauges. cjmind.com/collections/vw-mk7...
Also shown, are the CJM AEM X-Series Gauge Extenders. If you have tried mounting an AEM X Series gauge in any standard depth gauge pod, you may already know why we make this part. While these gauges are a great option for flush mounting, when installing in a traditional pod, they can be difficult to retain in place. This extender bolts onto the back of the gauge, providing more surface area to retain the gauge in our pods, as well as any other 52mm pod on the market. cjmind.com/products/aem-x-ser...
The AEM gauges that I am installing can be found here: amzn.to/3rjXjNZ

What do you think of this pod location?

I ordered the single pod for my ethanol sensor install. We dont get the coin drawer in the mk7 GLI so I decided to put it up there and will probably throw some film over the gauge to dim it down significantly. I'll probably pick your brain a bit when I do that install.

@@MaxiimTribe I bet if you connect the dimming wire direct to 12v with the power wire it will always be dimmer.

Very nice install vid! Been considering this location vs. something on the steering column (used to have a Scangauge II on the steering column of my MK4). Looks super clean here, just a bit hesitant about having to drill through the vent chamber. I think if I end up getting this I will drill a hole in the back of the pod and just run the wires out the back and into the dash from the side panel (and cut a notch in the panel - much easier and cheaper to replace for if/when i ever sell the R).

Do you have a video of how you mount your Cobb and rub the cable for it?

Man thank for this! I have the CJM dual pod in my MK7 GTI with the X-Series boost gauge, and that boy keeps popping out from the NVH lmao. Hopefully this will help

Also, I’ll show this in my upcoming gauge videos but the AEM gauges have a rubber band in the box that works perfect as well! It’s a very flat one, and is perfect

Hey man. I got have the accessport mount for the Mk7.5 GTI, and I'm having a really hard time getting the vent in. I don't know what I'm doing wrong. I called and I have the proper mount. I'm just at a loss really. Really disappointed. Any advice you can give would be much appreciated.
