I mean the ending even states they have to go to another world to find an ancient sage. This is a world where the akus weren’t sealed away, the legendary heroes responsible for sealing the demon king did not exist yet, advent bosses haven’t been sealed. This new world hasn’t had any intervention

This gives a nostalgic feeling like you're replaying old battle cats stages with the classic music but everything is warped and crazy (which is kind what ZL is like)
I used to be retired from the game but I came back around a year ago and SO MANY THINGS have changed, the game is worth playing again. Aku realms, behemoths, ZL, UL finished along with new legend units like Luza, Naala, Doron, ultra talents, "egg" units, many new stages and stuff to grind. The game is even more fun and the meta is alot different. Of course this all depends on when you stopped playing though.
Zero legends is kinda like pvz2 modern day where we have the timeline being split open and having harder enemies from different periods and different worlds coming towards the battle field and the mixture of classic to otherworldly to Asian to electronic pop to some orchestra with outer space influence and then back to normal Similar to pvz2 modern day where it's the classic theme but mixes aspects of the other worlds music styles for an otherworldly effect plus both of these have hard difficulty curving and prove to be a challenge with the gimmicks it throws
I like how the broken timeline fits with this theme. Like in basically every remix of the og battle theme, the part at 0:59 is essentially the same with different sounds. This time, it's different.

They already conquered the Earth’s present and future, took over space and time on the current universe. Heck, they even defended the world from imminent destruction by invading another realm. The cats went back in time far enough just to rescue the legends and then got told that there was an ancient god (not a cat) out there, though it wasn’t there at the last stage of UL meaning it is somewhere else other than here. Though you’re probably right about them making every single thing a cat. Surely something of this calibre is probably capable of creating some continuity error which is probably why the music sounds so familiar yet so off putting because something is truly off but you can’t seem to put your finger on it as to why it is. For example, Filibuster and Cat God, we all know and are familiar with but… why are they even there again? I mean, sometime later in UL, there’s a subchapter called Spacetime Distortion which brought familiar foes from earlier but not sure why they are there in the first place. I feel like we might get a new trait relating to the blue energy found in the new Z materials for Ototo. It would probably be called "Zero Enemies," and it would fit the whole alternative reality aesthetic. There are some rare units that haven't gotten talents yet, so maybe their talents would be made to counter this new trait. It has been a while since a new trait has released.

Beleive it or not no, PONOS added Hannya & W.Cyclone to evidence the fact that Zero Legends takes place in a sort of shattered reality, which would also explain the existance of not just Lil W.Cyclone (alongside the other Lil Cyclones) bur Metafilibuster too, as the timeline itself shattered after the cats killed the origin of humanity (Luza) and the Sacred Tree
