Amazing video from BWM team as always! Great research and well detailed! Lot of lessons to learn here for all founders and startups. From how they leveraged the social media to expanding their products. Only thing is they had 90lakhs with them to begin with and a budding founder like me doesn't. But that shouldn't stop one from pushing forward. I am not saying you must have money or not, but you definitely need most of the time, especially when it's a physical product and involves manufacturing.
Its an informative video. - Alongside, the last line that you shared 'As an investor MamaEarth is a clear winner' is exactly the opposite of what is happening. - If you look at the company's financials, they are at huge losses and struggling to make profits. The numbers you shared in this video shows a 5% profitability which is really low. - In 2020 their revenue is 110 crores, net profit is -428 crores. In 2021, revenue is 460 crores with a net profit of -1332 crores. - Their sales are increasing, at the cost of burning cash. To earn 460 crores they are spending 1332 crores. - Their valuation is significantly hyped, P/E ratio is 115, much higher than big brands like HUL, Dabur, which have a P/E ratio of 40-45. - Their products are definitely better than many companies, but as an investor, MamaEarth has incredibly bad financials to invest any money.
They should revamp their PR and social Media team after their recent Twitter fiasco, before coming up with IPO. Twetterrati can always bring up the old news.
@@tamanna4697 associated with Richa chadda I think which you know insulted the army right? That I think didn't go well with the people especially after a now deleted tweet from the mamaearth replied to a customer blatantly justifying richa's tweet .😅
@@KamiKaze0007 ohh I didn't knew I'm not on Twitter, she insulted the army? as an army kid I'm offended 🗿 and mamaearth defended her? what in the actual fuckk? well tbh I don't think they as a company support that "deleted tweet" but I do think they should not let their social media managers post without some supervisor approving it😅
@@tamanna4697 yes that's the thing right but I'm sure that employee must've been fired. It's not then God bless mamaearth for suck tragedy happening in the future😅😂
Nice, I wish their product goes international. Good that they had money to invest and started a business out from the product they made the chemical free cream for their baby. It's really good for our economy. If it were me, although no business would come out of it, I would still recommend Sarson ka tel instead of any skin creams :-) , but my wife would think I am old fashioned and stupid, um, maybe I am. Come to think of it, who knows, some day some entrepreneur would also make Sarson ka tel a 'cool' thing, a craze , a trend, I guess that would also be good for farmers may be?
It'll die down soon like the other hyped unicorns. They have started copying big brands and that'll be their downfall. Subjective opinion but their logo need a revamp. Such an unappealing generic effort.
The fact is their products full of chemical.... previously they make truly pure products it's first 2016 to 2018 but now they use silicon.edta phenoxyxanthol, bht , artificial fregrance it's very bad
no its to do labour job with just being able to survive 🤡 once you make money and don't know how to make more from the previously earned money you're financially illiterate.
MamaEarth suevives on over hyped marketing paid by themselves. Thanks to FitTuber, this company is still thriving.
