Wake up and do work. Create value. Don’t chase valuation. Don’t lose your identity for status. The less you worry about status the more value you can create. Eventually the valuation will come. 🔥

Well cited. I spent most of the time in start ups. Investors themselves look for college degree not the revenues, they will invest at an IITian start up without any market fit than a MSME that is making revenue. At one IIT, where I worked at incubation, I overheard the founder telling a non-IITian employee that "you are lucky, since you get a chance to sit with IITians". This is the celebrity mindset.
At one self funded start up, where they were making very good revenue from their SaaS product, they were running around investors but no one was interested in funding them, since they were not from Top colleges or anything that can impress the typical indian understanding of world. Guess what, they got funded by Chinese investors.

whatever he said is true, I myself was hustling for 3 years alone. I did not hire people at the right time. I wasn't scaling my business that well and I wasn't realising it at all. One day my servers got hacked and that day I was alone figuring out everything and which was impossible for me to handle as I didn't have a team. In the end, I had to compensate my clients for their data loss and I had to shut down my business. Big lesson learned, bring the right people to the team at right time, and don't keep on hustling yourself alone. I 100% agree with Mr. Rajiv Talreja here.

Great podcast. I have seen other podcasts as well I won't name it but sometime the host rushes to much and don't allow the speaker to share his/her perception. Truly admire the pace, the time you give to build such conversations.

Well Raj closed it abruptly without thanking and gratitude . Maybe b'coz of acquaintance. But Rajeev there is more to you than a firebrand passionate business advisor and financial expert.
I very rarely watch financial shows but caught up as I attended Rajeevs one session of successful business model. Got to know him through Success Gyan
He sounds angry and agitated but that comes because he is GENUINE and so FAIR at heart. " Sachche aadmi ko gussa aya hai."
I loved when he said all are doing their BEST and that's true. This profound belief comes from our scriptures like Geeta.
PPL like Rajeev are not invited in our corrupt fin forums as he would sing and burst the bubble of STARTUP SCAMS.
Hope I could actual apply his skills but I have no business yet . But it's so motivating and assuring that there are genuine PPL like him out there to teach REAL stuff and lay bare their closed guarded experiences.
I will watch this interview 2 more times
    Jai Bharat u

59:09 Rajiv was able to say what he did because he is focusing on what he said, the actual value creation.

This podcast is one of the best for someone who is looking forward to grow their business. I had been on Rajiv's webinar and he explained these structures very well. Although, I paid 99 Rs which is very very low when it comes to the value I received from the webinar. Well, this podcast is free, and the value it is adding up for the audience is equivalent to thousands of rupees. Great Work Raj and Rajiv.

You need guts to speak truth, to find people like Rajiv is so rare nowadays. I was Consulting one of the startups and the founder was from IIM. Whenever I consulted him he always focused on increasing product users ignoring service side. All this because he wanted capital and draw it for his own good and not for the company.
One day i was tired of explaining them about value creation and eventually stopped providing consultation. That day was the best day of my life, felt relieved from toxicity.

    Dear Raj Shamani,
In the later part of the video you talk about how our society places the blame of the failure on the individual and not on the circumstances. You suggest things to be framed differently so that blame goes off the shoulder of the founders.
It is a noble sentiment but it is fairly impractical.
If people are doing startups and failing to fulfill their financial responsibilities towards their families, then they will have to answer for it.
Indian society is not a welfare state like some first world socialist countries where just being a citizen provides you a cover. Here everyone has to earn a living and make ends meet and also plan for the rainy day or unexpected healthcare expenses.

Addition to the takeaway for this one-
I would say, everybody has business plans if they have crores..very less would be there to convert 10 lakhs into 1 crore.
Secondly ,we earn for 12 hours in a day and we pay interest for 24 hours, so keep this while raising interest money.

Most of these iitians are using their tag and get limelight, although many of iitians startups are great but I see most of these iitians quoting that bring more iitians in the team to easily get funding and that's the truth also.
I also get depressed that the path becomes extremely difficult if someone is not from IIT. Iitians get advantage in the startup space and I think it's not gonna change anytime soon

Problem is Sukoon ki neend is a very subjective thing. People can make money out of thin air, have money and get good sleep and someone else working hard doesn't get the sleep. I feel like these kind of realizations come from deep incidents in life
