Sorry, but I was a die-hard Beatles fan until the truth started coming out! They say Lennon/McCartney wrote 240 songs in the Beatles while touring, promoting, and releasing 2 albums a year? Rubber Soul is the smoking gun cause they went into the studio without having written one song to the album and within a month they had written, rehearsed, recorded and edited what is regarded as one of the best albums in history? Im a musician myself and have been working hours in the studio me and my bandmates call it bs,. Other famous musicians have said the same like the Monkeys, Hollies, Kinks, Lou Reed etc.
Skeptics question how Lennon and McCartney, who had no formal training in music theory, managed to create such sophisticated and structurally innovative songs, often blending multiple genres. Songs like "Golden Slumbers" (based on a centuries-old poem) or "Something" (with its intricate chord progressions) are cited as being too advanced for self-taught musicians. The complexity of Their Music Dramatic Evolution: Skeptics question how The Beatles evolved so rapidly from simple love songs (Please Please Me) to intricate, avant-garde compositions (A Day in the Life, Tomorrow Never Knows) in just a few years. They might suspect outside assistance from producers, arrangers, or uncredited collaborators. Orchestration and Innovation: Tracks like "Eleanor Rigby," with its classical string arrangement, or "Being for the Benefit of Mr. Kite!" with its circus-like atmosphere, suggest advanced musical knowledge beyond the initial skillset of a rock band
It's insane that out of all the people in the world that was able to interview Paul, Bob Mortimer is the one of them. It's not bad, just incredibly surreal.
I think the fact that Bob and McCartney seem to be very much into viewing the world from a surreal perspective seems to be the key. Bob and Vic Reeves humour was pretty daft , but also very surreal . Currently reading The Lyrics book. Fascinating. He wrote World Without Love, when he was 16. He nearly threw it away because he didn't consider it good enough for the Beatles. Then he gave it to Peter Asher for Peter and Gordon - and it became a worldwide number one as well as a 60s standard. Fancy writing that when you're 16! Sir Paul, I saw the Get Back documentary. It's quite obvious by how hard you work and what it has produced that you're the greatest Beatle. An honor to have shared the planet with you :).
If you consider that worldwide back in Mozart's and Beethoven's time it was only a very small percent of people who knew and listened to their music, which now about 250 years later people still listen to. Considering that back in the 1960s when I was listening and buying their records, that over the decades new generations still buy and listen to their records. I think it is safe to say that pending if the human race does have a future, what Paul and John once sat down with two guitars and produce the words and music in such short periods of time, WILL BE listened to for centuries and maybe if we do go into space, maybe one day on other planets as well.

That was great. Another one please. It would be fascinating to know the process of composing the harmonies. For example I Saw Her Standing There has a superb lead line by Paul in a major chord pop kind of way, with a superb lower harmoney by John in a blues chord kind of way. And each has a turn singing a lower harmony while the other soars into falsetto. A deceptively simple, genius piece of music, and I'm sure everyone would like insight into how that came about. If the lead line came first, it was so catchy that it was an act of genius just to come up with the lower harmony line afterwards.

Yours truly, yoursuper fan.
There’s no doubt about it. Paul and John together is the best!
Much credit to Paul's work ethic for getting as much from the Fab Four as we did. And every one of the Four contributed well to the frisson.
Those meetings between two friends in a room were one of the best things in the 20th century.
Please live forever!
Man Im Just about to see you in Curitiba, Paraná, Brazil (second lifetime), hopping to hear "My Brave Face" I' know it's probably out of the set list but It would be such a wonderfull back in time Who does not love the 80's afterall?
...It didn't happen but I must say what a spetacular review of decades of good music.
Great interview and share! Love it but also figured it
