Loved this video! Citroen Berlingo people-carrier owner here (UK) and I want to use my vehicle for occasional short-term camping. Too many "van build" videos either involve skills way above my skillset, or permanent structures, or removable structures that are so large and unwieldy that many people wouldn't be able to store in their houses (UK houses are quite small, with limited storage space) - or all three! This gave me some simple ideas that won't break the bank and use things I already have in the house. Many thanks!
I love all the built in storage areas! My minivan has a bit of a similar set up but without the storage areas. It's a work van and the seats fold into the floor. I cut 2 pieces of wood almost in a T form because there was more width between the sliders than by the back hatchback. I put foam, similar to pool noodles, all around the outer edges to protect the van's interior and my legs when taking them in and out. I found the OSB left lots of splintered wood on the carpet so I covered all of it in 3 mil plastic which also helped to hold the foam in place. I've transferred this to rentals before but it's never occurred to me to use it as a camping van! Brilliant idea and thank you for sharing!
When I saw the bucket in the first shots I was going to comment “hey you’ve even got your poop bucket!” As a joke… then I kept watching. 😅 I guess whatever it takes.
Never would have considered using a rental for camping, making the frame to be temporary and reusable for different vehicles is an awesome idea.
I think some cheap pool noodles would be a great idea between the frame and the side of the vehicle, then you wouldn't have a gap.

That's a great idea. Our setup is slightly different, as I have to have space for my wheelchair.
Fantastic Build, awesome job. God bless & be safe during this Hurricane 🙏🏼
Very nice, can you put the dimensions of both sections in. Just as a ballpark?
Enjoyed your video thanks for posting 👍
My dad did not the same thing with a Dodge Maxi van tuck the back two seats out and six of us we're able to go on a 2-week vacation that way
Perfect idea! Thanks!

Maybe one day!
@@peterdebrino8290 Same!
Looks like the rear seats were folded. You would have had a lot more space if you had removed them. Otherwise, very cool idea.
Fun TImes
Why did you travel 4000 miles was it a holiday all the best
