- This video shows my new toy, the Center Balanced Systems AK Spike X1S bullpup chassis, fitted with my real steel WASR-10. I think that this platform will work with certain airsoft rifles as well, and I'll be testing that out a little later on. For now, you can see how it fits and functions with a real AK fitted.
Center Balanced Systems can be found here: www.cbrps.com/ - กีฬา
so this is the freaky thing that's in payday 2 right now
I'd love to see this mounted on an RPK. Just that massive barrel jutting out from the front.
If you ever read this look up v-47 rifle and think what this kit turns the rpk into
Not too shabby.Koo bullpup. The left side looks krazy futuristic & tactical. Something I imagine in the year 2030.
Pretty bad ass looking. I think you did fine on this video dude - don't mind the haters, they always need a snack.
Im lovin the design of this badass gun!
Been thinking about how to make a true AK bullpup ..this has given me a few things to look at.
For those who want to know the song in the beginning is.
Animus Vox - by The Glitch Mob
DRINK THE SEA album.
Good song if you are into electronic music.
Saw another guy on TH-cam sanded the lip on the top front of the magazine and that really helped the mag changes.
i like the futuristic look, using it as a rifle in my book
A great inventor! BRAVO!!!!
at first i thought it was an airsoft review, and i was like "eh okay i airsoft too so might as well" and then he took out the recoil spring and bolt and from there i was losing it haha
Interesting build
This looks pretty slick. I was considering not getting a kit from them, since all the review videos I saw on their SKS conversion kit looked like a piece of junk. Glad to see their new Spike kits are at least improved in almost every regard. Shame the trigger still sticks, though. I wonder if CBPRS would ever consider a Vektor LM5 conversion?
If they did make an airsoft version, some parts don't need to be made out of steel (probably), so it should cost a little less.
It looks pretty cool, much cooler than the L85A2. :)
So, assuming the the stock connector is correct, do you think this would work in tandem with and airsoft AK without the motor, like a fusion engine or even the SMP?
Great idea. For GHK AK series, which one will fit the best? AKM only? Thx
If the receiver was white it would look very futuristic lol. Very nice looking furniture kit.
Did you ever fit an airsoft gun to this kit? Really wanna see it. I think it would look really cool.
Booligan Airsoft Hey man, I would appreciate if you would do an updated video on this setup. Your video is the most comprehensive and best explained regarding the X1S chassis. I would love to see how the system holds up to extended use, do the joint weaken with recoil? any real flaws? Also would it be functional in a select-fire AK?
The kit has held up great in my use. The biggest flaws are the lack of a trigger return spring and the required re-training of your muscle memory to do magazine changes. Magpul mags work great with the kit BTW. The trigger hasn't caused me any major issues aside from getting stuck back once or twice while shooting. I'm working on rigging up a return spring system to mitigate this.
As far as a select fire AK, provided it's a stamped AKM type body, it SHOULD work just fine. I'd address specific questions on compatibility with the manufacturer.
Thanks for the quick replay.
I live in Iraq and I've contacted the manufacturer about the possibility of getting one of their systems. I'm a huge bullpup fan and the ak here is tried and true. The idea of a bullpup ak seemed logical. The company apologized from shipping a piece here due to the current condition of my country. I'm still hoping for things to improve though. I thought that a locally made system based on this chassis would be a viable option, but it's just not the same. I hope for this system to receive more media attention as there are very few vids on TH-cam for it.
Once again thanks for the answer and thanks for your video.
you can fix the magazine issue by buying some steel or polymer 20 round mags. It was the same issue the AMD 63 and 65 ran into, but they just used 20 round mags to solve the problem
THIS IS FREAKIN' AWESOME.
I imagine you could use a Daytona Gun or Polastar kitted LCT AK and be pretty well off. Expensive endeavor certainly though.
Would a WE AK PMC work with this kit? I'm interested in upgrading the PMC with a crap ton of RA parts and wondered if i should order this too.
this is my fav looking gun ever. after the AA-12 this is one of my fav guns in general. im making a working lego one.
It looks cool.
Booligan Airsoft i saw you had problems with the mag changes i recommend getting a Magpul Ak mag there a lot more slim and not so curved, with those you change mags like a charm
Loved the vid Bool, but I noticed when you were on about the trigger sticking back if it's pulled too hard that it looked like the bottom of the trigger spoon was contacting with the trigger guard. I was thinking maybe if you shaved a couple of mil off the bottom of the spoon would that remedy the problem? Also, most Kalashnikov style platforms I've seen have the "Swinging D" style sling mount at the rear of the gun on the left flank, does the kit require you to remove that?
The trigger issue has pretty much worked itself out with time. It wasn't binding up there, it was just from where it touched the receiver and side panel. And AKM style AKs, which this kit is designed for, don't have that side sling mount. The side mount is actually quite rare on AKs.
good to know the binding eased itself out without having to take a trip to the work bench
Cool bro I like it. I wouldn't convert my VEPR but maybe get a cheap AK minus furniture from tiger rock (I.O.) or palmetto and do that. I really think it'd look better with a fat flash can sticking out an inch past the handguard kind of like an AR pistol. Would help direct the blast downrange since your face is in the action. Would be a compact versitle gun. Dare I ask how is the trigger? Cleaning I guess isn't that important on an AK, could just snake it out. Thanks for taking the plunge and showing this video.
what if you jerry rig the motor horizontaly? also cut a little bit off of pistol grip to make reloads easey
God damn this gun is so fucking cool, it's like something Kyle Reese would fight Terminators with.
I've always wondered why there weren't any decent 7.62x39 bullpups, as the AKM does have some flaws and they'd be easily solved through a bullpup re-design.
Does this thing start to get hot on the foregrip very quickly? There's another quite prominent AK bullpup chassis (Century Arms Bullpup) but there's just kind of a metal heat shield to hold onto around the barrel, and the trigger is like only 5 inches back from the end of the barrel, so you either grip the trigger handle with both hands or hold onto the heat shield with your left hand and stop shooting after one magazine because it turns into a fucking stove burner.
Booligan....would this work on a Saiga? It seems your AK has the tang just like a Saiga. Just curious.
any chance i could get the dimensions of the chasis and rear ends? unfortunatly its ilegal to buy the realsteel version in Canada, so i have to machine it.
20 rounders work fine, I just prefer 30 rounders and I think the US Palm mag will work great. Still need to pick one up though.
I would buy this kit in a heart beat for airsoft AK's!
Im assuming this would fit on the WASR-2 (im cheap so shoot 5.45X39) and also whats the MSRP on this thing ?
How is it with the gas coming from the ejection point into the shooters face? I saw this mentioned with one of the other bullpup conversions as a problem that specific kit tried to mitigate
It’s a non issue.
Great design, looks nice, however the shortened distance between your front and rear sights will reduce accuracy. This is the one major drawback of a bullpup in my view.
Did u purchase yours direct from the company or how did you aquire yours?
Wonder if the Buttpad can be purchased separately? Be nice on an Airsoft version if it could be mounted. Sure it could be 'engineered' to work.
did you ever find out if it worked with any other AEGs?
Holy Cow Sweet. I have been wanting to see an Airsoft bullpup gun that takes AK Style mags. I wish this was a gun I could buy. Since I stink at bulding stuff.
Dear Booligan I have the same gun and the same problem with trigger It looks like you find a way to tighten it up and I am wondring if you can fix my if I send it to you or any help you can help me with please let me know thanks so much Sincerely David.
Why isn't this a thing? This needs to be a thing now.
Booligan Airsoft: Can you offer any insight in to how this things feels in your shoulder? I'm interested in getting this and other kits for the Ruger and Nagant, but wary about the buttpads on these things.
Appreciate ANY info or pics/vids regarding. Thank you so much.
+jacobsladder74 The angle of the butt pad is very comfortable. It's hard polymer material, but the angles on it are great.
+Booligan Airsoft great to hear. I have ATI Scorpion padding/stocks on everything. don't know if I want to invest in hard polymer chunks in my shoulder
You can certainly add your own rubber/foam padding to the butt pad if you want. 7.62x39 recoil is pretty weak though, I've never shot this thing and wished that it had more padding, lol.
+Booligan Airsoft Broken c5 vertebrae, extensive nerve damage. I rarely get to shoot more than a few rounds anymore... even .22LR. So, anything helps, some of us.
i just bought this, and my trigger bar didn't come with the screw in the middle and my front block doesn't fit flush. id have to sand a few cm to make it fit. Did i do something wrong or what did you run into this problem too.
+meleeownage I certainly had to do my fair share of dremel work throughout the kit to make it all work right. If you just bought it, he may have revised the kit to get rid of the trigger bar screw. I'd contact him directly with your concerns.
I don't see how it would be able to work. That stock piece is where the whole side plate mounts. I'd shoot an email over to Center Balanced Systems to ask if they have any options.
Awsome man this rocks
On the website, they have a few pics showing a drum mag in it. I did a quick test with an airsoft drum mag and it is damn hard to hold. That drum mag right behind the grip makes it quite uncomfortable.
Eh, probably not. The issue isn't with rapidly locating the magwell, it's with there not being enough room to rock the mag into place. This is caused by the pistol grip, but I think the angled base of USPalm mags should solve it. I just need to snag one to try out.
I have a few questions. One, can I use my 5.45 AK, and do I need multiple tools to install the AK into the chassis
I believe it'll work with 5.45 AK rifles as long as the receiver is a standard AKM type design. If you're building it off of a 74 type rifle, you'll need to contact CBRPS to order the right kit. It included all of the tools to install it, however, I did need to do some dremel work on it to make it fit properly.
Booligan Airsoft ok thanks
for some reason i cant find this model on their website
but do you think this would work for a SAM5 / any AK chambered in 5.56?
Looks like it’s still on their site: www.cbalanced.com/AK.html
@@booliganshootingsports i see, i clicked the other link in the description , been trying to find the exact model you where using!
thanks for the alt link, long time fb fan, glad to find this video posted by you as well B)
Man, there are a lot of whiny, entitled people who don't watch or listen to what you say and then demand content that you actually included.
i.e. --What's all this business about firearms and airsoft? I wanted a video on how to replace spark plugs in my lawn mower. You should put a cover image that says "NOT LAWNMOWER SPARKPLUGS"- I watched through 10 minutes of you showing and talking about something other than lawnmowers and just now realized it is not about spark plugs. What's wrong with you nerds.!?...
I have no idea why that made strike through.
GunFun ZS f
My steel magazines won't clear the grip. Wonder what's different about mine.
Hey man this is John you should buy the MFER system for that gun it should solve the problem with the mags
how much work do you think it would be to mount this onto an airsoft ak with a P* fusion engine so that you wouldn't have to worry about the motor as i want to do this.
If the AK has a standard AK47 style gas block and the receiver is properly stamped with a hollow back end like a real AK, it should be good to go. Some AK AEGs have a rectangular extension that sticks out the back of the receiver with the stock removed, this is a problem. I believe a DBoys/Kalash AKM will work perfectly.
Booligan Airsoft
alright tnx i might be trying this in a month or 2
Nyet! Rifle is fine!
Said nobody who actually has to fight with the AK ever
Ordered it straight from the company. Pretty much the only way you can buy them I think.
I really want the AK Civi Standard kit but its been unavailable for a few years :(
will this stock fit on a zestova m70 n pap
where do you buy this?
Can you put a suppressor on it? What is the best romanian ak to use with this kit? Thanks
You would have to modify the front cap to fit whatever suppressor you end up getting, but yes, with all the proper NFA paperwork and some custom work, you can absolutely fit a can on this.
That would look epic with a drum mag
10/10 would buy
Does this work with rifles without cleaning rod or bayonet lug?
Not really, as the whole front of the kit is secured through the bayonet lug.
would this work on a Daytona AK-47
It would be nice if they made an airsoft kit.
se puede fabricar bullpup para otra escopeta? .... para una hatsan escor cal.12.
Sweet lookin rig deal breaker for me is you couldn't shoot it lefty...
Where can I order one
Wow, it looks cool, but I still think the way you had your AK before was way better. The safety looks very impractical on that bull-pup configuration.
There are two safeties now. Activating the main safety simply requires you to reach over the top cover and flip the lever. Takes less than a second with a little practice. The second safety physically blocks the kit's trigger from pulling back, and is located right on the pistol grip. It's really a non-issue.
Cut the end off your grip and it will fix your mag problem.
But if you are worried about how it looks you probably won't; then again, you will probably not ever actually need to do a quick mag change anyway.
Not crazy about some of the ergonomics of this design though, Awkward charging handle position.
Still, it looks cool.
The newest version offers an option to relocate the charging handle up front to the gas tube.
Would a Cyma/Dboys ak fit in this kit?
A -$100 AEG in a $310 kit? No thanks. Get E&L, LCT, or GHK.
What kind of paint is that?the tan paint?
***** It was Krylon Camo if I remember correctly.
Would this work with the plastikov?
Since he Plastikov has a wider receiver to fit the multi-piece design (where it bolts together the last time I saw the files), I think it would have issues fitting unfortunately.
***** this system works with AK 74 ?
Can you still install a muzzle break?
+lulztr0n You'd have to open up the front piece enough to allow it to fit, but yes, it's doable.
Surprised i havent seen this in movies of late 2019
So, did this work on an airsoft Ak?
Still working on getting one. I've got a few sponsors looking for a suitable airsoft platform to start with.
Booligan Airsoft
I really really hope to see this in airsoft!
This is like the most awesome of awesome things I've seen in so long!
Thank you from bringing this to light and exposing us to it. I shared it on my team page and can't stop talking about it. Very cool video!
***** Same please.
thats sweet
What’s the name of this weapon ?
that is fucking SICK!!!!
That gun has a face only a mother could love, still a cool idea though.
Get an Norinco 86S, it is an AK built from the ground up as a bullpup and is much better.
i hope they have the airsoft counterpart
Do they still make these guns I can’t find it anywhere
Yes, the kits are listed on their website. www.cbrps.com
Im looking for the actual gun and is this for for air soft or real guns?
@@kuzoduno those are for actual guns, just like this video is on an actual gun...
Alright so last question do you know a website were I can find the gun without the kit? Cause I can’t find it
@@kuzoduno No, it's just a WASR-10. Normal Romanian AK variant. This kit works with loads of different AK type models.
it looks nice but the mag release seems like a pretty huge inconvenience.
AK mags need to be rocked free anyways, so the location of the mag release itself is fine. It’s not like the drop free with the push of a button even on a normal AK platform.
@@booliganshootingsports that's exactly what I mean. you have limited space forward.
It clears the grip fine with steel 30 round mags as well as US palm mags. Magpuls are tight and Tapcos require some sanding. 20 round mags of any type are fine.
Booligan Airsoft The Glitch mob - Animus Vox.
You're welcome.
Post the music song name when you use it.
Any instructions on how to make one?
They feature precision stamped and hardened steel which is also powder CV coated. Not a simple fabrication job for the hobbiest.
Hay do you have a number that I can call love to run some ideas together
I really want to get a CBS rifle, but I'm left handed :(
i want this for airsoft so bad lol
i dont think it would be that hard to replicate either, maby a c02 version.
Just throw it on a ghk
That front might look nice if you are the tacticool type but its going to be a bitch to clean let alone in a real combat situation where you have to knock the mud out of it.
The original AK? no problem, could be cleaned with a shoestring and some grease
You can field strip this in 10 seconds. Literally zero difference with the regular gun when it comes to cleaning the gun.
Booligan Airsoft thats my point you don't have to field strip an AK to clean it, its that reliable. Not saying this thing is bad, it wasn't mean to go into actual combat or anything
The reliability of this gun is totally unchanged vs a normal ak. And yes, you do have to basic field strip an ak to clean it. If you get crap in the barrel of your ak, you need to pull the bolt out and run something through the barrel. That doesn't change whether it's normal or in this bullpup kit. I just don't get the point you're trying to make.
If you have a specific concern, post it. But don't just make a blanket statement that this design is inherently less reliable or harder to maintain without citing some actual examples.
Booligan Airsoft How is having the whole barrel covered by a box making it "totally unchanged vs a normal ak"? seriously
The muzzle is right there accessible at the front. If you need to clean the barrel, the procedure is absolutely unchanged. Like I said, what are your specific concerns about reliability and maintenance? Tell me them and I will address them.
maybe it would be better if you would put a silencer to it to reduce its recoil.
Should have put a saiga in that
The kit looks cool, but for practical cleaning its a dud. However, on the plus side since now no one really makes a bull pup AK and other bull pups are over the $1600 range makes lots of sense. AK about $500-$1000 kit $310 + some minor self provided labor = $800-$1300 AK Bull pup.
You can pull off the top cover and remove the bolt for cleaning in about 10 seconds. Everyday cleaning is unchanged.
got a idea for a HPA AK47 bullpup!
so basically you would need a aeg body with a full wood stock?
If you extended the nose like a normal barrel it would look like that titanfall 2 weapon
How can I get a piece like this plz
rased Aliraqi You buy it and build it.
from where ?????
I have a link to the company that sells the kit right in the info section on the video.
thnx my bro
I actually really like the look of this. Reminds me of the rifles from the movie Soldier. I'd put an airsoft AK in this in a heartbeat.
Hola donde va el motor?
+milagros Garcia Gonzales No hay motor , este es un arma real .
jejeje si no lo habia visto bien.
