    Thanks. I look forward to my little Barbados cherry tree growing enough to produce fruit. But the leaves and branches are growing like crazy now.

    I think they make those large chewable quarter sized Vitamin C tabs. From the Barbados Cherry “Acerola”

    Have you tried to grow low chill cherries from Dave Wilson Nursery. Minnie Royal, Royal Lee, and Royal Crimson. If figure if you can grow FD Aprium that low chill stone fruit cherry tree should do well. They also come off in May

    It would be great if you did a video on what trees/bushes can be proposed from a cutting.

    Could you kindly tell me what the white material is that you wrap your trees with?

    How tall do the cherries grow....was considering them for a hedge if it gets to about 10-12 feet...thanks...you think they can survive Tucson winters?...guess you answered the first question lol...

    So, should I fertilize my small inground barbados cherry? I had flowers last year but no cherries. Plant was also tiny then. Now it is about 2 feet and got a flower the other day.

    I have two Barbados cherry trees, and I love them. I want my Barbados to be more of a tree than a bush, so I am trimming them to be a tree. Why didn't you talk about the irritant in the leaves? I still need to buy 3 more trees for my livestock fence line, which will be more of a bush than a tree.

    So these won’t take the freeze of the high desert in the 20s?

    • @SuburbicultureAZ
      @SuburbicultureAZ ปีที่แล้ว

      They'll die back. Plant next to wall or house if you get multiple nights of freeze per year.

      With enough work and protection, you can have anything you want. Will it be ok without frost cloth the first couple of years, probably not

    I doubt they would survive here, Zone 9 A. Tucson, yes, but they average warmer winters.
    What I want is Capuli/Capulin, the native trees. I do have one, or a Capuli/European cross. It blooms thick each spring but wind knocks off the fruit. That's changing slowly as Mesquite begins to mature.

    • @ArizonaFruitTrees
      @ArizonaFruitTrees  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I had a Capulin for years and it always dropped blooms. Finally cut it down

      @@ArizonaFruitTrees Mine loses the fruit in wind storms. If you hear of any, let us know. They need full sun, my man. Best to you, and thanks for being a good teacher.

    Some really condescending phrases the first part of your video, like your audience is very ignorant, which made it hard to listen. The information is good. Just got a baby Barbados Cherry. Love your tree!

    They are not real cherries. They should have a different name.
